Cast of Characters: Daisy Johnson, Kora Johnson

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Breaking out of those caves had been the breath of fresh air Daisy needed. Back to the ice cold of the mountains! It beat the alternative of the musty, dead air within the old abandoned mines.

"Great view, isn't it?" She turns to look down the mountain where a blanket of snow is visible almost till the eye can't see anymore. Daisy's eyes turn to Kora after, mist forming in front of her mouth due to her breathing. "But get ready to get your mind blown!" beat, "Not literally..." probably good to add that just in case Kora thinks this is some weird trap.

And indeed there's quite the mind-blowing temple around an hour after they leave the caves. Old, some of it in ruins but still standing the passage of time. It's large stone doors are ajar, some sayings in the wall.

Kora Johnson has posed:
There stands a temple. Kora looks at the large stone doors and the juts of stone rock that framed the pathway leading to them once upon a time. Carved in to the stone above the doorway are strange symbols. "Enter all ye ...Chosen," Kora says reading the symbols, written in Kree, as if it were a second language.

For her it is. Still, she look utterly perplexed to be seeing it written carved in to stone at an ancient hidden temple on top of a mountain. "The gods and goddesses are truly laughing at us right about now aren't they..."

She looks back at her sister, her breath puffing out in front of her too as she trudges in to the sheltered temple antechamber. It's still cold and the floor is covered with snow that has spilled in but it is decidedly less weatherly inside than out.

There's evidence of battle here. Ancient battle. This place has more history than you can poke a stick at and chances are very for of the people from Afterlife ever came here or even knew about it.

"I didn't bring a sack of sand in case we have to counter-balance an artefact on a pedestal to stop a giant boulder crashing down on top of us," she says hiding her trepidation and wonder as she looks around at the carvings in the stone. Swirls, lines, cuts through the lines. It's like the stone wants to say something but not in a written language.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"There's hope for you still if you know the good ol' classics." This about Kora mentioning Indiana Jones. She does offer a grin though. "Don't think a rock trying to squish us would be a problem though.." a bit of twirl of her fingertips and she walks into the temple further, eyes darting here and there. She focuses a few moments, reaching out, tentatively, her powers now developped enough she can feel the shifts in the air, looking if they may have 'company'.

Who knows? Maybe the cougars had found a new resting place!

"Come on." She gestures, leading them towards a wall. She places one hand on it and then her head turns to look and ... "Here.." it's almost as if she went -through- the wall but no, there's a depression on the wall that opens a passage. She walks into another chamber.

"This is where I found the goblet when I was here. The one that spoke to me."

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora actually smiles as Daisy reveals to her a secret passage. That's awesome. She enters in to the chamber. There are old scrolls resting on cut out shelves. The language they are written is ancient Mandorin. Good luck reading that - but interspersed with them are Kree symbols. Kora picks one at random and sits on the dusty floor unfolding it and her eyes skim over it.

The last time Daisy came to this temple she found the goblet with Lara. She also had company but what she did not have was an understand of the song, nor of just how powerful she could become with her abilities. Now when she reaches out to feel the temple she can feel those walls, the very stuff they are made of, and the strange patterns on them.. they sing back. There's more to this place and it is awakening.

"You weren't kidding about this place having stuff relevant to Inhumans," she gushes. "Afterlife had an amazing library and a lot of it was translated but I've never handled a centuries old scroll written by our ancestors. I wonder what it says.. something about the fertility of plant seeds?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Now that they are within the room where the goblet was Daisy has gone curiously silent. She doesn't even seem to react to the scrolls. And it's not as if she is seeing anything, her eyes glazed as if she was looking at something beyond. Something not of -here-.

Or maybe she is sensing it instead, feeling those walls resonate around them. The patterns. All of it awakening and drawing Daisy in, making her delve further into the meaning of it. Almost as if she felt at home.

A loud gasp escapes her after a few minutes of silence. "Can you hear it? It sounds beautiful.." she murmurs, clearly not having heard Kora's question about the scroll and the plant seeds.

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora is back to the shelves and dusting her fingers along the stone revealing carved symbols. "You said my energy was life energy didn't you?," she queries and glances back at her sister, zoning out. "Hm," she remarks and strokes her fingers over the symbols until she finds the one relevant to life. There's only one scroll there and she takes it off the shelf.

Her lips blow over it casting away centuries of dust when suddenly the temple shakes all over. Dust jumps off the ground and falls from the ceiling. "Beautiful? Feels more like an earth quake," Kora says with concern. But it's not - it's the inner chamber opening itself up. Daisy can feel the temple reacting to her presence.

The inner chambers stone doors part and the preserved arm poking out between them finally drops. On the inside, the terrigenesis stoned body trying to get out of the room before it shut finally falls to pieces. Like so much dust, the interior reveal itself.

Kora follows the sound and steps out of the room they're in to see the entrance to a circular chamber. There's a pedestal in the middle with a beam of light falling down upon it decoratively. On the ground is a Kree Diviner. It's opened and the terrigenesis has been used up.

"Daisy... this is amazing," she says as she tucks the scroll in to her jacket for now. She scoops up the diviner and its surface flashes orange as it makes circuit like pattern and then begins to flow blue Kree text over it too fast for Kora to follow.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"The whole temple is singing.." She replies to it feeling like an earthquake. Go figure why she's called Quake! Daisy still keeps her eyes closed, arms open to the sides, listening, feeling that ancient stone move and reveal that inner chamber. "And yes, life." she finally re-opens her eyes as the doors are open, gaze going to her sister. "Let's see what we can find.." insatiably curious.

Moving along with Kora Daisy joins in by the entrance to the chamber. Eyes trail the beam of light. The Diviner. It has her furrowing her brows.

"Wait, are you sure that diviner does what the others do?" She furrows her brows as those symbols start to run too fast to be followed.

She paces around the room. "What do you think this was? A chamber of transition? I know they have a few rituals up on the Moon that may be similar to this..." something she'd certainly have to talk with Blackagar about.

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora nods her head excitedly to Daisy. "Yes. But someone used it - possibly a poor Human - long before us," she says and squints at the symbols as they fade in and fade out on the diviner. "I wonder how they do it on the moon. It's said these were scattered around the Earth for us to find to limit our supply of Terrigen. Only the worthy - ah.. the chosen - would find them."

A smile of delight is on her face as she explains to Daisy, "But Inhumans explored the planet using their gifts and gathered them up for places like Afterlife to use for selective terrigenesis. This one slipped through the cracks - probably because it was already used. So close to Afterlife. The irony."

She spots foot prints in the floor dust and turns around slowly, suspiciously. Suddenly, she feels a shoulder barge right in to her and she crashes to the ground dropping the diviner. "Daisy! There's someone in here!," she practically squeaks in surprise and picks herself up.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Give it to humanity to not follow what.., destiny.., or fate.., wanted for them." A smirk on Daisy's lips. Always a rebel this one! "We trail our own path, it's not some alien race that's going to decide it for us.." she is still pacing around the room, fingertips over the writings on the walls, cleaning some of the ancient dust there. Yay for her sinuses.

"Only one person reached up here though? I wonder--" It's when Kora gets the shoulder tackle. Daisy turns around sharply after that, jumping in to protect Kora and looks around with a frown.

"I am not seeing anyone.." eyes narrow. She can't see anyone but maybe ... she lets her senses expand.

Kora Johnson has posed:
Daisy can certainly sense the person in the room. All three of them - Daisy, Kora, and a strange man who is completely naked. He has a wild feeling about him. If he was in that terrigenesis cocoon then likely he has been in it since the room sealed away.

He's also missing an arm. His free hand scoops up the diviner. It bobs about it in the air as if it were levitating which makes Kora's eyes go wide in wonder. He keeps looking down at himself and then around the room, then, he turns and runs for the exit in the buff. He is, for Kora anyway, completely invisible.

She watches the diviner dance around in the air and then watches as it starts to dance through the air toward the exit. "H... Hey stop!," she says and chases after it trying to catch Mr. Invisible.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Really? Invisibility?" Daisy exclaims, following Kora out of the room as the guy starts making a run for it. She doesn't really want to -hurt- the guy. He's an Inhuman after all. And who knows how long he's been here?

"He's naked so we might both be glad that's his power." She quips back to Kora. And how far will a naked guy run in the snow? "It's freezing outside, you will die.. Come back, we will help.." not that she knows he even understands english. Her bet is in NO. So she tries the same in mandarin. << We will help you >>

Lifting her hand up she points it at the large doors. They begin to shudder and close. << We are like you. >>

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora chases after the diviner around a corner losing sight of Daisy as she comes face to face with four giant men whose skin is blue. Some have dark tattoos across their eyes and down their arms. They are carrying alien looking staffs and weapons.

The leader of the group grabs the floating diviner. Feeling a human attached to it, he grips at where the neck should be and lifts up the invisible man. In Kree he states, <<"Invisibility. We're in the right place. Search the temple, there may be more samples.">>

Kora's mouth drops open. Unsympathetically a taser like device hits the invisible man and he lets out gutteral cry, then clearly goes limp in the Kree's arm based on how his blue muscles flex.

It takes a moment for the words to filter through her brain - it's not like anyone has heard Kree spoken on this planet in hundreds of thousands of years. She knows the words taught to her by Jiaying and has seen them written.

What it means, though, is she is seen by the Kree right before she turns back around to duck back behind the corner and pushes Daisy up against the wall. Bringing a finger to her lips. Her eyes wide she whispers in hushed, rushed tones, "Kree. The Kree are here. They just shocked invisible guy and they said spread out and capture more of... of us."
