Cast of Characters: Alex Summers, Julio Richter

Alex Summers has posed:
The ground shakes. It's a minor shake and quake. Not unnatural for the NYC area as there's a fault line running right through the middle of it. But it's an ancient fault line and rarely quakes anything that people can feel. This time, people feel it. Yet, also not an uncommon thing for people in the Tri-State area to feel the ground shake. Every time a super battle is going on (every 30 min), the ground may tremble. But this time, it's pretty evident to people like Richter (if he has his quake sense on) that it was more than a simple impact. It was something along the lines of generated shockwaves that resonated through the concrete, steel, and dirt beneath the general area.

The epicenter is somewhere in Brooklyn. Between a building or four. Quite close to where Richter was standing. Within walking/running distance.

The hustle and bustle of morning traffic continues, undisturbed.

Then there's the noise of a FOOOOOOOM that echoes between the buildings of midtown Brooklyn. That noise attracts the attention of a few; while others continue about their day. A nearby cop radios it in for confirmation that it's not a work crew while he starts to walk in the direction of the noise.

Suddenly a blue blur whips through a crowd of people waiting for the walk indicator to change. The wind whips behind him, blowing a man's hat from his head and the hem of a woman's dress up above her knees. A dog barks, another whimpers. The blue blur was seen rushing down the sidewalk and then turning into an alleyway.

Julio Richter has posed:
The Geomancer had not only been listening, he's been present. Drawn to the area almost in advance of the issue, virtually unconscious of why. He'd put down his book, open on the table, he'd bummed a ride from someone leaving the compound and he'd made it here in time to have his hair riffled by the blue blurr. He did not know why he'd been called here, he'd followed the earth and her whispers, he hadn't told a soul what he was doing. He had a vague sense of dread, but also the notion that he had to be here to witness something, or do something. It was with a prevailing sense of destiny that he turned the corner into the alleyway, without having any sense of what was going to happen.

Alex Summers has posed:
There was a warning that Richter could detect... but it wasn't something that anyone else could sense. The warning came in the trembeling of the concrete and earth beneath his feet. As he turned into the mouth of the alley, he saw the warning made into reality. A 7' tall 'wave' of concrete was pushing a blonde man (Havok) out of the alleyway. However, the word 'pushing' is far too nice. The wave is forcing the man out of the alley quite violently. Along with him are two dumpsters, several metal trash cans, lots of refuse and other debris. The man tumbles, rolls, and barely gets any sort of footing. The man pushes off the solid wave of concrete, clasps his hands together, and from them a fiery blast of super heated plasma blasts through the wave, boring a 3' diameter hole in it and causing a massive FOOOOOOOM noise that continues to rip through the alleyway beyond the wave of concrete and striking someone who lets out an AAARRRRRGGGGG. The remnants of the wave wash out onto the street, flipping a small delivery van and taking several other people off their feet. The man in question lands hard on the pavement of the street itself.

The warning would have easily prepared Richter to step out of the way if he wanted.

Deeper within the alley, a man wearing metallic armor has been blasted back onto the ground (from Havok's blast). He is scorched but far from out of the conflict. Then from around a back corner, the blue blur (Super Sabre) whips past the man in armor at super speed. He seems to be holding a crowbar or some stick made of metal. He's rushing toward the downed blonde man (Havok) and Richter (by proxy/proximity).

Footnote: Havok is wearing a black and white super suit.

Julio Richter has posed:
Julio Richter instinctively caught part of the wave with his sphere of control, the unconscious part that protected him from impacts and vibration. When he realized part of the concrete ripple was frozen around him he threw his hands up over his head, ordering the alleyway closed. A wall of errant concrete, trash, part of a dumpster and a parked bicycle formed behind him.

"Havok!" he shouted, but he didnt know what to tell him. Just that he was here, and backing him up. He didn't even expect the man to remember him, but he had to tell him 'You are not alone in this fight!' somehow.

Alex Summers has posed:
Havok skids to a stop on the pavement and his blue eyes snap to Richter with a look of relief and gratitude. He calls out, "Three targets. Avalanche, Super Saber, Stonewall!"

Super Saber hits the items that Richter threw into his way. However, he uses the new terrain as a means to wall-run. His feet hit the harder surfaces as he banks left across the fabricated wall and then runs to the side brick wall of the alleyway. Running backwards while spiraling upward. He hits the back wall, then the other side wall running toward the mouth of the alley once again (in the higher area above the fabricated wall). He is still a blur of motion.

From above, the member of the trio, Stonewall falls and lands like a stone next to Richter. He smiles and says, "Wrong fight, boy!" and then proceeds to try and punch Richter straight in the chest with the hope of knocking him back into the building wall.

Julio Richter has posed:
Julio Richter might be immune to impacts but he is not immune to being ragdolled by a brick, he flies back into the building with his arms splayed out. The wind goes out of him, his eyes dazedly try and follow Saber's dizzying parkour, but give up and return to Stonewall. "Why?!" he asks him, it suddenly seeming to him like they are fighting over nothing more than an alleyway, he just doesnt have enough information yet. He pushes off the wall and makes an uppercut of his own, but his only hits air and instead drives a column of bedrock under Stonewall, jacking him up into the air before it drops away beneath him suddenly. It gives Richter a little time to get clear of Stonewalls devastating melee range even if the fall doesn't hurt him.

Alex Summers has posed:
Richter's stony strike of Stonewall takes the villain up, then down hard. Chunks of concrete and steel seem to be connected to Stonewall's feet. Mainly because he was using his power to anchor himself by squeezing his feet tight to prevent falling. However, the entire surface of the ground rising up is impossible to anchor and keep from falling. He lands hard on his back. However, he's still quite awake.

Super Saber leaps out of the alleyway, steps off the raised column of bedrock and falls straight down toward Havok.

Havok sees the attack from his newly crouched position (while standing) and blasts upward with one hand while he tries to dodge/roll to the right.

Super Saber is clipped by the erratic defensive blast. He spins mid air, hits a mini van and bounces off of it to skip half way down the street into the side of a building.

Meanwhile, scores of people have stopped to watch the combat - film it even with their fancy cell phones.

Suddenly Richter will easily sense the wave of Avalanche based force from the alleyway as another wave of concrete rips through his makeshift wall blasting debris, concrete, steel, rock outward in all directions - shattering the wall into shrapnel which will be blasted outward in such a way that it will hit pedestrians, vehicles, and possibly heroes.

Julio Richter has posed:
Julio Richter is concentrating on too many things at once, Avalanche's wave is felt though, and Richtor can almost sense the damage it will do. Avalanche is better at this than he is, Stonewall is a major distraction and will keep him totally occupied once he gets to his feet again. The only way to stop a wave is dead space. All these thoughts tangle in his mind, locking it up for a second. He closes his eyes in anticipation of the loss.

Until a queer little smile hits the corner of his lips. "Ok Stonewall, have it your way." he says, lay his palms out like healing hands, and waving them toward the brute.

Instead of opposing Stonewall's control, he amplifies it, massively. Stonewall becomes the center of an mesomeric attraction. His grip on the ground which he had been using in resistance is now the full measure of his strength and Richtors combined. The resonance factor imployed by Avalanche to move the ground, and the Stonewall to keep it still hit each other at at least equal measures, and something like a gravity well of geomantic and geokinetic power swirls around Stonewall. The whole area shakes as the forces interact, Richer holding on with his palms out waiting to see if the gamble pays off.

Alex Summers has posed:
Havok tries to answer the aforementioned question posed by Richter. All the while, Havok attempts to dodge and roll and evade flying rocks by moving behind a motor vehicle. He calls out, "Bait and Ambush."

Debris rains down. Bystanders are hit. Knocked back and to the ground. First responder sirens are heard drawing near.

Stonewall leaps to his feet and charges Richter while yelling back to Avalanche who is emerging from the mouth of the alley, "SABER IS DOWN, TAKE HAVOK OUT! I'VE GOT THIS PUNK!"

Avalanche knows that he should be facing off against Richter, but he doesn't want to confuse or question his teammate.

Then suddenly, Richter's power takes hold and the mess really begins. The geokinetic power swirls around Stonewall and the earth seems to turn upside down as the villain is caught instantly off guard and overwhelmed. He URKS and then is slammed into the passing Avalanche.

Avalanche instinctively throws up a wave of force between he/Stonewall and Richter. That wave will actually push in two directions. Pushing toward Richter and pushing toward themselves - and pushing them toward Super Sabre who is getting to his feet, disoriented (yet still half a block away).

Havok is also caught in the wave as it pushes the vehicle he's hiding behind to avoid the rain of debris. Tumbling backward, the X-Man uses the force to leap up and vault to the side to get off another shot. FOOOOOOOM! Havok's plasma blast hits the wave of stone/concrete that propels Stonewall/Avalanche up the street. It rips through the wave of material and then there's a huge plume of dust that instantly fills the street, obscuring vision in all directions. Blinding the heroes and likely the villains.

Julio Richter has posed:
Julio backs up to the general area where Havok will land, he's running out of answers. He puts his back to something hard and pants, holding his palms out as if that will somehow help. His power is drained, the maelstrom he created around Stonewall is waning. He might have one good stunt left in him, but you wouldnt know it to look at him. "If there just here for us, then lets get the hell out of here." he posits.

Alex Summers has posed:
The sound of a manhole cover clanging can be heard between the screams and cries for help of the bystanders and the high pitched whirl of approaching sirens. The villains escape into the sewers. The dust continues to billow.

Havok gets to his feet, spots Richter in the haze, and says, "They're gone.." then he looks around, "We need to help these people; but clear out before police start asking too many questions..." and he'll break off to help others. He's got a pretty big bump and gash on the side of his forehead. He'll go and try to lend aid even as the dust still hangs in the air.

Julio Richter has posed:
Julio Richter makes good use of what little he has left to try and return the area to something the responders can at least get their vehicles into, or try and walk around or over. Like a kid clearing a path through his room to get to the laundry basket, its not pretty. "Yeah." he replied breathily, "No questions, gotta get...home." he says, somewhat incredulously. He supposes its home now.
