Cast of Characters: Lucia Jiminez, Glamour

Lucia Jiminez has posed:
Lucia is running, fast, through the park at night. A small frog hops some distance ahead of her, "ribbit", "ribbit", as if to troll her attempts to catch up to it! Lucia tries to call out, "Hey! What is it that you said before? You said something about my hoard of treasures! Have you been in my home?! Please just waiiit!"

She isn't exactly an athlete, and she's getting tired. This frog is actually very, very fast...

Glamour has posed:
It wasn't too long ago that Glamour was in Central Park, minding her own business (watching people) when one of the many hedge mages in New York City showed up at her doorstep (the tree she was sitting in) letting them know that a 'Lucia' had a very important need for some faerie dust. Naturally, out of of the goodness of her heart (being threatened with being put in a bottle and tossed in the Hudson) she agreed to help her dear old friend (someone who she technically did something bad to at one point but he really did kind of deserve it) after which he assures they'll be square (until the next time he needs something and can guilt trip her). She got a general location in Gotham and with an eagerness to help out (get away from this guy, he smells like Old Spice and that's the worst) she quickly departed. She's flown to Gotham before, once or twice really, and is grateful she's tiny and fast. With a twirl and some dust, she leaves a little streak of blue light and sparkles as she marks the path.

Alas, she must rely on her familairity with the route, her own sense of direction, and not getting distracted by something on the route -- all things she is reliably good at screwing up in one way or another. They don't make faerie sized GPS, after all, so all she's got is the graffiti laden highway signs, examples of which include 'JOKES ON YOU", for GOTHAM EXIT, 15M, 41.

"Ha, that's where you're wrong, graffiti! The joke is ALWAYS on me. F-M-L as the kids today say."

A little while after her verbal sparring with a highway exit sign, which she assures herself she decisively won, she arrives in the city of Gotham.

Upside: Plenty of cool gargoyles to light on.
Downside: "Holy shit it stinks here," says Glamour, wrinkling her nose. Still, she has a general vicinity to explore to find a person of a particular description and, when you can fly this fast, it doesn't take to long to find the park and thus the girl in it, running after something. The tiny little nimbus of light -- the glow surely more visible than she is -- descends in front of her a short distance away to make a dramatic entrance.

"BEHOLD," she squeaks, "I HAVE ARRIVED."

That probably sounded more impressive in her head, given that she's incredibly tiny and it makes her sound ridiculous.

Realizing this, she clears her throat and instead embraces her magic, fueling a more impressive, louder and more commanding voice to appear, all deep contralto husk. "BEHOLD," she tries again, "I HAVE ARRIVED."

"That's better," she says, returning too her more normal tone of voice.

Lucia Jiminez has posed:
Lucia suddenly stops running, like all heels in the dirt, kinda, and nearly trips over a rock as Glamour makes herself known. The frog is still hopping away and will never be found again.. most likely.

But for now, Lucia is very curious, and actually a bit wary about this new presence. Yes she did try to set up a meeting with a certain faerie, but she wasn't told how said faerie would make her presence known.

As such Lucia is left scratching her head as she turns around, and sees a very small being, and yeah.. derp. It's probably her!

"Right! Yes.. I was chasing that frog because it spoke to me. Not exactly something you come across on a regular basis.." She laughs nervously, and then clears her throat, "But yeah.. are you Glamour?"

Glamour has posed:
"Did it start singing 'Hello my darling' at you?" asks Glamour, a mix of skepticism and curiousity blending together in her voice. Call it skeptiousity -- Glamour sure would. "I am very skeptious about that!" See?

"Yeah, wait, you ARE this 'Lucia' right? Because a very insistent -- and smelly -- associate of mine told me that you had an important need for some faerie dust and I was at hand to supply it." She does a little twirl and when she hears her name, stops and fixes her attention on her, suppressing the bright blue glow that suffuses her presence so that she can be more visible to the naked eye, instead of a floating ball of light with buzzing wings attaced.

"That's my moniker, yeah. So you are Lucia. Sup?"

Lucia Jiminez has posed:
Lucia Jiminez is star struck, basically, but she's able to contain herself for the most part, "Yes! I am.. I'm Lucia!" She calms down several notches, clearing her throat again, "I've never met one of the fair folk before. Please forgive my excitement, it might seem odd to you, but really I never thought I'd.. yeah."

She pulls down her shirt a bit, even though it was already across her pants as it was, just a fidget honestly, "I was hoping that you'd be willing to supply me with a bit of your dust. I'm a witch, I make potions, and I would like to have a bit of dust to keep just in case it's needed. I will only use a tiny amount of what you give me to test reactions to other ingredients. The rest? I'll only use if absolutely needed.

Her expression turns serious, "Look I know it's probably a lot to ask.." Although it may or may not be, but what does Lucia know? She continues, "But I heard about you from some other practicioners and I am guessing one of them reached out to you. I know I'm literally asking you to give part of yourself as an ingredient but like.. it could save someone.. some day."

She sighs and scratches her head again, "Look I am terrible at socializing. I just wanted to ask, probably could have done it in fewer words honestly.."

Glamour has posed:
"Eehh, yeah, I guess that's me," answers Glamour of the fair folk. The tiny little faerie is dressed in a simple yet elegant gown that obscured her feet. It's technically an illusion at the mooment. She brings her hair back over a pointy ear and then folds her arms across her chest.

"... you ... you just want to have some. For Reasons. I am going to cover him in spiders, he said it was important. Yeah, sure. You can have some. He says you're good, you're good, even if I am gonna yank him by the fucking pony tail next time I see him." Her exclamation comes with little poofs of fairy dust.
% "ERRRRGH," A frustrated sound, to be sure. "Anyway, yeah. Sure. You got something to hold it in or what?"

Lucia Jiminez has posed:
Lucia Jiminez quickly pulls out a medium sized pouch, "I don't expect you to fill it up, I just didn't want to.. yeah. I'm over prepared for sure!" She doesn't comment on the rest of it, because she has no idea what her contact said, and truth be told that guy probably embellished.. sucks to be him..

She winces, "Thank you though! I will take this seriously, what you are giving me is not something to take lightly, and I understand that. It could be a long time before I find it fit to use this dust. Even if the knowledge I gain is the end of it.. thank you."

And she means it, she really does, this dust may never be used at all in a potion, and Lucia's expression clear reads as such, she doesn't want this dust for power. She just wants it for a bit of knowledge and a "just in case." Of course you can't say quite that much from a mere expression. But Lucia doesn't want to drag this out anymore than need be.

"Even if I never use your dust in a potion, it's knowledge. My point is that I do not see what you give me as some fanciful, whimsical thing, it's literally a part of you."

She frowns, "I wouldn't take it if you were not willing to give it. Power isn't the point, knowledge is, and if your dust can do good some day, then it will. I know that you don't even know me, but I care about these trees, this grass, that frog I was chasing, and all the wilds on this planet. I care about those things first, but I do care about people, and people are flawed.."

She sighs, "They are a case by case basis really, especially if what they need requires this dust.." She hopes that her point is well made, "I hope that my words at least somewhat ease your concerns.." She holds out her bag, not expectantly, it's a slower gesture, one that gives Glamour the chance to just pour it all out on the ground really.

Glamour has posed:
Glamour listens. She listens to it all.

Or at least she gives the appearance of listening, anyway. In reality, she's kind of checked out at about the halfway mark and did a lot of 'mhmms' and 'uh huhs' as Lucia spoke.

"Oh, uh. Yeah, no. I believe you. It's all good. You seem like you mean well. Just remember that this dust falling into the wrong hands would be bad. It is potent stuff! So make sure you keep it secret, keep it safe."

She gets a big smile as if to say 'see what I did there?'

"Anyway," she continues, "we're good. Just remember you owe me one now, too." She taps her nose with her pointer finger, points at her eyes with two fingers, and then points them at her in turn.

Lucia Jiminez has posed:
Lucia Jiminez nods quickly, not even realizing that Glamour wasn't listening for part of her speech, she smiles and accepts what she is given, "Yes of course! The guy who contacted you on my behalf told me that this wasn't for free, that you would require a favor later on. I understand."

She smiles, "I keep all of my ingredients safe, but this dust will be protected before anything else. I'll be keeping it in an even more secure spot."

Glamour has posed:
Another little twirl follows.

She zips over towards the pouch in question now that she's sure and hovers over it with her brightly colored wings buzzing behind her. Little bits of dust spark off her -- along her wings as well - with some trepidation. There's a pause and then she starts giving herself a little shake over it. Dust begins to fall ooff her. Soome of it misses the mark, sending poofs of it in all directions, but some alsoo makes it into the pouch in a glittery pile.

"Hooray. I glitter," mutters Glamour.

Lucia Jiminez has posed:
Lucia ties up the pouch, and absolutely does not comment about the amount givem, or the amount that fell on the ground. She genuinely smiles makes a hug motion in the air, but does not envelope Glamour. It's just a gesture, more of a "I would hug you but you're small" sort of thing.

"Thank you! I hope that we keep in touch, and not because I want more dust. I really do want to talk to you, under different circumstances, if that's okay with you."

Glamour has posed:
"...well, I mean, it's not like I have a phone," says Glamour, "but if you need to find me, I hang out in central park a whole lot and generally stick aroound New York. Gotham is kind of smelly, if I'm honest." She wrinkles her nose, does a little twirl in the air again, and throws her arms wide before her glow returns.

"Right. I should get back. Nice meeting you, Lucia! Have a LOVELY day. I have a pony-tailed wanna be magician to go assail with a horde of spiders."

Lucia Jiminez has posed:
Lucia Jiminez giggles, and laughs, "Right?! Seriously Gotham stinks, but unfortunately that's where I decided to go to university.. kinda thinking about droppong out honestly but.. I don't know. I guess I'll decide after the semester..."

"But yeah I figured you didn't exactly have a phone, or whatever. I just wanted your permission to seek you out, just to talk, not to ask for anything. I just want to be friends. I will still fulfill my end of our bargain here tonight as well. I just.. don't have any friends right now. I mean.. I've met some people. But I get this feeling from you in particular, that we might just be friend material. That's really it honestly. I'll give it a shot if you will!"

Glamour has posed:
"Stay in school, kid!" Glamour lectures. "Uh, yeah. If you wanna hang out with six inch tall fairy who can't change the channel, sure, we could do something like that maybe." She throws her arms wide in an expansive gesture of 'sure!'.

"And go find your frog!"

Lucia Jiminez has posed:
Lucia Jiminez smiles wide, "Yes I like you just the way you are, six inches tall and everything! And I like how you say things just the way it is, you don't sugar coat anything. Actually I could learn a few pointers from you. I'll look you up in Central Park next time, no need for you to come back to stinky Gotham!"
