Mary Seward has posed:
It wasn't too long earlier that Mary Seward had a direct encounter with a good chunk of the Bat-Family. After getting situated in New York, she decided to go back in Gotham, to pick up some of her progeny she had left behind to keep building up their ranks. Of course, this was a cinch once she figured her way around the teleporters Mystique had so kindly given her. Her last pit-stop just so happened to have it's tenants having a really bad time with the local vigilantes killing their way through.

She had shown up to put them in their place. Trade a few eyes for a few other eyes....She was for a while. It was going well. Then, they had to pull out their toys and their tricks. They actually made her struggle. They made her retreat...It was frustrating. Even more so when the one in the red helmet decided to blow up some of her fleeing fledglings. Messed up her penthouse living room something crazy. Now, the rest are healing up in the medbay of this very Asteroid.

Mary on the other hand, is slumped against her bar. Her hand had finally healed up after getting chopped up by the Daywalker himself...now, she's waiting on a visit from a friend of hers. A special friend...

Raven Darkholme has posed:
For meetings such as this the majority of the regulars are warned off, leaving just a few straglers in the bar, along with the bartender, Sascha. Mystique liked to keep things orderly, and to offer a bit of privacy when she thought it was needed.

Ritz portals weren't translucent, so most could not see through them, but she could, and she had already reported to Mystique that things had gotten bad. So when Mary requested Mystique's presence, she dropped everything to head to the bar.

Dressed in black leather pants with heeled ankle boots, a black leather triangle halter, and a light black denim jacket, she made her way into the room.

Sascha offered a nod, but other wise kept to himself behind the bar. Mystique crossed the room and when she reached the bar, rather than take a stool, she leaned against it in the space beside Mary.

"How can I help?" she asked bluntly, seeing an ally in need.

Mary Seward has posed:
"Some blood would be nice."

Mary turns her head up at Mystique, looking her over.

"Like the outfit...Real hot."

Another joke out of her lips, mainly to keep her own mood up.

"They got me good, Mystique. They really did. Those humans in Gotham, they had...they cheated basically. They had so many gadgets and weapons just to kill me and my kind. Course I should've seen that coming when they had Blade with them but...I got cocky and...Him, the Batman...he got into my HEAD, he pissed me off like I've never been pissed off before."

She can't keep herself from snarling just at the thought.

"...Even when we were fleeing, one of them bombed us on the way out. Blew them up, knowing full well we were leaving.... That's a war crime I think, or whatever...." Ignoring her own brutality towards the wounded Talia and her aggrieved son.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
A single nod is offered to Sascha before Mystique's full attention is back on Mary. The man moves out from behind the bar to go and collect blood for Mary.

"Given the public location, I do hope blood in a large glass is acceptable," she comments, canting her head slightly.

"The Bat Family, Gotham Knights," she mutters with a slight hiss. "Vigilante heroes with enough money to back their toys, and still purchase a small country if they wished."

Very gently she lays her hand on Mary's shoulder. "Making enemies of the Bats is a dangerous game," she then warns. "They have the training, and those tech gadgets are invented by Batman himself. They believe they hold the rights to everything in Gotham, and if you aren't with them, you are against them."

Giving her shoulder a very light squeeze, just in case the vampire queen is hurting, she adds, "Batman believes that all is fair in love and war. You and your kind are an enemy, and thus they will all hunt down your children. Believe it or not, you are better off in New York City and the surrounding boroughs. I will see to the repairs of your penthouse, in the mean time you and yours are welcome to stay here on the Asteroid."

Mary Seward has posed:
"...You are way too good for me, Raven. You really are. I swear I could kiss you right now...and I might, I don't know, I'm feeling a lot of ways right now." She looks down at the hand on her shoulder. Something in her...really needed that. She really did.

"...But, I guess, you're all to used to this kind of thing...I guess that was my own little mini-Genosha...If I can even say that, I don't wanna offend. I'm woke, I swear." She dips her head down.

"...I hate them. Them and that self-hating dhampir, and all others they associate with....I want them torn up, strung up, cut up...Them and the rest of filthy, horrible mankind...But, it'll have to wait a long time I suppose...."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Keeping her hand on Mary's shoulder, Mystique accepts the large warm glass from Sascha, and offers it to the Vampire Queen. Where it came from, who it came from, none of that mattered, but it was fresh.

"If you kiss me, I may have to pretend to be offended," she smiles playfully, and even winks. "Though I should warn you that my relationship status is... complicated. That doesn't mean I can't be comforting."

As Sascha moves to pour a cup of coffee for Mystique, the blue mutant's yellow eyes remain focused on Mary.

"I am not offended by the comparison to Genosha, in a way it is in fact similar. Trying to establish a place for yourself and your family, all the while forced to deal with humans who do not understand you and refuse to accept you." She sighs softly, a small shake of her head.

"Even if you had willing humans to give you blood, and never once fed from someone unwilling, humans would find a reason to despise you. You are too different, too powerful, too scary, or any number of other excuses offered to not accept you."

Accepting the coffee that is already creamed with no sugar, just the way she likes it, she slides a stool over to Mary. "Sir, relax, you are safe here. There will come a time when humans no longer exist, when the natural evolution will lead to a world of mutants, and willing donors for your family."

Mary Seward has posed:
"Fine, I'll just kiss someone else tonight..." She sighs, grabbing her glass and beginning to drink.

"That's good and all, but despite being totally immortal enough to do so, I don't wanna wait long for that time to come...If anything I wanna kickstart it. She takes her seat on the stool, nice and comfortable. The blood has given her back some of her energy.

"But, I guess that's what I'm here for...Maybe, it's good that I had something like this. Makes me more appreciative of the Brotherhood. That I know people who I can lean on...who'll actually help me with my goals. Even some other vamps scoff, they judge. They don't want to imagine an unlife different from the ones they've had for years and years and years. They think I'm a radical and that I'm insane...but, you all know the way the world should be. You're all working to make it that way...and believe me, honey, I'm all the way with you on it. That mission on the Friends of Humanity was no fluke, I am in this for the long haul..."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Settling herself on the stool next to Mary's, Mystique continues to watch Mary. Not in a nervous or paranoid way, simply watching her move and speak. In part, she understood the human fear of the undead, and many of the Vampire Queen's progeny didn't really choose to become one with the night. She had thought long and hard about her decision to approach Mary in the first place and to offer assistance. In the end, the blue mutant believed the ends justified the means.

"I haven't lived as long as you have existed, but I have been around for a while," she explains, taking a small sip of her coffee.

"I have watched how, just in the United States, humans have taken to either fearing mutants, ignoring our existence entirely, or speaking up for change with us. The heroes however... you and I should go over the very long list of super powered individuals out there who might be able to take you down, because I would much rather you remain with us in this world so you can see your dreams reach fruition."

Mary Seward has posed:
Mary is in the middle of another sip of her own. "...Hmm...Yeah, that's probably a real good idea...I mean, I think I could kick that spider-guy or whatever his name is' ass at least." She shrugs, not really caring either way.

"I'll take any excuse to dish with you, at least. I like our talks..."

Raven Darkholme has posed:
"I will arrange for a snack for your progeny," Mystique states with a smile. "And once you are healed and back to yourself, we'll arrange a meeting so I can share all the heroes you should be on the look out for."

Another sip is taken before she sets the coffee on the bar, "For tonight however, I believe you could use a hot bubble bath, a little more blood, and perhaps a movie to lighten your spirits."

Mary Seward has posed:
"Oh, hell yeah, that sounds amazing..." She raises her glass and clinks it against Mystique's, a smile on her face.
