- Sprite has posed:
Sprite is out and about on the streets of New York. It's not uncommon for her lately; she's made friends in the city. But as usual, there's always that...separation, from the masses of humanity. The burden of immortality. Still, it's a bright summer day, and Sprite is doing her best to be chipper. She has shorts, sneakers, t-shirt, earbuds. She's actually dressed mostly the age she /looks/ today, which is a bit of a rarity for her.
And then she sees her. The short redhead just stops, dead in her tracks. Looks. Stares a little, making sure she's actually seeing what she thinks she's seeing. And then she sprints for Sersi, heedless of anything in her path. People. Vehicles. Whatever. Doesn't matter.
- Sersi has posed:
Sersi is vaguely aware of Sprite's presence. The other Eternal may be small, or one might even go so far as to say she's smol, but she's also a dense cluster of cosmic energy. That kind of thing stands out, assuming you have the ability to perceive it at all.
When the cars start honking and the tires start screeching and the fine gentlemen start shouting words their mothers would no doubt be very proud to hear in their sons' vocabularies, Sersi turns to see what's happening, eyebrow raised, fingers ready to turn one thing into another thing as seems best under the unknown circumstances to settle the dispute. Fortunately, Sprite is not a situation best solved by transmutations. Sersi's face breaks into an open smile. "Sprite!" she cries amiably.
- Sprite has posed:
Sprite moves in like a red-headed homing missile, and THUMP! wraps her arms around Sersi as she finally reaches her fellow Eternal. She hugs her tight enough that a human would probably be making a hospital visit; but they're both Eternals and so on the same "scale", so it's basically a smol tween hugging a grown-up. "Sersi!!" She holds it a long moment, before releasing the taller woman and looking over.
"I've missed you so much! I've missed everyone so much! What have you been up to? Where have you been?" Her eyes are bright and she's excited, in a way that she rarely gets anymore. Instead of the old-woman-in-a-young body that she interacts with most people with...no. Here she's the excited young girl she looks like. This is family.
- Sersi has posed:
"Other planets," Sersi explains to the girl about her waist, as if that's a perfectly natural answer to the question. With Sersi, it kind of is. "The last one got destroyed by something that looked like a rogue Celestial, but a bunch of humans were fighting it (isn't it always humans?), so I came back to find out what they know and what needs to be done about it." She shrugs easily. "And youself?"
- Sprite has posed:
It is, for them. "Trying to keep myself entertained, honestly. I've been puttering about with a group that tends to look into some mystical things; it's not really our usual wheelhouse, but then, not a lot deals with what we deal with here." She's using her illusion powers; everyone else is hearing generic boring conversation, rather than their real words. Only Sersi and Sprite hear the real conversation. "Are you back here on Earth for a while, then? Are you staying here in the city?"
- Sersi has posed:
Sersi, who would not have cared very much if people has overheard what she was really talking about, doesn't notice the illusion. She just nods along at Sprite's explanation. "Just entertained?" she asks, taking care not to let a hint of judgment into her voice. It's not that she's feeling judgmental (she isn't), but rather that she doesn't want to give the wrong impression.
- Sprite has posed:
The Eternal girl releases the hug, and shrugs a little. "Things get boring. You know how it goes. Mostly I help them out. Occasionally I make their lives more interesting." She smirks a little. She /is/ the Eternal trickster, after all. "I could introduce you to them, if you like. I mean, I don't know if you're hanging out with anyone. Or, I've got a werecoyote friend here in the city; she's probably my best mortal friend right now; I could introduce you there too, if you'd like." She's clearly trying to put together a more Sprite-friendly social network.
- Sersi has posed:
"Oh, I'm sure I'd love to meet your friends," Sersi says agreeably. "As long as you don't mind me recruiting them to fight this giant space man-monster. Did I mention it's coming here? I feel I should have, if I didn't."
- Sprite has posed:
"...Yeah, you might have wanted to lead with that." Sprite says, dryly. "Didn't know anything about that. And sure, I'm sure we can get in on that. Heck, sounds like you've been more in on this than I am. I'll have to get ahold of the JLD, and call Mercy. You have a phone number I can get ahold of you at? I try to keep the Mother Box for emergencies, and I know you don't tend to carry yours all the time." the redhead questions.
- Sersi has posed:
"I've been doing better about carrying it," Sersi says, which is true as long as you're only talking about the last five days. "She's probably the best way to reach me since I don't have a phone, unless you've been working on your telepathy since I was gone?"
- Sprite has posed:
Sprite looks a little sheepish. "Not a lot. I mean, mostly reading mortals surface thoughts." She shrugs. "Not as much my thing, you know?" Sersi is matter manipulation, Sprite is illusions. They both have the full Eternal suite, but with Eternals it's more about where they specialize. She considers. "Okay Well, if there's some giant monster devouring planets, I'd better do this sooner than later. I'll start getting ahold of people. But don't be as much of a stranger!" She chastizes.
