- Jemma Simmons has posed:
A unique situation has arisen.
One that comes with its own sets of challenges.
An alarm has sounded off that only certain few in SHIELD know about. Namely, Jemma and Daisy. That alarm, nestled on the dark side of the moon, away from human eyes, in the middle of Attilan, the city of the Inhumans. Jemma knows what that alarm was monitoring. Or, rather, what is no longer there being monitored and that prompts an emergency visit.
To the Moon.
Yes, trying to get clearance to go without saying *too* much, even in SHIELD, is difficult. Fortunately, it isn't like Jemma is without help. It does help to have a 'moon princess' as a best friend. And, when Jemma starts to throw scientific jargon, eyes tend to glaze over and authority given. Yes, Jemma likes to follow the rules, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know how to bend those rules for her favor.
The problem at hand? An empty suitcase on a table in her quarters, awaiting clothing and whatever equipment she would need.
What does one wear to walk on the moon, anyways?
- Daisy Johnson has posed:
It's already been established that Daisy is a woman of -action-.
Not someone to linger and theorize about all the possibilities of what happened, or even why Jemma doesn't seem to remember anything about what they did to free Jane. What's important is that Jane seems to be finally waking up from her torment. And so a plan had been set in motion which Daisy had dubbed: 'Operation Moonraker'. Because they were spies. Doing spy stuff. Like sneaking onto the Moon and get the proper clearances. It helps that Daisy, being with the secret warriors and a liaison to Inhuman affairs, aids in that process, joined with the rapidfire technical jargon from Jemma. Teamwork!
"Hey!" That's Daisy, walking in without even knocking, a glance to the still empty suitcase, "Wheels up at 10." a brow quirking, "Empty suitcase still?" for her part Daisy has a backpack over her shoulders. Carrying light! But what does someone need to go to the Moon? Maybe she had come to the conclusion she didn't need that much.
"Excited to see her again?" This time her voice a touch softer as she walks to Jemma's side, resting a hand on her shoulder.
- Jemma Simmons has posed:
"Hello Daisy."
There is only one person that walks in without knocking. One person that half of the quarters is given to, even if she doesn't use it all the time. And only one person that Jemma knows would just walk in. There doesn't even need to be a glance behind to know. "Yes. I am experiencing difficulty in anticipating what I am going to need." It is apparent, from her last time on the Moon, in Attilan, that her presence was not necessarily a welcomed one. So therein lies the dilemma. "I am sorely tempted to include the portable laboratory, without the bodysuit. No need to disguise who I am." A reference to the Secret Warrior outfit she wears infrequently. The one Daisy has cheekily designated Jemma's 'Poppins' outfit. "But I should have something low-key. The residents of Attilan are not fond of humans at all. No need to draw attention to myself if at all possible."
What does goes into the suitcase, into a pocket, is the tablet. Then...yes, the small portable lab.
Then...maybe clothing. Very proper, very demure clothing.
The question is answered. The main question. "Yes. Extremely. To awaken suddenly. So many questions abound." Yes, Jemma has no idea what part she might have played. Such was her price paid in her part.
- Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Bring a gun too. For Maximus." Daisy nodding her head a couple of times in a sagely manner. "I just wonder the kind of ruckus that guy is pulling now." and that worries her to a degree that she is feeling the urgency of -going- as soon as possible.
"And of course you should bring it. I am bringing mine." Easy for Daisy to say since her 'suit' is mostly her SHIELD uniform with just some armored parts underneath. It also is a symbol that she knows the other Inhumans will recognize, though she hadn't exactly realized they would be looking at Jemma as a human, "I will be with you all the time." the hand on Jemma's shoulder squeezing it briefly before she lets go, eyes following the various pieces of clothing being put inside the case.
"We will need to be there, in case she wakes up and is disoriented. I wonder how much she remembers..." she exhales.
"You still don't remember a thing?" some hope to her voice, but it's very minor.
- Jemma Simmons has posed:
The reminder of a gun brings Jemma back. "Oh, yes. Him. He did have a rather unhealthy obsession with me, didn't he?" And, with that, in goes the ICER pistol.
And, after a brief pause of consideration, the green bodysuit as well. "Well...if you really think I need it." Jemma has her doubts as to how much she will really need her 'superhero' costume, but if Daisy says so...then there must be a reason. "I understand. I can handle it, of course. Though yes, there may be just a touch of prejudice. Completely understandable."
Not necessarily welcomed, but understandable. Even if they both know that Jemma isn't exactly a straight run-of-the-mill human anymore.
"I am not sure what she would remember. If the conjoining of soul and body is complete, she should remember all. Even our failed attempts at conjoining." Laying down in a cryotube? Yeah...not one of Jemma's better ideas.
"I am not sure what you mean. Remember what?" Yup....no memory there at all.
- Daisy Johnson has posed:
Pressing her lips to a thin line Daisy bobs her head in agreement at Jemma's talk of Maximus, "That's an understatement.." she murmurs, "I mean .., he iiiisss sort of cute." Oh, Daisy, "If only he wasn't a psycho." Daisy does seem to have a penchant to go for the crazy hot ones. Maybe she has a type. Yet all this talk seems to serve a purpose of putting the two of them a bit more at ease at the important mission ahead of them. One they have been working for years now.
"I am not sure if that's a good thing or a bad one..." Jane remembering everything, "But she is one of the strongest women I know so ..." she taps Jemma's shoulder again and takes a step back, frowning when the scientist again confirms her complete lack of memory about everything.
"The rescue ... We have been through this. It's just .., I know I didn't dream all that happened. You were there, and so was Blackagar, and Jessica. Well, we will figure it out." she looks at her watch.
"Our ride is arriving reaaaaallly soon." Hold up, what does Daisy means by *their* ride? Who's picking them up from the moon?
- Jemma Simmons has posed:
Oh...that. "I did tell you, Daisy. I do not know what you are talking about. It sounds very much like a bad retelling of the Wizard of Oz, or some other fantasy story. Like I would end up in the Underworld or something like that." A head shake. "Finding fragments of Jane. While I do not doubt you, I simply do not believe I was there. I have absolutely no recollection of anything to the fact."
For a person who seeing is believing, it may be heart breaking, but understandable, that Jemma is not necessarily on board with the whole Underworld thing. She has absolutely nothing that rings true to her. No dream, no memory...nothing that remotely even hints at an extra-planar journey.
It is a terrible price to pay...but Jemma did, all the same.
With a shrug, Jemma completes her preparation, throwing in some rather nondescript clothing in before closing the suitcase, no bigger than a carry-on, if that. "Well, we won't know what she remembers until we ask her. We can only hope she is well and truly herself. She did go through an awful lot of trauma."
Then...a glance back. "Wait. Who is picking us up? Lockjaw, I presume?" Yes, Jemma remembers Lockjaw....one of the few Inhumans that liked her.
- Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Ding ding ding! We have a winner." Daisy winks back at Jemms once she figures out who it is that is going to bring them up to the Moon. It's the best option in the end considering the trip will be instant. And they have no time to waste.
"Alright, got all you needed?" She takes the closing of the suitcase as a yes, hooking her arm under Jemma's to lead them out.
It was time to go to the Moon. And finally get the answers they were looking for.
