Lazy Summer Days

Location:	Lake - Wayne Estate
Synopsis:	Dick as a couple weeks with no charity events, so of course a trip to Italy is the order of the day.

Dick Grayson has posed:
    The sun is bright in the sky today, a bonus of not actually being in Gotham City proper, which always seems to have a grayscale filter over everything in it. Dick is currently wearing a bathing suit, sunscreen and flip-flops as he sits on one of the lounge chairs on the dock. Hazelduck has settled in on the dock beside him in the shade cast by the chair, and he's distractedly petting her as he flips through screens on his phone.

    "There must be something wrong Steph, I don't have another charity event for two weeks. It's almost like a vacation." He turns the phone off and puts it down on the chair beside himself. "Should we take a trip somewhere, or just hide at home?"

Stephanie Brown paddles up on one of the kayaks. She's wearing a red string bikini, and the tanned skin put on display shows she's been finding some time to enjoy the summer sun while her classes ag Gotham U are on break.

She climbs out of the canoe, the fit young woman easily pulling it up onto the dock. "I'd be good with either," she tells Dick as she turns from the kayak. Her eyes sweep over the man's chiseled good looks and body. Sometimes seeing him like this with his shirt off can make her practically giddy. The big grin she gets suggests this is probably one of those times.

"Where would we go if we got away?" she asks, moving over behind Dick's chair, leaning down from behind him to slide her arms around his shoulder and hug him. Soft little kisses are pressed behind his ear as she shows her affection. Hazelduck gets a little less affection, but Stephanie reaches out to give her a few pets.

    Dick smiles and leans into the hug, lightly running one hand up and down her arm, "Well, having made it into summer I think we can cross out anywhere it's currently cold, but that does leave a whole lot of places open for consideration. If we want beaches, we've got the Caribbean and Mexico, Australia or any of the European countries on the Mediterranean. There's also usually a couple good music festivals in various countries in the summer."

    He shrugs and finishes up, "It's up to you, I'm as happy to be here with you as anywhere else with you but I know you never had the chance to travel. If there's someplace you want to visit, then we'll go." He pats her arm, then sits up so he can turn and look at her. "So what do you think, should he get out the suitcases or lounge around here?"

Stephanie Brown has posed:
Stephanie Brown snuggles against Dick from behind, nuzzling her lips and nose into his hair while her hands are free with roaming over his tanned body. "Mmm. Somewhere with those amazing blue water beaches you see in the movies and pictures sounds kind of nice," she admits. "Maybe the Mediterranean? Take a few days and lounge in some little beautiful seaside village," she suggests.

Stephanie relocates Hazelduck to the dock so she can walk around Dick's chair and then settle into his lap. "And, while we're there, there are those shipments that Falcone's men are getting which are frequently coming from Milan. We could stick our noses in and see if there's anyone punchable when we need a break from the sun and the water?" she teases.

Dick Grayson has posed:
    Slipping his arm around Steph as she sits down, he smiles and replies "Ah, so a working vacation. Smart thought, that will make Bruce brood about our absence in Gotham a little less." He reaches down and picks his phone up, taking a moment or two to lightly kiss her before tapping it and pulling up a world map, which is quickly zoomed into Italy's coastline.

    "Let's see... fairly close to Milan, nice beaches." He scrolls though a few screens. "Ah, here we go. Camogli. About an hour from Milan, not a big tourist location but frequented by Italian families. Best kind of place, always follow the locals, not the clueless tourists."

    A couple more taps and voice commands later one of Wayne Enterprise's jets is being made ready and reservations have been made at a hotel in Camogli. "There we go, all set. I set us up for a week there. Good thing we take a private flight, I'd hate to have the luggage with our work clothes go missing."

    He thinks a moment, then nods, "I'll have Essix keep Hazelduck company while we're gone, she'll probably enjoy the chance to practice duckiness."

Stephanie Brown has posed:
Stephanie Brown sits across Dick's lap, though her torso turned to face him. She slides her arms around his broad shoulders again. "Still not quite used to being able to just jet off to Italy like this," she says with a soft, shy smile. "But it's a nice perk," Stephanie adds, fingers moving to brush through Dick's hair.

The next few minutes are spent kissing him affectionately. But eventually they get back to the conversation. "It'll probably be good for her too, seeing what it is for a non-liquid life form," she comments about Essix. "How have things been going with training her?" Stephanie asks.

Dick Grayson has posed:
    "She's doing good, actually. Hard to hurt, great at infiltration since she can be almost anything and she's picking up combat fairly well." He slips his arm around Steph's waist and stands, carrying her with him. "Let's go pack, and I'll give Oracle a call to let her know we're headed for Italy, then I'll let Essix know she's on her own for a bit." He lowers her back to her own feet, then takes her hand and heads into the house.

Stephanie Brown stays clinging close against Dick as he rises. She's in an affectionate mood, it's clear, but the excitement of getting ready for the trip will soon have her going through the closet trying to figure out what to take. Stowing away batagrangs, smoke bombs, flash pellets and all the normal things a girl needs on a trip.

"This is going to be epic," she says with a grin, leaning over to smooch Dick's cheek as they head inside.
