Synopsis:	Clark and Jimmy feel the wrath of Perry when the editor in chief tries to go cold turkey on his vices.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
It's been a day that no doubt has had some of the staff of the Daily Planet. The news has been rough, the bullpen wary and on edge. Today.. Today is the day that the Editor in Chief, Perry White, has decided to cut off smoking and caffeine due to doctor's recommendation. And, being Perry, he has gone cold turkey on both. On the same day. And today is his first day.

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark Kent is working at the Daily Planet, just like every other day, except today is not so "same same". Perry White. Ah yes. At the best of times he wasn't a "pleasant" ray of sunshine. Today would be a day that Clark would rather face Brainiac, Luthor and Metallo at the same time than face Perry.

Sneaking behind a cubicle to look down the "alley" of the bullpen, Clark tip toes to his spot, and sighs in relief when he doesn't see or here the esteemed Editor In Chief. "Phew." Pretending to wipe sweat off his brow, he tosses his hat on his desk, and moves to sit down.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Perry is stressed and aggravated, the vein in his head not quite throbbing. It's the start of the day and the cast and crew are sweating. "OLSEN!" The photographer jumps up, caught by surprise and looks around rapidly in a 'who, me' expression that is petrified.
    "What Sir?" Even Olsen is gulping.
    "Stop it!"
    "Stop, er, what Sir?"
    "Fidgeting! It's annoying me."
    Olsen, whom had been tapping his fingers on his lap humming 'How Much Wood Could a Woodchuck Chuck' under his breath would stammer, "RIght away chief!"

Clark Kent has posed:
Clark Kent almost makes it to his chair. Almost. Clark hears the call for "OLSEN", and shakes his head. Playing his part, Clark pushes his chair out a bit too far, and with a yelp, lands on his behind, on the floor. Klutz.

Leaping up suddenly, Clark takes a moment to dust himself off, and with the commotion going on around the Chief, tries to sneak out. Hearing everything the Chief says to Olsen makes Clark wince. Hoping to get away, he tries to make no further sound, but it was sometimes hard to turn of Klutz Kent, as he knocks over a stapler off Lois' desk.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Olsen goes to stammer and move to sit up, "Sorry Chief! I'll stop it at once!" Teeth chattering, he goes to stand up over, which has the ancient, bulky camera he has that looks like about the size of an old desktop monitor fumble off his lap to hit the ground with a CLONK. The camera is durable enough to handle being gorilla-handled, as Jimmy is wont to do at sometimes.

The two klutzes going off at once has gotten that vein on Perry's temple to start throbbing. Normally this early in the day it only comes up if the Planet globe has been torn out by a supervillain again.

"YOU TWO! MY OFFICE! NOW!"

Clark Kent has posed:
"Chief!" Clark says, turning around, his expression one of "panic" as he is caught trying to escape. "What can I do for you? Oh! Your office! Copy that!" Clark says, whiping around, stepping on the stapler and kicking it across the floor.

Clark then scrambles to pick it up, using the distraction to slowly put it back on Lois' desk. Then he pushes his glasses back up on his nose, sighs, maybe a bit too loud, and slowly makes his way to the Chief's Office, ignoring all the sympathetic faces he sees on the way.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Jimmy looks over at Clark, worried as the pair go into the office. Then his eyes slowly turn over to the mug of coffee. That is filled with.. INSTANT. And worse.. Instant DECAF. He looks over at Clark with total concern. "I.. Don't think he's having a good day." What an understatement.

Clark has the cover to put things down at Jimmy gulps. Perry goes to glare at the two. "It's a slow news day." He says in the polite tone which normally indicates that the pair will be sent into the sewers.

Clark Kent has posed:
"I agree Jimmy. He's not." Clark smiles weakly, and turns his attention to the Chief. "Well! Chief! Maybe I can take Jimmy out, and see if we can find some news fit to print! And maybe bring you back a real cup of coffee! " Clark stammers and says, "Without caffeine of course. At least it isn't this instant stuff."

Clark looks over at Jimmy for some support. "What do you think Jimmy? Any suggestions?"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Jimmy would look over at Clark wide-eyed with a 'why are you putting this on me' expression. "Well, err, I was thinking.."

Whatever follows is apparently not a good idea as Perry's screams echo into the hallway as the doors slam shut, and a cold shiver passes through the entire writer's block.

Clark Kent has posed:
Grabbing Jimmy by the arm, Clark Kent smiles at the Chief, and whispers, "Come on Jimmy!" Without waiting for Perry's approval, the two flee out the door as the door slams shut, and Perry starts yelling again. Not running, not walking, the two head towards the elevator with all due alacrity!

"Poor Mr. White..."
