An evening of questions.
Date of Scene: 26 June 2023
Location: Warren's Penthouse
Synopsis: Short, sweet.
Cast of Characters: Warren Worthington, Kitty Pryde

Warren Worthington has posed:
When Warren texted it didn't make much sense. You'd think a trip to the moon would take months of preparation, would require some measure of training on instrumentation, procedures. No, this was the most tourist endeavor of all time. Blue Origin Excelsior, a private label, exclusive two way trip to the moon. No space suits, not air conditioned backpacks or lurching about in low gravity. Pure unadulterated comfort, champaign, and an amazing view. Sure it would take a little while to get there, but that just meant time to talk.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren explained, "The thing that really blew the top of my head off, Kit, and the reason we aren't wearing anything bulky?" he said, shifting his wings unconsciously as if to prove the point, "Is we aren't landing on the moon. We're docking." he let that sink in.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde hrms softly. "But are we just going to be gathering readings? Because if we actually want to go anywhere, we're going to need a ship and if we have to get out on the surface to deal with things we've found, going to need space suits. Or, force fields, or... you know the drill. Maybe we can get some Shi'ar tech if that's needed? Or, are we just getting closer to take readings?" Kitty asks him.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren firmed himself, not in the way he did when angry or serious, because he wasn't it was because he knew he was about to say something ridiculous. "Kitty, theres a base. My family has a base. On the moon. Its taking everything in my just in the hoping that its not filled with dusty Swazstikas...doesn't a moon base seem like something camp only Nazi's would do?" he paused, sighed "Kitty, you have any idea how much they wasted on this thing? In 1960s money no less. Its been sitting there, hidden, unoccupied for decades. They didn't just build it, they kept it to themselves. All this time. And everything still works! We ran all the status checks with this ancient protocol they invented in Israel in like 1962. No faults."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde gapes at the news. "Well, I mean, yeah, there's a movie at least," she says, though her attention is off in her thoughts as Kitty is thinking through implications and meanings.

"And that's what the ring was picking up, was something from it?" she asks. She sits down in a chair a little hard, as if thoughts are too much on the topic to focus on lowering herself gently into it. "So, this other company with a rocket is agreeing to take us there?" she asks. "We should probably try to work out some emergency exit if needed. Like... Blink or Illyana. If either of them can even reach that far."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington nodded, showing a serious cant to his eyebrows that shown him handsomely in his current attire; he looked like the cover of a magazine. He smelled like sandlewood and smoke. His hair was disheveled but somehow looked perfect, like the kind of bedhead that takes make-up and wardrobe six hours to get just right. "Not a bad idea, actually. Your right, I am putting a bit too much trust in Bezo's pet rocket company. Still, I did take a tour, its really nice. Does the idea frighten you?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
"Oh, no, not at all. I mean, not going into space. That's kind of... you know, it's still exciting. But you kind of used to the other races we've been up with that it is... what's the word. Safer? More common place, more like hopping on an airplane is for us," Kitty says.

She rises and goes over to pour herself a drink, and one for Warren too. "I'd like to see it. So you haven't been there yet then? Any way to check if anyone is there?" she asks. "I suppose worst case, there would be some of the Justice League up there if we ran into an issue."

She brings the drinks back, reaching down from behind Warren to hand him his. Then taking a sip and setting hers down, then slides her arms around Warren's shoulders from behind him. Resting her head against his. "When can they take us up?" she asks.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington received her, folding her into him like she was a missing piece of his body. He seemed to consider all her questions and then remarked mildly "They say that sex in low gravity is impossible. No leverage. You know what I say?" he took the drink and slid his arm into place around and under hers, "Leave those conclusions to people who know what they are doing. They teach astronauts to use slide rulers and hold in their poo."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde lets out a soft laugh at that. "Haven't really spent zero G time," she admits. "Plus, ah, was a bit younger back in those days. Though Lilandra knew how to throw a party. You missed out," she says, nuzzling a soft kiss to Warren's cheek.

She moves around to the front of the couch as Warren pulls her down and folds her in his arms. "Well, I'd think it would totally be possible. More like just have to worry about bumping into stuff," she says with a laugh. "So, let's plan on going up. I can get a leave from work for it," she says. "Worked out with Pepper that I'd have some away times for missions and such when she poached me."
