Where's the Best Place to Get Gothic Lolita
Date of Scene: 13 December 2023
Location: Gothic Lolita's Room - The Trisk
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Gothic Lolita, Singularity

Gothic Lolita has posed:
It's likely no surprise that Singularity pops into GL's quarters in the Triskelion. What is possibly a surprise is that the room is dark, cool and quiet. The only light comes in from the gaps in the blinds, casting weird shadows on the floor.

The mecha herself is seated on her little sofa. Dressed like a normal person in jeans, cute sneakers and a woman's cut SHIELD t-shirt, there are really only two oddities. First, the cord tracing from the wall into where her navel would be. Two that she's completely dormant. Eyes closed and unmoving. She's not even fake breathing.

Even the little universe's arrival doesn't make her stir.

Singularity has posed:
*BLIP* Singularity is there. But Gothic... oh! There she is! Swirling over to where the mecha is, she ohhs softly, studying the cable, feeling the energy that comes from it. There's curiosity there.

As she takes in the decor of the room, the various posters and such, Singularity drifts closer. She reaches out, a brush of a cool hand over the mecha's cheek. She looks peaceful. Calm. Of course, she doesn't get the whole not breathing part. She doesn't need to breathe either, after all. But, what she can do? As she pulls back her hand, she starts to radiate a little energy on the same wavelength that Gothic is taking in at the moment. Maybe the mecha can wirelessly take it in?

Gothic Lolita has posed:
It'd probably be eerie for nearly anyone else. The silence save for the low, barely audible hum of electricity. Luckily, this isn't a trial or a tragedy. When Singularity gets close, the mecha stirs, eyes blinking open. At first, they're the odd orange and black, but another blink and they're just her eyes again.

"Oh. Hello," she says pleasantly, a smile tugging at her lips as she tugs the charging cord free from herself. "Just needed a little charge. That's the closest to sleep I get, I think."

Singularity has posed:
The silence is nothing new for Singularity. When she's in the space between, it is dead silent. She can hear the sound of the cosmos within her when she's there. That's eerie. And scary, at least to the little universe.

But then Gothic is waking up and coming back on line, and a brilliant smile greets the compact mecha. "Hello!" she greets with warmth and pep.

"You feel better now?" she asks curiously, looking at the cable attached to her navel and then down at her own. "Do you dream?"

Gothic Lolita has posed:
GL adjusts her shirt, covering her midriff where the cord was plugged in. She tosses the cord to the floor negligently, regarding her glowy blue friend. "Not really. I'm in a power saving mode, so all of my...higher functions are off. All that's really active are proximity sensors and when I hit full charge, I'll come back online unless something triggers me beforehand. Then again, that's charging, I've never really tried to sleep like humans do, so I don't really know what would happen."

She issues her room a mental command and the lights start to come up slowly. "So what brings you by to visit? I mean, besides my stellar company."

Singularity has posed:
"I think I have memories. When I sleep. Was told I dream." Singularity responds as she explains her own thoughts on the matter. "Maybe should try sometime?" comes the suggestion.

Then she's reminded of why she was visiting. "Wanted to see you." she explains, her hands folding behind her back as she floats off the ground, her hair defying gravity. "I promised to replace dress. One destroyed when you rescued me. From AIM. Wanted to take you to where to find new dress?" she asks curiously.

"Also. Spoke with Vivian. She is with GIRL. Like me. She would like to meet you sometime. Wanted to extend invitation!"

Gothic Lolita has posed:
"You did, but I said you didn't have to. I ruin dresses all the time. And it's not like I have anything else to spend my paycheck on," she says with a shrug. Her dark eyes twinkle just a little. "I won't say -no-, though."

She pauses and shrugs. "She's ... kinda like me, isn't she? Might be interesting to meet another mecha that I'm not related to. ... Or trying to break."

Singularity has posed:
"I would like to. I know what you said. But you are friend." Singularity points out with a thoughtful pause and a tilt of her head as she smiles at Gothic. "I have made a few friends. Since being here. Would like it if you were one." Her hand is offered to Gothic. They don't have to travel. She will leave it up to the Mecha.

She's just as happy to stay here and talk.

"She is similar. Yes. Not sure if mecha. Calls herself synthezoid?" comes Singularity's response, though Gothic can hear the confusion in the young universe's voice. "Will not try to break. She is friend as well. Would like to introduce you to her. Other friends as well. They are good people. Took me in. When I first arrived." she explained. She takes a seat on the edge of Gothic's bed, her hand still offered. "If you want to meet them. Eventually. Do not have to say yes."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
The dark haired mecha takes Singularity's hand, her dark eyes meeting the glowing ones of the universe. "If they're your friends, I'm sure they're great, and I won't have to do what I was made to do. Let's do it. I'll meet 'em," she says, nodding once.

She gives her friend's hand a squeeze. "If you're up for travel, let's go do a little retail therapy. ... Have you ever gone shopping before?"

Singularity has posed:
"Good. I know you will like them!" The bright white eyes of Singularity shine with delight as Gothic grasps her hand. "We will visit them next time. For now..."

"Retail therapy!" And Singularity pulls Gothic into her. And once within, there's a bright light as she opens the portal to bring them from the Trisk to Japan faster than a blink of an eye. And they arrive in the Harajuku District, the home of the Gothic Lolita fashion.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
"Sure, hanging around at home and being, well, normal people is nice. What's the point of superpowers if you don't abuse them a little to go shopping in exotic locales? "It'll be fun." She hopes.

She opens her mouth to say something else, and then she's yanked -inside- of Blue. "Wait. What the fu--!"
