Cast of Characters: Minoke, Clark Kent

Minoke has posed:
Minoke just got off work. This strange 8-hour workday is something to get used to, but the green-skinned woman has adapted to this. As soon as she demonstrated her skills with fixing a broken necklace to stronger than it was before, she got hired. Money is a strange concept to her, but it's what is used to get goods and services. So, she simply rents a small studio apartment. She doesn't need anything from it, really, other than electricity for herself, so the costs are low. It's just barely enough to cover, but it's good enough. She decided to walk through Metropolis today, and studies the Daily Planet building, tilting her head. One of the premier sources of information on this planet. The LexCorp building... she has heard enough to avoid. She wouldn't want to be found out. She has tried, again, to mask her appearance, but she just can't get her shapeshifting to work properly so just is an obvious Coluan with green skin and a glowing eye in the middle of her forehead. Few seem to recognize the specific race, and most would probably treat her as some kind of mutant. She has received a few insults about it, but she is trying to stay peaceful for now.

Clark Kent has posed:
A tall gentleman - dark hair, glasses, dark suit, blue tie, worn black shoes and a slight smile walks along the streets of Metropolis after exiting the Daily Planet like he does every day.

Moving to avoid pedestrians with a look, Clark Kent maneuvers around the sidewalk with a concentratin bred from years of practice.

The day is calm. Cool, but not too cold. Sun in the sky, a few clouds, but otherwise a perfect winter afternoon in Metropolis. The bustle of the busy day was noticeable, but not too loud. Honks, sirens, and voices are loud, but not deafening. An average day.

Spotting a fascinating woman who was green skinned with a glowing eye in the middle of her forehead, Clark Kent blinks, and moves closer.

"Um. Ma'am. Ma'am!" Clark raises his right hand in a wave. His smile was meant to be disarming, and his voice was amicable. "Hi! It is nice to meet you. Are you okay? You seem to be looking for someone? Or somewhere? I can help."

Minoke has posed:
Minoke blinks as she turns to see a tall man approaching her. "Hello," she states softly. "I was just... ummm.... admiring the architecture of this building. That giant metal globe on the roof was eye-catching. I just got off work near here." She then blinks. "Oh right. My name is Minoke," she states, extending her hand towards the one who started conversation with her - few people do due to her appearance - again, she's often avoided due to people not really caring for mutants.

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark Kent takes a moment to push his glasses back up on his nose. Looking slightly down at Minoke, Clark smiles his most warm smile. Then, looking where her gaze went, Clark nods sagely. "Ah. It is incredible architecture. A marvel of Human ingenuity."

"Oh! I just got off work as well! It is a pleasure to meet you Minoke. I am Clark. Clark Kent. I work at the Daily Planet. I'm a Reporter." Clark takes her hand in his, and gently shakes it.

"It is a beautiful day today. A great day to meet new friends." He looks at Minoke. "So, are you from around here? I'm from Smallville. Now I live in Metropolis." Not a lie, not the whole truth.

Minoke has posed:
Minoke blinks. "I'm... ummmm... from... far away. I don't really remember where. I've had some... head trauma that caused a bit of amnesia." She is a bit vague, not sure how to expalin that she literally fell out of the sky in a broken rocket as a puddle of half-melted goo. "I work at that jewelry store on Rose Street. I just fix broken jewelry. I'm quite talented with it. I have a knack for metal." She smiles softly. "Ohhhhh! I like the Daily Planet. It helps me learn more about this world. I've seen your name on some stories."

Clark Kent has posed:
"Ah. Far away. I understand." Clark's eyes reveal, he does understand. "Oh. Amnesia is an awful affliction. Is there anything I can do to help?" Clark offers with a nod. "If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know!" Clark pulls out a card from his pocket. It is a little bent, but servicable. It has his work details, and phone number.

"Oh! I have seen that jewelry store. Walk by it every day. Never went in. I'll have to drop in the next time I am walking by, and say hello! Maybe even buy something!"

Clark's expression was wistful, as though he would like to buy something, but - well, reporter's salary.

"You've seen my name? Well, that is good! Lois gets most of the big stories, but I do my best. Thank you for mentioning that. I appreciate it!" Clark grins.

Minoke has posed:
Minoke shrugs. "I don't know how how you could help - getting a better-paying job would let me get into a better place - but what I have is good enough." She shrugs. "Lois? As in Lois Lane? Yes, her name appears more, but you seem a nice man, Mister Kent." She sighs softly. "I can probably make some jewelry out of regular metal - it won't be gold or silver, but it could be just as intricate if you'd like." She shrugs. "I don't have any real plans - was just going to go to my apartment..."

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark nods. "Yes. Lois Lane." His voice was warm, with a tinge of amusement. "I think a better paying job would help all of us!"

"Thank you for saying so. You seem to be a nice young woman as well." A pause. "Well, that would be nice. I would love to see your work, and would be willing to pay for that intricate work. I love supporting true artists."

"Oh! I was heading home myself." Clark stops, and looks distantly, as though distracted. Frowning he says, "Maybe we will meet again soon! Have a great night." With a little wave, Clark moves towards the nearest alley, strangely enough.

Minoke has posed:
Minoke blinks as she sees Clark heading towards an alley. Curious- maybe it's a shortcut. Or the spot to pick up his taxi cab is over there or whatever. She smiles. "That would be nice," she states softly. Something is interesting about this Clark Kent. She nods as she starts walking away... but she stepped on a weak seciton of concrete which snapped under her surprising weight as she moves forward. She doesn't even look - she's kinda used to the world being a bit too fragile. Minoke has, also, learned to avoid bumping into people for similar reasons to Clark - such evasive maneuvers could be noticable if a keen observer was looking...

Clark Kent has posed:
As Clark ducks into the alleyway, he pulls his tie off, and opens his suit and shirt to reveal a "S" Symbol on his chest. With a blue or red, blue and yellow, he was gone...
