Date of Scene: 07 February 2024
Location: Uxmal, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
Synopsis: The conclusion of the first chapter in the Living Monolith saga. The duo go their separate ways to handle the situation in their own way.
Cast of Characters: Alex Summers, Kenesha

Alex Summers has posed:
The next morning comes quite early as everyone is excited to get the door open. Breakfast was taken on the go and Alex is already at the door at sun-up. He appears to be inspecting the solidity of the frame as well as the stone all around. He has a geological hammer and is tinking on the stone all about. Others are also there, observing and ready to open it.

Kenesha has posed:
Kenesha is there bright and early, as eager to get through the door as anyone. She's dressed and ready to go, and everyone has been fed and hydrated... and there's safety equipment on standby for when they get to the actual opening. For now, she's standing back and letting Alex do his job, making sure that the doorway will hold and be stable once it's opened.

Nobody wants to get trapped in a tomb, after all.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex will back away and give all the warnings about what to expect when the door opens. That there will likely be a gas trapped within that will rapidly escape. That no one should be within 20 yards if they don't have safety gear. He fades out and steps back letting the crew in that will be responsible for opening the door. Alex will move out of the pit and give everyone plenty of space.

Kenesha has posed:
Kenesha will be the first to start putting on her protective gear, and a swift, sharp look to the team ensures they do the same. Then there's the wait for everyone else to clear the pit, all the cameras set up on the edges of the pit and looking down towards the doorway. Moving in with the team, Kenesha feels along the borders of the door, looking for any obvious locks or traps that might spring if they carelessly open it.

Finding nothing that should cause anyone any harm, Kenesha will step back to let the team move in with their equipment, carefully chiselling around the edges to allow for the wedges that will help them pry the door open. Once everything is set, two of the burlier guys on the team will start working the door open slowly.

The hiss of trapped air escaping can be heard, and a brief call of 'PHEW! We sure this ain't a crypt?' from one of the crew that hails from Arkansas. Then the door is wedged open a good three feet. Then five. Then it's being propped all the way open.

Kenesha is right there with a torch, shining it down into the opening, the excitement clear in her voice as she calls out, "We have a stairway! It leads down at least two stories, maybe further." Stepping back from the doorway, she lets the crew in to start photographing and documenting everything. Kenesha looks at her protective gear, at those of the team, tests the air and stone, making sure that it will be safe to proceed.

"Mr. Summers! Looks like we're clear to continue. You feel like suiting up and joining the team? Could use your expertise to make sure nobody missteps, and maybe try to get some dating on all this stone and rock?" Kenesha tugs the hood off her suit and motions Alex to join the team as they start to remove the hazmat style suits and get into a bit lighter of protective gear. Alex will be given the same. A helmet in case of crumbling stones or brickwork, gloves for hand protection, a heavy duty torch, an earbud for easy communication, protective glasses, and a rebreather mask that can be put on in case of emergency need.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex did take a bit of time putting on the suit while all the extra stuff was going on. He answers while approaching with a mask/filter/hood in hand. "Totally wouldn't miss this for the world..." and he'll put his mask on heading for the opening that's still softly gassing out.

He pushes through the picture takers and says, "Slow and easy... you're right for searching for traps. Never know what the Aztecs were thinking when they dug this out. Or what they may be trying to protect." He has a flashlight and descends.

Kenesha has posed:
"Or hide. They had so many doomsday prophecies and possibilities, there were items or even people that they felt needed to be kept away from the world." Kenesha agrees with Alex as they start the descent. With Alex's approval, small hanging lights will be pitoned into the wall every ten feet to ensure they have a clear path back up, as this stairwell is otherwise quite dark. The flashlights are powerful, but the last thing you need if trying to rush, is running into a wall because the stairs turned and you didn't.

Pausing at the sight of some ideographic writings carved into the wall, Kenesha aims her torch at them and runs her gloved fingertips along the grooves. "Huh... it says.. 'Beware the Stone God, the Light is his Ally.' Very interesting. There's stories of a few different Stone *Guardians*... but nothing of a Stone God.." Her lips press together as she thinks, "There *was* a massive battle that took place near here. A lot of Aztec warriors died, but they wouldn't record anything about the battle, what killed their warriors, or what happened after. As if they were afraid that leaving record of it would ensure it was repeated..."

Alex Summers has posed:
That's when there's a low moan from down below. It's followed by a raspy, very weak voice calling out, "....hhhheeeeellp mmmmee...."

Alex says, "There's someone down there?" and he'll throw caution to the wind and descend faster toward the bottom of the stairs where there is a small landing/chamber and an archway into a larger chamber with columns and sarcophagi along the walls. At the far end of the chamber is a dais and a larger ornate sarcophagus. There is an elderly man sitting against that large sarcophagus. He's wearing tattered rags and he looks like he's over one hundred years old. Emaciated and weak.

Kenesha has posed:
"Alex, no!"

Kenesha sends the rest of the team back above with a harsh barked order before turning and racing down the stairs after him. "Alex, get back here!"

She skids to a stop when they reach the small landing, reaching out to grip Alex's arm just above the elbow, hissing out, "They put him down here for a *reason*, Alex." Kenesha peers across the distance towards the old man, shaking her head, "This is bad. We need to go. Now. Do not let his appearance fool you."

Alex Summers has posed:
Much like Mum-Ra, the old man is practically ancient. Alex gets half way across the room and his jog turns into a walk and then three-quarters of the way through he comes to a stop. The old man reaches up toward Alex with his right hand. Alex stands there, unmoving. The ancient man raspy says, "helllep meeeee."

Kenesha has posed:
"Nope. I've seen this movie. I'm sure you've seen this movie. We are NOT touching the ancient vampire being held down in the tomb since the time of the Aztecs." Kenesha strides forward and will bodily lift Alex up if he doesn't move away from the old man, hefting him into a fireman's carry if need be. "You can be mad at me later, but I didn't bring any of the vampire gear, so we're getting out of here until we can determine exactly *what* that being is."

Alex Summers has posed:
By the time you reach Alex, Kenesha can already see the effects of what the ancient man is doing to Alex. She will need to grab Alex as he's beginning to collapse - passing out. Meanwhile, the old man is becoming heavier, filled out, drawing upon Alex's lifeforce (or something). He's becoming more virile. And he intones in a stronger voice, "NO WOMAN, YOU WILL NOT TAKE HIM!"

The man stands. He appears angered. From the man's outstretched hand, a white hot kinetic pulse of energy is blasted toward Kenesha.

Kenesha has posed:
Grabbing Alex up around the waist, she puts him into a fireman's carry and looks back at the man that's suddenly looking much more hale and hearty. Glaring at him, his words provoke a tiny smirk. "I don't answer to you." By the time the blast of energy has built up enough to release, Kenesha and Alex are gone.

The teleport only carries them up into the pit, with Kenesha yelling at the top of her lungs, "Evacuate NOW! We have an unknown meta of indeterminate age and power, get to Ticul and hold at the hotel!"

Snagging one of her crew, she hands Alex off to him, "Take Mr. Summers with you, get him to a doctor." Then Kenesha is racing for her satchel that she left in her tent.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex is completely lethargic, almost catatonic. He mumbles.

There's a roar of anger from the burial chamber and the ground rumbles. More words come out that are hardly intelligible, but they are reminiscent of a killing intent.

Alex is hauled by two people in a direction given and the ground rumbles again. People are scattering in all directions. Sounds of worry and fear come out of the worker's mouths. Nearby tourists are walking into the area to see about the kerfuffle.

Kenesha has posed:
Grabbing her stachel, Kenesha settles it at her hip and rushes back outside, "EVACTUATE UXMAL IMMEDIATELY! This entire site is at immediate risk!" Already calculating what she'll need, Kenesha is racing back to the pit, to the doorway. She pulls a few small yet powerful explosives from the satchel, setting them around the doorway, looking to collapse the entrance and, hopefully, trap the entity within.

Once the explosives are set, she's moving, faster than the human eye can really follow. Getting onlookers and researchers alike ushered out and away from the excavation site, making sure the perimeter is clear before detonating the explosives.

There are times when being a genius is a good thing. This is one of those times. The explosives detonate and send the heavy stone tumbling down over the mouth of the stairwell, blocking it off. At least, momentarily.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex begins to come around now that he's not being drained by the evil that is in the crypt. He starts looking around and asks out loud, "What's... going on? What happened back there?" He was out of it for the teleportation/evacuation and then her darting away.

The evil in the crypt had bulked up, grown a few inches, and was showing definite signs of gaining energy from Havok's presence. And it's also very angry. The roars continue, yet are getting closer and louder as it approaches the hallway, stairs, and boobytrapped door.

Kenesha has posed:
Kenesha rushes around, making sure civilians are kept away from the site, that her crew is taking off. No time to grab their gear or anything, just get in the cars and go! Then.. well... then she's doing something.. strange. Pulling crystals from that satchels and stabbing them into the ground around the edge of the pit.

The crewman that's been helping Alex along just looks grim-faced and shakes her head, "Don't know, boss didn't say. But man, you're looking pale and you were unconscious when she dragged you outta there. We're getting the Hell outta Dodge, though." He's currently being led towards one of the Jeeps they arrived in, looking to head out but quick.

Kenesha, meanwhile, activates the crystals, forming a latticework of glowing silvery lines of light that covers the pit like a net. "Hopefully that will hold until I can figure out what to do about the vamp... big note, do not let him touch anyone."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex, being stubborn, breaks from the assistance and turns, "Where is Kenesha?" and he says, "Gotta get back." He's got it in the back of his mind that there was something in the crypt that needed blasting and he was the one that needed to blast it. He lopes, then jogs back the way they came, back toward the dig. Within a few dozen meters of the pit, he can see the entrance and he sees the shape of a man forming from the darkness. Alex knows that shape is the target, the evil, the whatever was in there.

Alex comes to a dead stop, raising his arms, and blasts - releasing his cosmic energy powered plasma toward the being with a very loud, FOOOOOOOM!

Kenesha has posed:
Kenesha is nearby, watching the figure emerging from the darkness, the doorway still lined with explosives, the net over the pit. Waiting to see what it does next. Then Alex comes stumbling up and Kenesha turns towards him, "Alex, you have to go n-" Her words cut off as he releases the energy into a blast towards the pit.

"Alex, no!"

Too late. The blast passes through the net, disrupting it, the lines flickering under the force of his power. "Well, shit." Kenesha reacts to the power pretty well, but then, she's doing some strange things herself. Moving towards him, she grips his shoulder, "Alex, we have to GO. That thing FED off you!"

Alex Summers has posed:
When the evil energy vampire was struck by Alex's plasma, it simply absorbed the blast. It then leapt from the doorway. As vaulted through the air, it appeared to become much larger - along the lines of 12 feet tall. The leap causes it to tear through the energy net and land mere inches of where Alex is standing and Kenesha just 'appeared'.

Alex hears Kenesha's words, but also sees the assault. He steps back away from the towering 12 foot tall monolith of a man. He Alex intones, "Kenesha, get out of here. I'll handle this!"

The giant says in a deep, elevated voice, "You will not handle the LIVING MONOLITH! The LIVING MONOLITH will handle you!" And he'll reach toward Alex again, a tether of energy is seen as the LM begins to syphon off Alex's core energy.

Kenesha has posed:
"Oh, you idiot..." Kenesha mutters under her breath as Alex gets tethered to the self-proclaimed Living Monolith. She grabs Alex and offers a smirk to the being, "Children, children... you really should learn to play nice with each other. After I take care of Alex, I'll be back to send you to your room."

Then she, and Alex, disappear.

At least, for the Living Monolith. They reappear on.. a ship. A highly advanced ship that almost seems alive. It seems to be made of a crystalline substance with circuitry running through it like veins, seamlessly adding in some sort of metallic plating for armor along the exterior. Releasing Alex into a seat, she gives him a very severe, "Stay put." and moves to stand on a pad, her voice lifting in a beautiful and haunting melody that... seems to be driving the ship?

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex will stay put, he's half conscious again. The Living Monolith drained more of his power. He is settled wherever she places him.

Meanwhile, back at the dig site, the Living Monolith roars in anger and stands upwards of 20 feet tall. He looks around at all the fleeing people and he scans them for energy signatures like that of Alex's. None, and he begins walking toward the large step pyramid of Uxmal. Perhaps there's something there.

Kenesha has posed:
Once the ship has its destination and is underway, Kenesha steps away from the control pad and back over to check on Alex once more. She's not that kind of doctor, but it's clear she's had plenty of training as she kneels down to check his pulse, his pupillary response, his breathing. "Alright... lets get you to the medbay. You've lost a lot of energy and it's going to take time to replace it even with my tech."

Despite his being over half a foot taller and over 50 lbs heavier, she picks him up like he weighs nothing, carrying him down a curving crystlline corridor and through an organic door portal, into a shared medbay/laboratory. She lays him out on a 'bed' that glows softly once he's on it, starting to warm him as she moves to call up something that he can eat and drink. "So.. mutant or mutate? I know you're human, but you clearly have abilities beyond the normal. Energy-based, but not the usual plasma or solar or radiation... cosmic? Maybe. It's hard to say without testing and I'm not that rude."

Carrying the tray over to him, she taps on a crystalline pad and the 'bed' shifts smoothly to lift his upper half so he's reclined but seated rather than laying down. "Here. I wasn't sure what you would like, but I understand most humans find chicken noodle soup comforting... so there's chicken noodle soup and a Gatorade that's got extra elocrolytes in it. It won't replace your energy, but the biobed will help with that until we can get you some more direct exposure to the type of energy you need."

Alex Summers has posed:
The higher the ship goes and the more time passes, Alex becomes increasingly coherent. He looks around and says, "What the heck? Where are we? This some Shi'ar ship?" He starts to raise up to get a better look around and address Kenesha more directly.

Kenesha has posed:
"We are currently entering the stratosphere, this is my ship, and no, I am not Shi'ar. They have a far more.. avian.. appearance." Kenesha turns back to Alex, reaching out to put a hand on his shoulder, "And you should stay put. The biobed is helping to restore your energy, but that creature drew a lot from you." She motions to the food and drink provided, "You should eat and drink. Replenish your energy."

Alex Summers has posed:
"Did you handle the creature? Which brings me to the other question, ' you have powers?'. And I'm guessing you're an alien?" He'll ignore the instructions to settle back down and drink his juice. Instead, he's on his feet and looking around the med bay at the tech.

Kenesha has posed:
"The creature is still at Uxmal. The site has been completely evacuated, and I am tracking it's signature to ensure it isn't leaving. What's more curious to me is that it ONLY seems interested in YOUR energy. It has completely ignored everyone else at the site, myself included." Kenesha glances back to him, smiling faintly at the question, "What gave it away, the alien spaceship or the probing tentacles?" There are no tentacles of any sort. "And I don't have powers. My people are biologically and technologically advanced. Also, I have magical artifacts."

Alex Summers has posed:
"If we're going into space, then all you need to do is drop your shields... or put me somewhere I can absorb the cosmic energy. Then we can go back and we'll handle that .. whatever it was." He pauses a moment then reassesses, "Which means, I keep my distance and do nothing... I need to call for backup. I'm gonna guess that it was feeding off my cosmic battery or the plasma inside of me. Either way, maybe call in an air strike?"

Kenesha has posed:
"Easy enough. We'll head back up to the flight deck and just stand in front of the navigational port." Before Kenesha can object to Alex running at the thing a THIRD time, he amends his own statement and she smiles faintly. "Perhaps not nothing. You lack the necessary physical apparatus to fly the ship... but we need to find a way to knock the creature out, stun it, something... and bury it deep away from the light. In something a little better than a simple tomb of dirt and stone." She motions for him to follow her as she starts for the flight deck again.

"I have the start of an idea, but you know your physiology better than I do. If provided with an adequate source, could you power a weapon that we could use to overload the creature long enough to haul him off to a specific site for containment?" Kenesha motions to him, "Most beings that absorb energy have a limit, especially if hit with a large enough dose in a short amount of time. You might be able to absorb millions of eV's of cosmic energy over time, but if I hit you with it all at once, it's likely to shock your system, briefly overloading your ability, and leaving you vulnerable. The other option is to attempt drawing on his energy until it's depleted, then moving him."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex will move with her toward the noted area and will listen as she covers tactical bases. He states, "I do have a limit to what I can absorb. And at that point, I begin to melt down. Meaning, I start bleeding off my energy until I'm depleted completely. Then the cycle starts over again. He may suffer the same issue. Overload him, and then we can take him out when he's melting down. If that's a thing for him. If he was feeding off of me, then taking him into space would feed his body at an increased rate. He may not be able to handle it - especially if I hit him at the same time."

Kenesha has posed:
Nodding as he shares the limits of his powers and what happens when he hits it, Kenesha starts thinking in different directions. "Okay. So... perhaps magical containment would be best to get him into space, and then you can stay at distance and blast him to get him to hit that limit.. then we can take him back while he's 'melting down' and bury him very deep. And I think I know just where to bury him. The hardest part is going to be getting him into the magical containment." She glances at him, "Can you survive the vacuum of space, or will you need a suit?"

Alex Summers has posed:
An indicator/alarm/notification is issued that will convey to Kenesha that the Living Monolith has fallen off the radar. Perhaps he went underground, teleported, transported, departed by means unknown. In any case, he's no longer being tracked.

Alex states, "Magical? Is that what you do? Or rather, the source of your power? If so, then that shouldn't even be within his realm of absorption. I gather that magic and mutant, or magic anything really don't blend or play well together without it being forced. Maybe he's straight up vulnerable to that sort of attack or manipulation."

Kenesha has posed:
Frowning as she looks at display that shows the creature having gone off the radar, she murmurs, "That shouldn't be possible..."

Shaking her head, she looks back to Alex, "I don't have magic, but I'm familiar with it and I know what to look for, and how to use the items imbued with it. I don't have any powers, perse, just... racial abilities, I guess that's closest to what I have. My people are stronger, faster, hardier, more resistant, and longer-lived than humans. Not quite Kryptonian levels of strong, mind, but strong enough relocate most vehicles efficiently. Some of the elite of my world gain extra abilities, but not all." She leans back against the wall of the ship and sets her hands to her hips, "That 'net' that I put over the pit, that was magical, drawing on the leylines in the Earth. It's all about the crystal placement with that, though."

She glances back to the display, frowning as she taps out a few different commands, trying to locate that particular energy signature again.

Alex Summers has posed:
He listens to her review of her species and what they are gifted with and then he says, "I often think that we are all from different worlds, even those on Earth that seem to not quite be in sync with my own kind... I'm a mutant. And that's really all I know. But there are these things, these metahumans on our planet that are so diverse and overtly powerful; unimaginably so. It seems like we're all from different worlds and different origins." He pauses his reflection and then says, "So you employ magical tools coupled with your own unique racial powers. Interesting. Okay... and no, I cannot survive in space, but get me close to it, maybe a windshield between me and it, and I'll absorb the cosmic energy. Then we can go down and take him out."

Kenesha has posed:
"Mmmmmmmm, there are many different strains of DNA that have mingled with homo sapiens through the millenia, so you're not entirely wrong. The X-gene, however, that's all human. A natural evolution of your species' latent potential. My people tampered with their own genetics until we ended up as we are now. Though, to be fair, a number of alien species have also tampered with the X-gene, in either trying to eradicate it or enhance it. The end results for both sides tends to be terrible." Kenesha offers a smile towards him, "There are plenty of aliens amongst the meta's on this planet... most however, come by their abilities through other means. Some through magic, some through technology, and some through evolution."

Nodding, she presses on a console and the opaque crystalline surface of the ship clears, allowing for a view of their progress. "We're currently headed through the stratosphere, I'll increase our speed to reach the Exosphere more quickly, that should get you close enough." She moves back to the pad, the glow lighting up under her feet as she sings out a brief six note adjustment to the ship before stepping away again. "There."

Alex Summers has posed:
He accepts her information regarding the various types of homo on the planet and how they're all unique in their own way. He's reminded of a song, but doesn't bother referencing it. He looks around the room and then asks, "Okay, where do I need to go?"

Kenesha has posed:
Kenesha motions for him to join her by the newly appeared window, "Wherever you can absorb the most energy from. Draw as much as you can without hitting your meltdown and as soon as I can pick up his signature again, we'll confront him... though I imagine once you're on the ground again, he'll come find *you*."

Alex Summers has posed:
"Pick up his signature again?" Alex queries as he walks to the window, "You mean he's dropped off the radar?" and he'll instantly start feeling better with the nature of the cosmic energy recharging him. Not that he felt bad, simply weak. Then while he stands there, he notes, "Then it'll be a waiting game. Where he'll have the advantage.

Kenesha has posed:
"I don't know how, I was tracking his specific signature. Whether he teleported or whatever, his signature should have popped back up. The only way it should be lost is if he's dead, dormant, or no longer in this dimension or no longer in this quadrant of the galaxy...." Kenesha shakes her head, moving back to the panels where she'd been tracking him, tapping on the pad again. Glancing towards him, she lifts a brow, "What, you've never set a trap for someone before? All we need to do is pick a place of our choosing, set it up how we want, and then wait for him to show up."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex ponders what she shared with a bit of concern and confusion on his face. Then he asks, "Hang on a sec... we're way above the Earth. And you can track him? You didn't put a tracker or anything on his person; Right? Does that mean you can track anyone? Like... You could essentially ping Superman and track his movements to figure out his secret ID. Same applies to any villain out there. Apocalypse, Sinister, Vulcan..." he trails off thinking about the ramifications of such an ability even if it is tech. And he's quite concerned about it too.

Kenesha has posed:
Kenesha lifts a shrug, "This is a scout ship. It's built for stealth and surveillance. Minimal weaponry, light armoring. As soon as I was able to scan his energy signature, the ship's computer can process it and track it anywhere on Earth. Once a being enters space, it becomes harder to track them." She leans back against the console and quirks a faint smile, "I could, but that would be invasive and rude to most everyone. In this instance, the Living Monolith's capacity and propensity for energy absorption and violence made me think we should probably use the ship to keep track of his whereabouts. I reached out to Superman in a far more conventional fashion, and I have no idea who his secret identity is, nor do I want to know. That is his secret to keep or share as he sees fit."

The mention of the villains has her giving a nod, "Sure, I suppose, if I had their energy signatures. But again, on Earth. Or, I suppose, on whatever planet, but generally speaking, it's far easier to track a moving target on a relatively stationary object than in space. It's simply too large."

Alex Summers has posed:
"But anyone.... and I was simply using Superman as an example of what a threat this tech has in the wrong hands. While, in the right hands.... we could track any enemy and take them down with the snap of a finger. Why haven't you done this already? The Living Monolith isn't the only threat to the peace and safety of innocents. There's an attack almost daily where the villain does significant damage and harm to persons - then simply escapes. It seems that you can travel thousands of miles in a few minutes. Surely you could employ this tech to assist in rounding up villains. It's the only ethically responsible thing to ensure that people are safe."

Kenesha has posed:
Kenesha lifts a brow at Alex, "Twice I warned you not to touch or go near the Monolith until we knew more about it. BOTH times you completely ignored me. Please explain to me why I should give up my every waking moment to save your race from itself? Most of the villains on this planet exist, or came here, from humanity's own actions." She leans back against the window without any apparent concern, feet crossing at the ankle, arms folding over her chest. "And what would have me do? Break all sovereign borders? Act unilaterally, with no oversight? Who gets to determine which villains I go after? I predate any recognized government or ruling political body in the world. Do I choose who is a villain? Which criteria do I use? Or perhaps I should simply act as an attack dog for some nebulous ruling body of people? I have watched the rise and fall of countless regimes, organizations, rulers, civilizations. It's a mere fraction of my life. Where does it end?"

Shaking her head, she smirks at him, "You left the country to escape a bad relationship's end. You weren't expecting to hunt down villains. But I'm supposed to spend eternity cleaning up humanity's messes for it. How entitled of you, to volunteer MY life for something you aren't willing to do. I have tech. You have some of the most powerful psychics I have ever seen. They could easily locate every villain on Earth. Why aren't you demanding they do so?"

Alex Summers has posed:
"All of them... Every single one that poses a threat to society. They are easy to define. They go around stealing, killing, raping, pillaging, whatever... They break laws and threaten the innocent. Surely your species has a way to discern morally unjust actions. Or does your species just want to watch other cultures self destruct? And no... our psychics can't simply find villains. Magneto wears a helmet that shields his mental signature. You claimed that you can find any person in the quadrant with your tech. And yes, I ran in there twice because I wanted to ensure that no one was going to be the victim of whatever was inside. I'm willing to put my life, my technology, my whatever in front of innocents - every day, all day. But apparently, immortal aliens don't feel the same way." He's clearly annoyed. Then he states, "How about you beam me down to the surface so you can get back to your watching."

Kenesha has posed:
"Which ones? The politicians that steal the money to keeps a large percentage of your population scrabbling for clean water, food, and a home? Or the ones in the brightly colored costumes that steal bars of gold or expensive stones from the ultra rich that run the world? Have you asked yourself how much collateral damage you've caused, the cost of which had to be absorbed by the people you say you're protecting? How about how many people get hurt because of falling debris from a wild blast? The business owner who loses their livelihood because you blew a huge hole through their store chasing after someone causing even MORE collateral damage in the effort to put you off the chase? You will have me hunt down some mentally deficient costumed 'villain' who may have hurt dozens of people... but not the absolutely normal terrorist that kills thousands? Should I have eradicated Hitler for you, too? Pol Pot? Bin Laden?" Kenesha points at him, "When. Does. It. End. And why is it MY responsibility to do what YOU won't? You could spend your entire life hunting them down, go ask the Fantastic Four to use their technology. Or the Shi'ar. You aren't making these demands of the Kryptonians or the Amazons. Just me. One person. I'M supposed to save humanity. Just me." Throwing her hands up in the air, she laughs, "Oh yes, you were willing to do all that... and instead YOU LET IT LOOSE. YOU created this mess and I'M trying to fix it. If you had listened to ME in the first place, there wouldn't BE a Living Monolith tromping around! You ungrateful, infantile human. In one breath demand I fix all your problems, and in the next, you insult me when I've done nothing but try to fix the very problem YOU created!"

Snorting, she shakes her head and pushes away from the window and towards the pad, "If I could teleport you from here, I would gladly do so. And once we're in range, I will be all too happy to be rid of you. Until then, sit there, keep your hands and your opinions to yourself, be a good child, and I'll make sure you get home safe before I go clean up your mess."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex is trapped, unable to go anywhere. So he simply sits and broods. Not to be confused with the Brood, an alien race that would gladly exterminate another which she probably wouldn't stop either. He then simply says, "You're the one that dug him up." and leaves it at that. Waiting for his dropping off.

Kenesha has posed:
"Oh, yes. Such a dig. I opened the door to his tomb. And I had the *common sense* to not approach or touch the ancient being that had been sealed into the tomb. That shining bit of idiocy lands squarely in your lap."

Lifting her voice from snark into song, Kenesha gets the ship moving as quickly as can be managed without posing risk to the ship or the planet. Quite eager to be rid of her erstwhile passenger. The moment they enter the atmosphere, she strides over to him, gripping his shoulder so she can teleport them to the surface.

Alex will find himself suddenly standing at the mouth of an alley in Mutant Town, right near the diner favored by so many. "There. You're home. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a Living Monolith to hunt down and bury beyond the ability of archeology to find. You're welcome." And then she's gone again, off to start tracking the Monolith the old-fashioned way.

Alex Summers has posed:
Appearing in Mutant Town, Alex is all too familiar with the environment. He will break free of her grip and mutter something about going to fuck herself while he walks off. Disgusted. He'll exit the alley and wait for his com badge to reconnect to the grid so he can call for pickup.
