Date of Scene: 30 September 2023
Location: Grand Library - Themysciran Arts Center
Synopsis: Widow and All-Mother meet at the Library.
Cast of Characters: Natasha Romanoff, Frigga

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
It's not quite October, but close enough to it that the spirit of Halloween is coming upon the city in readiness. Something that for whatever twisted nature of the Red Room witch was appreciated. Because one could go out with their mask on and not be called upon it. That rare period of denial and shadows where it was welcomed. Where one could not be themself and not be cast out for it.
Here, in the library at the Themysciran Embassy, she was sitting and researching. A few books spread out around her. To the side a large parchment that she would occasionally scribble notes on.

Frigga has posed:
There's something about libraries that draw Frigga forth. It's not only the knowledge that is collected, but how it's collected, how the information is formed; all that can lead to new discoveries, new pathways to take in the pursuit of knowledge.

As a result, the door is opened for the All-Mother, and she is ushered in with maid in tow. Quiet words are spoken between guide and guest, and as the door closes again, Frigga looks out at the stacks, and exhales in a softly happy tone. It's something she shares with at least one of her sons- the love of libraries.

"This looks.. delightful," is offered quietly, a hint of humor tinging her words.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Going to turn around Natasha takes a moment to evaluate Frigga. A persona that she has read up quite a bit on, if never met if only by proxy. There's a cautiuos glance and then a bow of her head, "All Mother." She goes to take up the books she had been reading, carefully going to close them and then press them over to the shelves from whence they came.

"I'm sure that the Themyscirans would appreciate such a grand compliment and it would mean much to them. Do ensure that you convey it to the Princess if you are ever in her presence." Natasha is but an explorer herself here doing her reading for whatever reasons.

Frigga has posed:
To say that she's surprised that she's actually recognized would be an understatement. Frigga certainly doesn't have the 'star power' that her sons hold, for one reason or another, but she manages to hide it well enough. Apparently the wonan addressing her knows one of her children? Must be.

It's a gracious and warm smile that is returned, however; elegant and regal, yet very maternal. "I'm afraid you have the better of me," she begins, and immediately apologizes, "I didn't interrupt your studies, did I?"

The compliment paid the collection gains a slight nod, and Frigga looks out at the books, all in their order. "I think I should like to meet her, regardless."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanova would shake her head, "No, nothing of import. The chance to meet the All-Mother is certainly far more pressing than what I was pursuing and is of far higher value." Natasha sees things as zero sum. Thus they must be prioritized. She stands far more to gain from time spent talking with the All-Mother than she would studying the books available to the p ublic in the Themysciran Embassy. Anything of true preciousness would be kept on the island or away from the wandering tourists.
"I'm sure that the Princess would love to encounter you, though I do not speak for her nor to her often." She would glance over at Frigga thoughtfully.
"Your sons have all taken aspects from you."

Frigga has posed:
"The search for knowledge, for learning something that before has been hidden from your eyes certainly takes precidence," Frigga offers in return. "But," she concedes, "you are quite kind for saying such."

Her head cants slightly, and there is no mistaking the pleasure in those crystal clear blue eyes. "My sons would be horrified to hear such a thing." She's joking, mind; she is very much aware of all of her sons positive and negative traits. "Particularly Thor."

Now, Frigga begins an approach, her maid following at a respectful distance, waiting for that silent request for anything her Queen might require from her. "Hmmm," she says softly, "Perhaps we should do something about setting up a meeting, assuming the Princess hasn't something more pressing before her." A hand is waved in dismissal, "Not today, however. Today is a day for the library."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanova would muse over, "I'm sure that it would occur by happenstance. At some time, the Princess would seek you out and make her approach. I do however not know. Such things are beyond the whimsies of us mere mortals." Or perhaps even above the immortlas, in such a way. She would look amused.
"I'm sure regardless that the drinking would be legendary if it became competitive. There would be a considerable number of wagers on the matter. And one son has taken your guile, another your wisdom, and the third your stubbornness." One to Loki, one to Balder, las tto Thor.
"And what they don't know can be used to one's manipulations later on, All-Mother. I'm sure that you'll find a way if you ever need to to needle them with it." Because what were mothers for, if not to get away with those teasings that any others could not?
