Synopsis: Kora makes a minor breakthrough with her powers, interrupted by Daisy thanks to a prank sharing her hit song from the Framework, Uh-Oh. The two bond dancing to the song and then talk about what happened to dad.
Cast of Characters: Kora Johnson, Daisy Johnson

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora twitches her face a little as she stares at the small sapling poking out of the dirt within a pot. This wasn't the first time she'd attempted this challenge but now there's more context to it. The scroll was in old Chinese and very hard to understand but she remembered one of the tests from Afterlife.

Only this time she has a new tool at hand, that strange feeling she had when she came back from the dead thanks to Daisy. That and this dope music that one of the SHIELD techs gave her.

Touch.

~ Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Yeeeah. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Yeeeah. ~

Kora sings along as she holds out her hands and lets her power push forth from her. She holds back the reins, letting it trickle instead of flood like usual. Her eyes shut as she sings to the song.

~ I can't concentrate - While you're messing with my brain - I can't think straight - Make me want to misbehave - I don't know what I'm doing - But I know where this is going - Uh-oh, Uh-oh, Uh-oh ~

Daisy Johnson has posed:
~ I can hear my heart go, racing out of control ~

That's what's heard as a certain Daisy Johnson makes her way into the room, having noted the thump-thump of the rhythm of that music she's listening to while walking through the corridor.

And why does her voice sound -exactly- like the person singing that song?

"There's a story behind that music..." She says with a smirk, folding her arms together. She's already imagining what she will be doing to whoever it was that shared that music with Kora. EVIL things! "... and a choreography too." she sagely nods.

It's only a moment later that she notes that Kora is actually trying to concentrate doing...., is that a sapling? "Are you trying to make that thing grow?"

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora cups her hands about the sapling and lets the 'sun' shine in. It's a subtle trickle and she is bopping her head. The weird thing is - the sapling is growing, slowly, but far faster than if it were left out in the sun and rain to grow naturally. Daisy's intuition strikes again.

Kora, however, is in the moment and hasn't quite registered Daisy's presence as she sings loudly as one does when wearing head phones ~ I get dizzy - Falling for you baby - Uh-oh ~

Suddenly she realises Daisy is in the room talking to her and her eyes bug open wide. There's a flare from her hands and the sapling bursts in to flames. So promising, but up in smoke. The smoke alarms do their job and the base is filled with a different kind of music.

"Damn it," she says and takes off the headphones only then realising they weren't plugged in and everybody could hear the song she was playing loudly. The glow from her hands disappears as it does from her eyes.

"You distracted me. I can't concentrate" heh "if you're talking at me and sneaking up on me all agenty like that." She waves her hand at the pillar of smoke curling up from the now dead pot plant.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The only good thing? At least the sprinklers didn't turn on. At least not yet. Daisy does look up at the ceiling somewhat warily though but seems like they won't be getting an early bath. Hands rest on her hips. "Really..." she scoffs, "... no idea how someone can concentrate with that music." hip thrusted to the side.

"So, what were you doing?" She questions, chinjerking in the direction of the now burnt plant.

"And who gave you that song to listen to?"

What's the more important question to Daisy?! By her tone it's hard to figure that out.

"Also, I am a super spy. It's my job to sneak up on people. Specially sisters who don't even know the choreography to -that-."

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora shrugs her shoulders and throws up her arms in confusion and frustration. "Ugh. You're impossible sometimes Daisy. I don't know who gave it to me .. the .. the red headed one. All agents look the same to me." A small smirk. She shakes her head though.

"What do you mean choreography. Hey did you know you sound a lot like the singer in that song," she states rather astutely not quite in on the joke. Whichever agent gave it to her has pulled off a master level prank on Daisy.

"I..," she states recovering a little bit. She stands up from the lotus-sit she was in and stretches her arms back, "was doing a meditation technique mom taught me years ago because there's a picture of it in the scroll we got from the temple of invisible guy."

She picks up the scroll very delicately to show Daisy a tiny drawing of two hands cupping a flower in a pot.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Yeaaaaaa...." Meditation. Right. "Mother tried to teach me that.." Daisy shakes her head, "I am no bueno at staying still with my eyes closed and ohming away." she admits. "Matt has tried to teach me the same." wait, who's Matt?

She relaxes against the side of the door, hands resting on the back pockets of her jeans. The red-headed agent. Oh yes, she will have someone to interrogate. "That's because I am the one singing that ..." she lets out a deep sigh. "Long story, involving alternate timelines and AIs trying to exert control over our lives. Apparently I was a pop star." there.

She then peering over to the picture on the scroll, "Is that the meditation technique?" she asks, a touch confused.

"Or what are you trying to do?"

Kora Johnson has posed:
An agent rushes to the room with a fire extinguisher in his hands. There's a fire panel lit up for Bobby's room after all. When he gets there seeing Daisy and no actual fire. He smiles, waves, and then heads back to turn the alarm off.

An eyebrow is raised at Daisy when she says she can't meditate. It seems like half her childhood was spent meditating. "Who's Matt?" That's what she gets from that of course. But then the big relavation.

"Whaaaat..." She looks at the song track name 'Uh-Oh by Skye Starr' then looks back at her sister. "What?" is all she can repeat after that. Screw the meditation question.

She puts the scroll carefully down and sits on the bed, patting it. "SPILL. I must know -everything- about this alternate timeline where you're a popstar." The grin on her face is as wide as it can possibly go because this is the best thing she's heard of ever.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
And the rushing Agent gets Daisy's patented 'nothing to see here' wave in return. Along with an apologetic smile. Then back to the situation at hand. Who is Matt? That has Daisy lift her brows, "The guy I have been living with for a couple of years ago or so." a wink back at Kora, "I am sure he'll love you. I will bring you over to meet him sometime." she promises.

And then all the questions about the Framework. She winces. Daisy knew she should had kept her trap shut. "Old Hydra project that got out of hand. We came across it a year back or so. Some of our agents got captured and then .., we went in to save them. It was a deturpate version of our world where Hydra had won, so you can imagine it wasn't a very easy time for anyone in there.." she settles down on the bed.

"And turns out I was a famous pop star, living with a sugar daddy..." she rolls her eyes. Hard. "I know those songs by heart now.., and the dance moves."

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora looks coyly at Daisy as she casually mentions she's been living with a guy. "Uh huh! I have to meet him now," she says with a grin. But then the discussion of the framework begins and she frowns deeply at the idea of HYDRA controlling the world. "I sure hope you burned the whole thing to the ground," not knowing she's sleeping in the room of one of said senior agents who burned the whole thing to the ground.

She motions to the open space in the room and says, "Well now you have to show me how to do your fancy little song and dance miss popstar Skye Starr. Why that name? why not just Daisy Johnson?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"There was a lot of burning indeed..." Daisy assures Kora with an affected nod. Her lips do press to a thin line. It's clear not all had been easy during that mission. "Always fear someone who calls themselves Sky Commander." she sagely nodding back at her sister.

The request to actually do the whole performance has her arching her brows, "I forget you disappeared in the 90s. That's why you like it." she laughs. "That song would be great in the 90s to be honest.." she then getting up to her feet, hands on her hips.

"Also, you never question an artist and her style choices about her name, mmmmk?" a shake of her head back at Kora. "It's not like I knew my name till like ..., four years ago or so." and so she chose Skye?!

"Now let's go." she gestures for Kora to get up. "If I am doing it then you will be learning it with me."

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora looks a touch confused at 'Sky Commander' but a small shrug of the shoulders says it's tucked away in the back of her head. "The end of the 90s thank you very much. But yes, the 21st century is a weird weird place filled with people taking responsibility for the planet."

She rises up off the bed to join her sister because heck this'll be fun. "You didn't know your name was Daisy? that... that's messed up." She frowns again and moves to Daisy's side. "This doesn't involve dabbing does it? I've heard dabbing is very uncool."

Still, there's a smile on her face because she's doing this with her youngerolder sister. "May be you could hire someone to remix it and make a career away from all this spy stuff. That'd make mom very happy."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
A laugh comes out of Daisy. "Mother would curse me if she ever knew I became some pop star singer." she shaking her head as if the notion of it was ridiculous. "But no, not my thing. I mean, not after that time at the framework. I don't like the memories. But the dance was fun.."

"Now, hands on hips." She says, "And then when we start we go like this...." she takes a step forward, arms bent on the elbows as she shakes hips and shoulders, humming to the song.

"And then she walks over to the radio to get the music going again so as to proper teach Kora!

Fear the Johnson duet dancing sisters!

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora laughs too at the idea of mother's face learning Daisy had chosen a career as a popstar. "But you wouldn't even need your own subwoofers you could just wubwub the audience and they'd love it," she continues to tease.

As the moves are laid on her she starts to copy. She has the moves, she has the body for it too and when the music starts she bops and dances with Daisy to the song. Silly hand gestures and hip thrusts and all.

It's a good thing there are no cameras in the personal quarters because whoever that red headed tech is would pay good money for a video of the Johnson sisters dancing to Uh Oh. Too bad he'll never know.

"When you were just a baby I had all kinds of ideas of things we'd get to do together. I was going to take you dancing. Take you to a movie. Teach you how to make pancakes," she says wistfully about the life that was denied them both. But now as the song ends she looks at Daisy with happy eyes.

"So..," butter your sister up first, "what happened to dad?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Teasing goes both ways!

"And you would do the light effects?" But Daisy is smiling when she says that during the dancin' to the song. "I am gonna say, this is a full workout trying to repeat these maneuvers.." eventually it ends and Daisy just sprawls out on the bed. "There. Now you are part of the band.."

But then Kora has to go and do the 'What happened to dad' question. One that Daisy has been trying to avoid for a time now. She looks up to the ceiling, then back.

"He is alive." Hey, that's good news! "But he's not the same man you remembered." she pauses to sit back up on the bed, "His rage for losing us blinded him. He did .." she considers it before finally saying, ".. things none of us should be proud of."

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora takes a section of the bed for herself, sitting on the edge. She goes quiet so that her attention is clearly on Daisy when it comes to talking about dad. Her experience with dad is wildly different to Daisy's, she knows that, but exactly what happened? Not even mom wanted to talk about it.

"What do you mean about his rage?," she says with nervousness growing. "What did he do?" she starts to get more worried. But at least he's alive. So they can go talk with him and he'll feel wonderful seeing her again, right? "When do we go.. there's a lot I want to tell him. It's unfair he still mourn me."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"That's not important." What Dad did. Maybe Daisy just wants Kora to keep her own memories of father without them being too tainted. She smiles in a sad manner when Kora speaks of visiting. "Yes, we will visit him.." hands brush through her hair. "But he won't remember us." she reveals.

"His rage got to a point that he was not functional anymore. So he had to .., be made to forget. He lives a good life now though. He has a nice clinic in New York, being a veterinarian." she explains, gesturing with one hand.

"But he doesn't remember any of us. Or Mother. Or ..." she shakes her head.

Kora Johnson has posed:
There's a look of revelation, sad sad revelation, as Daisy explains the situation of Dad. A tear rolls down her cheek and she lays down next to Daisy and drapes an arm over her sister in a hug. A memory keeps flashing back in to her mind of dad holding Daisy as a baby and looking so dang happy.

"Damn," she whispers. "That's.." she wipes at the tear rolling down her cheek. "I.." she's really lost for words. It's not like getting angry wasn't something both sides of their parents had gifted the daughters, but she never knew dad could spiral away so badly.

"So we just... we just leave it like that? we don't tell him the truth at all?" she asks betraying a trust that has grown inside her for Daisy, that she'd ask instead of just going off and doing by herself.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The hug is returned, Daisy curling her own arm around Kora. She lets out a sigh. "Sorry I didn't tell you earlier. I didn't want you to ..." she shakes her head again and doesn't finish her sentence.

"It was that or being killed. Or worst..." A pause, " ..., going full mad in prison. There was no other choice. Telling him the truth, we won't.., if anything of the past returns he could just spiral down into madness again." and the way she says it seems like the thought process Kora is going through is something Daisy has pondered over and over in the past.

"This way he can be happy. Or at least find a measure of happiness. I sometimes go visit him, even if I see him more from afar.." beat, "Director Furry loves him though." she purses her lips together. "That's my cat."

Kora Johnson has posed:
Kora shuts her eyes and another tear falls down her cheek. Her father is effectively dead. The man she knew lost himself and then he was erased completely with no memory of her at all. Mom must be heart broken, just like Kora feels now. Poor Daisy never got to know him at all.

Slowly she nods her head. "I... I see," she stammers out. There's anger inside her and it has no where to go but she doesn't let it get the better of her. There is nothing she can do about this. Even if she did tell him the truth he might just break and that wouldn't be good.

After a little while and she finds Daisy's hand and gives it a squeeze, "Your Furry cat with Matt?" She goes to salvage something from this. "I would like to meet your Matt and Director Furry."
