- Sunny Harlow has posed:
Back to work, back in her uniform, Sunny was here to earn a wage until either her other things took off or they started paying heroines for their work!
Apron in place over her dress, the blonde viltrumite even had her hair back and tied with a bright white bow to keep it out of her face as she fed and caffinated those that came in at this hour!
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
Another late night, another visit to Joe's. Except tonight Ariah isn't cold, wounded, or insatiably hungry. In fact, she parks a white sedan outside and comes in through the front door. She's wearing some nice slacks, some comfortable but elegant shoes, and a white buttondown teeshirt under a black leather jacket. In fact, the 'girl prince' look is coming in hard tonight and the door opens to let in the cold air but briefly. The small witch steps in, and ensures it doesn't linger open behind her, then sighs as she shakes off the cold.
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
The last visit was certainly...an interesting night. Still, she moved to continue along, currently balancing some cleared plates on one hand and the other wielding the coffee pot as she moved.
"Have a seat I'll..." she begins in her bright customer service voice only to blink and her tone to drop a little sheepishly. "I mean...hi. H-have a seat?"
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
"Ah.. bonsoir.." Ariah says quietly, voice cold and quiet. She glances around, then focuses those lovely mismatched eyes upon Sunny. "I will, merci," she says, less as a transaction and more conversationally. Still, her last visit to the diner and her first meeting with Sunny was a very... memorable one. She moves towards a seat that isn't next to a window, if only to avoid the chill the glass would offer.
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
Hey, she hadn't come in bleeding or starving this time and begging for help...so that was a good sign.
Clearing the plates and taking a moment to reassure herself with a glance in the mirror she moves back out, menu in hand to offer. Because...well...it made her feel better.
"What can I get you?"
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
This time. Next time, who knows. But for now, Ariah gets comfortable and leans back in the seat, closing her eyes. She breathes in deep, taking in the scents and the sounds around her. As footsteps approach, though, those eyes open and she fixes her dual-colored gaze on Sunny. "...tea, please. Black. Cream and sugar. As for the rest...." she looks at the menu and reaches out to take it. "...I have not partaken of anything on the menu here yet. But it is pleasant to see you again. I do not believe we even exchanged names."
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
Tea! "One tea coming up!" Sunny offers, hastily bouncing away...only to sheepishly bounce back and offer the menu. "The waffles are pretty good, and we do have some pie that's really popular this hour."
Her name? She gives a little blink before nodding and flicking her finger to the nameplate pinned to her chest.
"I'm Sunny," she offers, not quite pondering then irony of her name to a vampire. Sunny Harlow, the sunshine on the graveyard shift!
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
Were she someone that is actually of the crass-minded variety, she would surely make a joke about pie at this moment. But she isn't, and she doesn't. Instead, Ariah nods slowly, lips pursed. "...I will try your waffles, then. And an omelette, please," she says quietly. Then she rests a hand against her chest, "I am Ariah." The solo voice. The lion. "Merci."
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
Tea was faster to arrive, an electric kettle saw to that and Sunny sat it down before she set off to prepare the meal. Nerves or no, Ariah would be subjected to some soft singing to go along with the scents of cooking before eventually her food was delivered...and the waitress had to lean in to ask the obvious burning question.
"You can eat food?"
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah waits quietly, rather enjoying the silence--and the warmth--of the diner. She holds the poured cup of tea in her hands, warming her palms. She has difficulty with the chill, try as she might, so every little bit helps. When food and friend arrive, though, she blinks up at Sunny, head tilting slowly. "...the short answer is, oui, I can. The long answer is far, far more complicated... or perhaps it is not. But I will not bored you with the details. Merci," she says quietly, taking a sip of the augmented tea.
Then she considers a moment, and looks back up at the blonde. "You have a nice voice, it is good for singing."
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
Having killed some of the silence one might wonder if she was going to make the vampiress mad? Still, she comes to bite her bottom lip as she tilts her head. "So uh..." the obvious question follows, wondering why she'd resorted to the vampiric hunger. At least she'd figured out she wasn't about to sport some fangs of her own!
The complement however? That has her blushing!
"Thank you...i like your jacket?"
Well done Sunny. Well done.
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
"Merci," Ariah says simply at the compliment to her jacket. She blinks owlishly at Sunny, observing her body language, seeing the look on her face. Her head tilts slowly to the other side, "...food does not nourish my body the same way it does yours. I can eat it with no ill effects and it can replenish my magic... but I require blood as much as you require water, if not more so."
Then she examines these popular waffles set before her, and sets to carefully applying butter and syrup.
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
"Huh."
Well, that did make sense, truely. Still, she was left sort of leaning there. No other patrons at this particular hour? That at least made it a little less akward, but still it would be a little strange if they were spotted. Not exactly leaving Ariah in peace to eat just yet.
"So like...you got kinda...blood dehydrated?"
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
"In a sense," Ariah answers. She doesn't seem to be agitated at being talked to, but she does start to eat. She makes sure to chew and swallow before opening her mouth again, too. Truly a refined woman, this tiny vampiress. "But with worse consequences..." she trails off for a moment, opting to dig into her omelette first.
"...should I reach a starved state, I will... for lack of a better way to describe it... go feral. As in, I must feed, no matter the cost, or I will die. Injuries... heal, if I am well fed. It is not unlike burning energy and requiring food and rest. But I would... greatly prefer to not hurt anyone when I am running on pure hunger instinct." She sighs quietly, "I was not far from that state when we met."
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
Is this what had happened at their last meeting? She wasn't game to ask. Instead she finally moved back, headed towards the counter to pour herself a cup of tea and nurse her mug while she manned the diner.
"Well...i'm glad I was able to help." she finally speaks in a small voice.
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
"I do apologize for the abrupt encounter," Ariah says, vioce as even as ever, but there's sincerity there. "I was upon the edge of ... worse. You are very special, and I appreciate what you were able to offer." She eats a little bit more, taking a few more bites before speaking again.
"I wished to properly speak to you. And thank you again. Merci, Sunny. And, with permission, I would like to have another such encounter. It is... difficult, at best, to find those whom I am able to... partake of dinner with on a regular basis. You are very pleasant, and very pretty."
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
She couldn't really complain, that would be selfish. The other girl was starving and...well, she herself was strong enough to heal from the 'injury' of rapid blood donation. Of course that also made it pretty clear she wasn't human.
She was blushing, beat red...but she did at least hide some of it behind her mug and her standing position. "I mean, I wouldn't want you to...starve."
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
One could excuse Ariah for being blunt, because at times that is exactly what she is. She may have the rest of eternity should she not run afoul of other predators, but she does appreciate not mincing words. "I am saying as well that I like you, Sunny," she states pure and simple.
"And that I apologize for a poor first encounter. I will endeavor to do better next time, as I do prefer to ask for permission.." she sighs, shaking her head slowly. "Merci, for not holding it agains tme. It is appreciated."
She nods and then resumes eating the mundane food, which is quite delicious.
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
A blink, a blish, another sip of her drink. Truth be told she wasn't sure that she wasn't talking about how she tasted to the vampiress who she'd met in random chance...
"Oh...thank you...very much..."
She continues with a little sip of her drink. "I mean...you seem nice for something that was ment to be a scary monster."
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah blinks, glancing back over at Sunny. "I am still a scary monster," she states, deadpan and serious. All adorable four foot ten of her. "...but only to those who deserve to see that side of me. I am not a hero, I have no illusions to doing so. But I endeavor to do good."
She works her way through her food slowly, methodically. A bite or two here, a bite or two there, a sip of tea. "I would like to experience that night again with you, but when I am more aware of myself. And. Not on the edge of true death. Make a... date of it, non?" she offers.
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
"So uh...like a dining reservation here when I'm working?" Sunny questions softly, taking a large sip of her tea and practically draining it. "Or umm...something different?"
- Ariah Olivie has posed:
"A date, ma chere. Not here. Something different. A night out, together," she says quite simply. Again with the not mincing words. She finishes her meal though and stands up, fishing some money out of her jacket pocket and leaving it on the table. There's enough to pay for the meal twice. Perhaps a generous tip for the waitress.
"Think it over. We can eat someplace else, your abode or mine even," she says quietly, fixing those eyes on Sunny. "If that is palatable to you?"
- Sunny Harlow has posed:
A date?! "A..date? A date date?" she questions, blushing was reaching dangerous levels now.
"But y-you just learned my name tonight and..."
Oh dear. She could practically hear her brain burning...oh no. That was the stove top.
Oh crap!
Don't fly! Don't superspeed! The run that she does in her best attempt at being human was...almost cute.
From within the kitchen there was a sound of a blanket being slapped against the pan before a fire extinguisher might be heard.
But at least Ariah would find a notepad page with her number torn out and left on the table.
