Spiral Stalks Her Prey
Date of Scene: 11 June 2023
Location: Manhattan - New York
Synopsis: Spiral stalks someone from afar and is accosted by Hellcat and Tigra.
Cast of Characters: Spiral, Patsy Walker, Greer Grant

Spiral has posed:
It's been a long boring week, but the most versatile member of the Suicide Squad has gone off on her own for a bit of a solo adventure. The pupilless witch had her attention latched onto a pretty woman. The girl is kind of bland that takes all the effort in the world to maintain and that's what draws the six armed witch to become infatuated with the poor unsuspecting woman.

It's been nearly 4 days and yet the white haired woman has doffed her samurai armor, and her plethora of weapons remain secure in pocket dimensions just next door. Yet the six armed woman dressed up as a ninja in form fitting clothes with holes torn into the sleeves for her extra pale arms to hang free makes her roof top stealth/stalking mission a bit noticeable by the real super heroes.

Patsy Walker has posed:
"...and then I said to him, 'Who came up with the idea to put their underwear /over/ the rest of their suit, anyway?'"

Atop one of the many roofs, Hellcat and Tigra are chatting. Whoever the yellow-suited one is talking about could be anyone, really. Superman, maybe. Maybe not. Her red hair is distinct against the rest of her outfit, spilling out from the back of her cowl.

Then, movement from a couple buildings over. "Hey, does that lady have six arms? I think she has six arms. Why does someone have six arms?"

Greer Grant has posed:
"I'm the last person to talk about wearing underwear on the outside," Tigra says dryly, reaching up to pluck a bikini strap lightly as her tail gives a flick of amusement. "Think it goes back to circus days, but then again, we all have to be a little crazy to be in this business." She crouches down and looks in that direction Hellcat indicates, taking a moment to be sure of what she's seeing. "Huh. Good question. Could be useful though. One might even say...handy." Oh if only she had sunglasses to put on while she delivered that line.

Spiral has posed:
A boot is planted just on the lip of the roof as Spiral looks over the edge, keeping her eyes on the woman she's been following, eyes locked into the beige jacket that she knows is the nameless face she's fallen desperately for.

Her six arms fight for space amongst themselves at her sides, twitching often as they brush up against themselves but she doesn't seem to acknowledge them as she bends at the waist. Two of her left hands catch the lip and she goes to lay on her belly, and kicks her legs up behind her, like a girl on her bed taking a long after school call with Stacy to talk the latest gossip.

Spiral's black painted lips are moving, she's talking to someone, the girl maybe? Having a one sided conversation and a right hand bends to rest her chin on the palm. She's totally having an after school conversation on the phone with 'Stacy'... Fully unaware of the cat themed convention watching her creep on this poor girl.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Hellcat remarks, "But you're wearing it over the fur. That's you. Maybe that's your 'costume,' but it's not a suit like this." She plucks at her outfit with a couple claws. "Now let's see what's going on, and I'm not going to respond to that joke I should have made first."

From their perspective they can see Spiral coming to a stop, leading to Hellcat glancing back at Tigra. "What do you think she's doing? Scoping out a place? Nobody hangs out up here unless they're patrolling or up to no good. Usually."

Must get closer. A couple buildings are crossed, silently enough.

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra can't help but look smug at the response her pun gets. A simple pleasure. The smug look fades into a focused expression as she studies Spiral, or tries to at least. She's got good eyesight, but it's birds that do the distant vision thing, not cats so much. "Well, I don't think she's patrolling. Something strange, at least, worth taking a look at." She does like Hellcat, moving to get closer to the building the multi-armed one is on, moving a bit faster to move further out and come in from another, flanking angle.

Spiral has posed:
     Ignorance is bliss.

Spiral is blissfully ignorant of the kittens approaching her, surrounding her, stalking her far and away more skillfully than she stalks her paramour. Another hand is added to her chin, keeping her back slightly bent and her chest mostly off the gravelly rooftop. Her knees are still bent abd swaying above her as she chats away, speaking empty nonsense about her day to her unawares girl friend.

Then Spiral rolls onto her back and a middle hand pulls a phone out, and she angles it just so to capture her delighted face, with the figure below in the brown bland top in frame as well. "Oh we look so cute together!" She chides hopelessly.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Hellcat slides a glance across to Tigra, having naturally peeled off along the other side. Pincer strike! Or at least, pincer wait-and-see! What exactly is going on here?

Keeping cover behind a convenient HVAC unit - those things are everywhere - she peers around the side of it to keep tabs on things. It'll dictate what to next, which in this case is to let curiosity take over.

Stepping out more into view, she rests a dark, clawed hand against a hip, the sash swaying. "Soooo, nice night. What's going on here? Making plans? Talking to yourself? Who's so cute together?"

Greer Grant has posed:
To be fair to Spiral, talking a crush, however insane one might be, is different from a feline stalking possible prey. Tigra's able to make out more of Spiral's inane chatter as she gets closer, and tosses a concerned look over Hellcat's way. While Hellcat's tucked behind an HVAC, Tigra's flattened herself on an adjacent rooftop, watching over the ledge until Hellcat steps into view. Well, probably would be learning more by getting actively involved, anyway, she thinks to herself, grips the edge of the rooftop and backflips down onto Spiral's roof to land gently in a crouch, tail out behind her as counter-balance.

Spiral has posed:
Still on her back when the heroine shows up, and starts speaking, Spiral gasps audibly, and fumbles her phone from her hand. The six arms all instandly move to catch it and they all end up colliding with each other with the weirdest clapping sound ever, and with the phone hitting her face and rolling off to clatter on the dirty rooftop. Rubbing her face with two right hands, and the third fumbling around for her phone, Spiral begins to explain.

"Just... talking to that cutie behind me about how great it is that she doesn't have to work tonight and we can spend the evening together on our second date. It's nice right?"

A left hand points down to the sidewalk and no one down there even glances up in this direction. Bending with the help of her many arms, Spiral sits up and now actively looks to Hellcat, and then to Tigra as she drops down onto the roof. "Whoa, hold on. I recognize you two." Spiral says, her phone coming forwards to point at Tigra and then to Hellcat, snapping pictures with the shutter sound still active on her phone. "There's so many of you gorgeous cat ladies in this world... Can I get your snapchats?"

Patsy Walker has posed:
Hellcat's eyes narrow behind the whites of the cowl, which features golden yellow 'brows' that somehow seem to reflect her mood. Noting Tigra's positioning, both are ready to spring into action if necessary. But will it be?

A finger goes up after Spiral's surprise leads to a moment of comedy. "..hold on." She approaches the edge, leaning over just enough to see that, in fact, there is not an ongoing conversation. Squinting back Spiral's way, she states, "Looks more like you're talking to yourself, but..hey, hey, hey. We /ask/ before taking pictures."

All the same, she moves a few steps toward the middle, closer to Tigra. "It /is/ kind of a thing with people like us, isn't it?" Looking good, that is. "People still use Snapchat?"

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra's tail flicks lightly as she takes notes of the apparent awkwardness of Spiral's arms. She straightens up slowly as the woman fumbles with her phone and then begins to take pictures of them. She looks dubious at Spiral's explanation of what's going on, watches Hellcat move over to investigate and smirks ever so slightly. It turns into more of a crooked grin at talk of 'thing with people like us.' "I've heard it called a super power," she murmurs, idly folding her single set of arms. "And don't know, honestly. I keep away from social media as much as I can. Think it makes people too damned testy."

Spiral has posed:
"Nonsense, people love seeing pretty women on social media!" Spiral explains, as she remains seated, looking up at the Cat Women, four of her arms are behind her at different angles, keeping her upper half upright with ease. Her two remaining arms swing forward bringing the phone up to again take more pictures, but she pauses. "Can I take your pictures?"

Then she is lifting her legs, and twisting her upper body, the arms her points of contact on the groun as she adjusts to sitting on her knees, stable as can be, she turns her back to the feline femmes. "Heya everyone, check out these two crazy hot besties!" She says before holding her phone out and is recording a video with her in the foreground and Hellcat and Tigra in the back. Putting on an Australian accent, "I think we're gonna try'n get clossa." Is she live streaming this suddenly?

Patsy Walker has posed:
Hellcat's focus shifts between Spiral and Tigra. Her attitude takes on a more no-nonsense shift. "No, you..hey." Snapping her fingers, she goes as far as making a 'pss-pss-pss' sound, as if Spiral herself was of a feline persuasion. "You ask, we say yes or no. That's how it works. Don't be rude. Turn that off."

She's got a wary way about her, for someone with six arms is not normal to begin with. Neither is someone done up like some sort of ninja, stalking by way of rooftop. "Seriously, what's going on here?"

Greer Grant has posed:
"Well, no argument there," Tigra has to agree when it comes to pretty women on social media. The arms seem more coordinated now, she notes as Spiral sits and then stands up with the phone. The phone doesn't get put away, and if anything, the woman starts recording them rather than just taking pictures. "Alright, that's enough of that, put the phone away," she says, unfolding her arms and putting hands on hips, earlier grin turned to a frown. "Who are you, anyway?"

Spiral has posed:
"Alright alright." Spiral says, lowering her phone and looking at it until the very end, with a small wave to the people who were watching the live stream. "Bye fans!" Click. It's off. She then holds up all six hands like she's being arrested.

"I'm Spiral." She says as if that's explination enough, and then lowers only one hand to point down to the street, "That's ... umm... Rebecca! My girlfriend. We've only known each other a short time, but we're great friends. We talk all the time. Me about the work I do being a social media magnate. Her about where she's going, what she's doing, who's that guy she keeps talking to on the phone." She says with a snear of jealousy on the last line. Blank eyes darting back to Tigra and Hellcat. "Here. You should follow me on Tik Tok and insta. I'm always posting cool shit." Spiral says, pulling out a second phone from, somewhere? And handing it over towards Tigra. Still she has four arms up, one pointed down towards 'Rebecca' and another extended out towards the two heroines.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Only after the first phone is put away does Hellcat show even a mild sign of relaxing. "And does this, umm, 'Rebecca' know any of this? Because, and you can take my word for it, probably hers too," she jerks a thumb toward Tigra, "this is all sounding just a smidge stalkery right now."

Gloved hand goes up at the /second/ phone coming out, the urging to follow other accounts, and she flashes Tigra a weary look. "I'm thinking you're right about too much social media rotting the brain." She has no clue what background Spiral herself hails from.

Greer Grant has posed:
"Mmmhmmm," Tigra agrees with Hellcat. "Seems an awful like the conversations are pretty one-sided." That bit of jealousy is especially noticed, her tail twitching with unease at it. "And what's your handle?" she asks, taking the phone somewhat dubiously, but then taking a look at it. "Might see what you're posting." If nothing else to make sure Spiral's not still stalking this 'Rebecca' person, or worse. "Think maybe it's more than just social media," she says softly to Hellcat.

Spiral has posed:
"You can follow me at Spiralof6. No spaces, no nasty underscores either." She says with a winning smile towards Tigra after she takes the phone. "Keep it. I've got plenty." Then a look back over her busy shoulder, and Spiral frowns, and sighs, a lot of the air and life seeming to escape from her at that sigh.

"We've never actually talked, I've only gotten so brave enough to stand next to her on a subway, wearing a thick trench coat, because ... well..." Spiral waves her arms in an exotic looking dance, a well versed belly dancer would be jealous of, and then lowers them all down at her side with a meaty thwack against her thigh as all six hands come down in unison. "It's hard... I would say 'y'know' but I don't think either of you do. You're both -pardon my french- bellissima!"

Patsy Walker has posed:
Hellcat probably won't be doing the whole 'follow' thing, but she makes a mental note. She absolutely will be peeking in to see if there's anything worth checking up on later. "Why?" she asks simply to the mention of having multiple phones. "Most people only need one. But most people don't have six hands. Need to keep them busy someh..know what, forget that last part." She grimaces at herself.

Of course, her suspicions about 'Rebecca' turn out to be more or less what she expected. This could be dangerous, but there's no evidence of anything actually being done from it yet. Careful ground to tread upon. "Seems she's got it bad for that girl, huh?" she says to Tigra, having moved over to stand beside her by the time Spiral starts up her dance and smacks her side in the end. "I mean, we /are/ pretty spectacular, yes," the redhead confesses.

Greer Grant has posed:
"Spiralof6, no underscores, got it," Tigra says, looking down at the phone again. Yeah, this is something she's going to have a techie look at before actually doing anything with, just in case. And Spiral confirms the one-sidedness of the 'friendship' with 'Rebecca.' Her tail flicks at the way Spiral moves in that dance, impressed despite herself. An eyebrow goes up silently and yet eloquently when Hellcat mentions keeping hands busy. "Spectacular, but it's not all roses," she notes. "I understand standing out in a crowd." It's hard not to be sympathetic to Spiral's apparent plight, but it's also hard not to be suspicious. "I'll tell you this, though, this 'Rebecca' would be a whole lot more upset at knowing you're stalking her than seeing however many arms you have."

Spiral has posed:
"I said I was a social media magnate, I have devices to keep me connected. One isn't enough to keep up the demand." She says as if that was the most normal thing she could say. Or at least it made sense to her. Now, she pauses and looks back down at Rebecca, white eyes lingering sadly but emotionless, though she does ring of sorrow, "I think you're right." The ninja dressed witch takes another deep breath.

Suddenly standing up straighter, Spiral turns back to Tigra and Hellcat, "Forget Rebecca, she's a sad girl who wears worse clothes. What about you two, could I maybe hang around you two for today? Y'all seem lovely, nice and certainly easy on the eyes." Spiral holds out two hands to each of the ladies, her last two staying at her side, one lifting up to rest on her hip casually.

Patsy Walker has posed:
"What she said," Hellcat finger-points Tigra's way about the stalking thing. "And it seems she's got someone already, so you should probably turn your attention somewhere else."

Lo and behold, the two cats - one more than the other - may be the new focus of attention.

At the question of chilling with them instead, she slides a glance over at Tigra as if seeking her opinion. The tailed one did accept the phone, after all. As for her, hands both settle at her hips. "We were working a patrol together," she notes.

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra's not sure if she got through to Spiral or if the strange woman is just playing along. She's starting wonder if even Spiral would know. "Well that was a quick rebound," she says dryly to Hellcat as Spiral turns to focus on the two of them. She looks back to Spiral and adds, "Keeping an eye out for people in trouble. Or sometimes preventing trouble before it develops," she says pointedly.

Spiral has posed:
"That's cool. That's cool. That's super cool. I'm part of a team, and we're trying to do good too, we're called, 'The Suicide Squad'. Got a nice ring to it no?" Spiral says with a new enthusiasm, and a jump on the balls of her feet, her arms all fist pumping slightly, "I love going on patrol, but if you don't want a third wheel, I understand." She says, looking sad, and wrapping four arms across her belly, looking like she's protecting herself.

"I can help with trouble. I can even teleport myself and others, I'm pretty stinking cool and useful if I say so myself." She says, doing the Rosie the Riveter pose, but with all three right arms flexing, and all three left arms pointing at a different bicep.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Hellcat's expression, what can be seen of it, falters somewhat after she nods to Tigra's definitive response and Spiral's answer. Deadpan, she asks, "'Suicide Squad?' Do you guys have a lot of turnover?" The physical reactions, namely the multi-armed self-hug and the Rosie pose, have her rubbing the back of her head where the hair pokes out and down.

"Look, uh, we were kind of one-upping each other with cat jokes. You know? Stuff like that. We've still got a few more areas to cover, but we need to stay focused. I'm sure the teleportation is great, though." Makes her think of her shadow cloak, which doesn't get a whole lot of use. "But if you want to, I'm sure we can talk again soon."

After, no doubt, digging into whatever resources she has to see what this 'Suicide Squad' thing is.

Greer Grant has posed:
Tigra snorts a laugh at Hellcat's response to the name of the superteam, though immediately regrets it. Still, it was a great line. "We can talk again," she says with a nod of agreement with Hellcat. "Let's talk again when we have a little more time, and you're not making us think you're the sort of person we should be patrolling to look out for." No surprise that the bikini wearing cat lady got less subtle than earlier. "Let's talk, though. Learn about that teleportation and everything." Oh she hopes she doesn't regret that.

Spiral has posed:
"There's more than just teleporting, but yeah. I would love to talk again." She says, bold enough to reach out with a pair of right arms and touch Tigra's arm at the bicep and petting her fur. "Sorry. I just had to know." And with that, Spiral winks an eye towards Hellcat, and Tigra before she turn to face the edge of the building, but as she's turning the woman seems to slip out, or fold into reality and like that, the six armed fatale is gone. Leaving Tigra and Hellcat on their own once more.

Patsy Walker has posed:
As far as letdowns go, it was as gentle as Hellcat could make it. Tigra, a bit less so. Point made, regardless.

She notes the forward approach with Spiral seeking a moment of contact, watching more for Tigra's response than anything else. "Yeah. Be safe."

The demonstration of that teleporting departure leaves her to advance toward it a couple steps before she turns back Tigra's way. "So, that happened. What are you thinking?" Her stomach picks a fine time to growl.

Greer Grant has posed:
The fur ripples briefly where she's betted, and Tigra's tail gives a flick of annoyance. Spiral will be able to tell that, yes, it's real, fairly soft, too. "I don't know that 'safe' is something that can ever be said of that person," she says dryly. Doesn't take her ears to hear Hellcat's stomach growling. "I'm thinking there's a good pizza place two blocks that way. Let's go," she says, leading the way.
