Meeting in the Warehouse
Date of Scene: 11 March 2020
Location: Sheldon Park - Bleake Island
Synopsis: Rose Wilson and Jason Todd have a meeting in Jason's warehouse, and end up joining forces to take over Gotham.
Cast of Characters: Jason Todd, Rose Wilson

Jason Todd has posed:
The warehouse had been cleaned out by Gotham's finest, and someone seemed to have been nice enough to repair the ceiling and wall from the skirmish that had taken place. Jason, for his part, had paid for a few months worth of rent to the landlord here, which seemed to be the MO of the gang boss he had taken out on his first night here, and now the warehouse was all his. Unless Jenkins, poor sweet Jenkins, wanted to make a claim. But Red Hood would easily be able to tie that up if he wanted. Mostly by recruiting the cowardly man if he DID have the gumption to turn up looking for pay.

For now, however, Jason Todd has managed to turn the space into a bit of an office. A large wooden desk in the middle, other chairs and tables around to give him the look of legitimacy. If not for the red hood covering his face, he'd look like he's trying to run a legitimate business! However, today he IS in the market to do a little bit of business, and he can only hope that he's not bringing a bat-shaped rat into his midst in his hunt for a crew. For some reason, though, he has a good feeling about Rose.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Rose is hardly bat-shaped. Anyone that asks around about her could probably tell him that. Of course, that would mean that there would have had to have been a more traditional introduction, because there couldn't possibly only be one blonde with one eye in the city. Right?!

Either way, when Rose turns up at the location he mentioned last time she turns up armed and armored, unlike previously when she seemed to be playing the good girl out buying her guns.

Wiser individuals would stealithy sneak in, try to get a bead on things. Not Rose. She walks right in, calling out, "Heeellloooo.

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason, for his part when Rose walks in, has his feet kicked up on the desk, leaning back in a posh-looking leather chair. He seems to have no qualms about who might turn up today, seeming perfectly at ease. However, his hands are drifting lightly toward his jacket at all times, and when he hears the door open his hands immediately spring for his guns. However, the familiar voice has him easing back, grinning lightly as he swings out of the chair and stands up. "Part of me wondered if you'd show up." He leans on the desk, watching her with a fair bit of interest. "And looking the proper part, too. I respect it."

He dusts his jacket off, then gestures to one of the seats opposite him. Another posh-looking leather chair that seems to match the one he's favored for himself, as it happens, before returning to his own. "Have a seat. I've already swept the place for any bugs those damn heroes might've wanted to leave last time I was here."

Rose Wilson has posed:
There is a sweep of the area, which takes a moment longer since she has to crane her head a little further to get a look around. Then she begins to move towards him and his desk, "I wasn't sure if I was going to show up or not."

There's no shame in the answer, although there does seem to be some evidence of amusement in it. When she reaches the desk she slides the chair out, then back in, repositioning it a few times before she pulls the swords from her back, leaning them against her side of the desk before she sprawls in the chair, finally satisfied with the spot she placed it in. "Your offer got me curious, though. So here I am."

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason shrugs a bit. "Glad ya did, if I'm honest," he says, "Turns out the small squads outside the big gangs are goddamn useless." He shakes his head behind the hood, then sits up straight as Rose settles into her seat. "Seems you don't have any qualms at any range, huh?" he says, gesturing to the blades, before resting his hands on his desk.

"I don't blame ya for bein' skeptical. But I do appreciate that you at least are willin' to hear me out. So I'll cut to the chase, to not waste your time." He leans back, flipping his hands so his palms are up. "Gotham and the rest of the nation have a problem, and I'm lookin' to solve it and make myself, and my crew, a king's ransom in the meantime. Gotta start at home here, though, and that means consolidating the criminal element and neutralizing the 'hero' element." He smirks, and the amusement is clear in his voice. "I want to take out every major boss in Gotham. Make this city mine. Ours, if you want in. Then I wanna break the heroes, take 'em out if we gotta, and make people understand that only those willin' to do what has to be done deserve to have what we'll have."

Rose Wilson has posed:
A slow, sly smile spreads across her face at the question of range, "I'm good at every range." She agrees, then leans her head back against the chair, her eye closing as she listens to the rest of what he says. Every bit of her posture is at ease, relaxed as she listens, and then thinks about her own response to what his offer is.

After a moment of thought she opens her eye to focus back on him once more, the tip of her tongue sliding over her bottom lip before she leans forward to settle her forearms on the edge of the desk, "So let me get this straight...you are wanting to take out the bosses, and either convert or kill any of their people before taking down the heroes in Gotham...then branch outwards?" She tilts her head, then shrugs her shoulders, "I'm in."

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason chuckles a bit, then watches her with interest. What, he wonders, would she think of this plan of his? He knows that, regardless, he'll keep pushing forward. He has a scenario in his head for his personal revenge, but why not build himself an empire in the meantime? And then... well, what? With the sort of power and influence he'd have, what would be outside his ability to do? However, before he could do any of that, as much as he hates to reach out to even try and trust others, he knows he needs a crew.

When Rose responds, he chuckles again, leaning across the desk. "Just like that, huh?" he says, "Thought for sure you'd have more questions than that." He offers a hand out, aiming to seal the deal. "What's your name, then?" he asks, while his other hand reaches under the desk. She'd be able to hear a drawer opening, and might hear the clinking of glass as she does.

Rose Wilson has posed:
"You first." Rose says in response to the question about what her name is, a hand sliding across the desk to take the hand that he offers, her grip firm but not in that way of someone that needs to prove just how much stronger than someone else they are.

"But yeah, just like that." There is an easy, almost friendly smile at that, a glance straying in the direction of where his other hand went. "People can't keep waiting on someone to come in and save them, can't keep waiting for things to just be handed to them. Only those willing to take the risk deserve the reward, and I don't need some asshole in a cape telling me how terrible I am."

Jason Todd has posed:
Ah, there it was. He had a feeling he might in fact have to introduce himself at some point, and no doubt Rose her would not be satisfied with just his alias. He had, in some corner of his mind, pondered how he would handle such an event, and how he had decided may not be the best, but it was something to at least keep her on his side. "Out there? I'm the Red Hood. Nothin' else, less you wanna call me boss. But I know you ain't gonna be satisfied with all that, so just for you, and just when no one else is around?" He glances around side to side, then sighs a bit.

    "Name's Jason. Jason Todd."

Rose Wilson has posed:
It was bound to happen, right? What else was bound to happen is when he directs her to call him boss she laughs. Only a little. But there is still a laugh, and she does at least have the grace to not give him any lip about calling him boss.

Instead she leans towards him, standing up from the chair so that she can lean over the desk, her hand releasing his so that she can reach out to point towards the mask, "And your face? If we're to be friends....we should be friends." She almost forgets to return the introduction, almost.

"Rose Wilson. But out there I'm Ravager."

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason blinks from behind the mask, nodding a bit slowly. "Friends. Yeah, guess I did say that, huh? Fine, but again, this doesn't leave here. All business on the outside." He reaches up and seems to click a couple of mechanisms under the hood, a small click accompanying the action. The entire mask seems to dull slightly, as though some sort of power is being turned off, before he pulls it from his head and pulls it to his lap. He shakes his head a bit, then reaches up and takes off the red domino-style mask he wears over his eyes as well before giving Rose a full on look.

His hair is black and wavy, falling to its natural state now that it's free of the mask. His eyes, a piercing blue, nonetheless sem far older and more wizened than his clear, young face would hint at. His features are chiseled and sharp, and he offers a small grin toward Rose as he inclines his head.

His other hand reaches down and finally produces contents from a drawer: a bottle of some manner or other of liquor and a couple of scotch glasses. "I do believe I mentioned drinks at our last encounter. Just to show I'm not all talk," he offers, pouring the rich amber liquid of the bottle into both glasses in equal measure. "There's a reason I keep all this under lock and mask, so ya know. But I guess a partnership's gotta be built up on trust, right?" He takes up a glass, offering a small toast gesture. "To what I hope ends up bein' a lucrative deal for both of us."

Rose Wilson has posed:
While he goes through the motions of getting the hood off, then the mask under it, Rose settles her elbows on the desk, her chin then finding her hands as she watches. Her full focus is on him, and his face, which gets a good amount of looking over before she smiles very slowly at him, amusement dancing in her own eye.

"Yeah, friends."

For whatever that sort of agreement might mean between the likes of them, at least. She reaches for one of the glasses when he picks up the other one, lifting it up in return before she takes a quick sip from it, then she slides back off the desk to settle back in her chair once more, "I'm all for sexy masks, but what are your reasons for wearing it?"

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason nods lightly, smiling over the desk at Rose before taking a pull from his glass. He's not quite used to the smooth burn, but he knows he can certainly grow to be a whiskey sort of guy in time. He rolls his shoulders a bit, then sets the glass down and sets the hood onto the desk. He lets his eyes linger on her face for a long moment, then frowns slightly at her question.

"Let's just say that I need to keep just who I am under wraps, and there are elements in this city who'd be able to try and put the kibash on our plans immediately if they learned it was me. That, and it makes my negotiations a lot easier if people don't know what I look like, ya know? Adds to the mystery if all they know is the Red Hood." He smirks a bit playfully at her. "I mean, you tell me. What cuts the more intimidating figure? An unknown face and a blank red mask, or this?"

Rose Wilson has posed:
"Intimidating figure?" Rose considers the question, and debates her answers before she kicks her heels up onto the edge of the desk, a hand reaching into a pocket to pull out a slightly crumpled soft pack of cigarettes. "I'd say for sheer disconcerting intimidation, the blank bucket does the job. No expression, no features. Means no one can tell what you're really thinking."

One finger taps on the pack until the slightest bit of a filter peeks forward, her teeth catching it before she continues speaking around it, "Can't say that I don't like this, too. But it would make it easier to find you, a face, a name, a past...Good idea to keep it all under wraps. Should I be expecting anyone specifically to come put a kibosh on our plans, or not worry my pretty little head over it yet?"

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason chuckles a bit, then nods. "Exactly. Easier to go under the name Red Hood as a moniker than spreading my real name out there." He rolls his shoulders and leans back in his seat, taking another sip from his glass before pulling the bottle over for a refill. Rose makes herself comfortable, and he chuckles again, nodding lightly to himself. "Been awhile since I've had a partner backin' me up. Once we get more of a crew together, we'll work on profit splits, but for now, fifty fifty. You wanna do work on the side? Fine, just make sure it ain't hurtin' our ventures any. My first plan is to take out the big names in this area, Falcone and Sionis. Once we take the Cauldron, we can spread out across the city and make ourselves more known." As she pulls out a cigarette, he watches her movements with a sort of fascination.

"Well, as much as I like not havin' my voice masked in certain company, the Hood stays in place until we hit a critical point. As for specific people? Not really. Gonna have to deal with heroes of all stripes judging by the welcome I got my first night back in town, but I figure the Batman and the big crime bosses are gonna want our heads once we start rollin'. So those would be who I'd watch for. If we can weaken the hero base of the surrounding areas, the thugs should be a cake walk."

He smirks over at Rose, then raises his glass again. "I take it you don't call yourself Ravager for nothin'. I want that sort of reputation from the get-go. I want 'em to associate one word with us: ruthless. Because that's the only way to do what we wanna get done."

Rose Wilson has posed:
A lighter is pulled out and she lights the cigarette before holding the pack up between her fingers in silent offer in case he wants one, then she leans forward to grab the glass off the desk again before she leans her head back against the chair.

"I need to relocate from where I'm staying, so I'll find myself a place in the area. Better for work, anyways, to be closer." She takes a careful, smaller, sip from the glass before glancing around slowly, eye scanning the walls, then the ceiling before settling back on his face, "Falcone, Sionis...Sounds like a fun time to me."

Ruthless, though. That makes her smile again, the expression less friendly and more toothy, "I took the name from the old Ravager." Which might or might not be that intimidating. "I killed him. He was my uncle."

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason declines the cigarette with a wave of his hand, then nods lightly. "Pretty low-cost stuff around here. You can even stay in the warehouse here if you need time findin' somethin'. I've got a cheap-ass place around the corner, mostly just to keep my gear safe from any pryin' eyes. And shower." He rolls his shoulders again, then smirks. "Should be pretty straightforward, and probably enough to draw the eyes of the bigger fish in the Gotham fishtank. Once we do that, we can pick and choose our targets when they come to claim our turf. Once we have enough ground, we can spread to Metro and New York, and if we get all three of those? Well, ain't no one stoppin' us. But for now, yeah. Falcone and Sionis should be easy marks. Hit their warehouses and stop their underground trade, then take them over when they try and move against us."

He smirks again, draining his glass before he puts the domino mask back in place. After that, the hood slips back on, seeming to grow brighter ever so slightly from the outside as it slips into place and the tech inside fires back up. "It's just us for now, but I want to get some street-level threats going. Mooks, basically, to cover what we do in the background. A lot of these gang bosses don't seem to like to get their hands dirty directly, and I? Well, I'm gonna be right in the thick of things. Sitting back and watching is a waste of my time, and yours. So. If you need help gettin' settled in, let me know. Other than that..." He slides a phone over to her from inside his jacket. "There's your work phone. Has my number programmed in."

Rose Wilson has posed:
The cigarettes get tucked into the pocket that she took them from before she downs the contents of the glass. The phone that he produces causes a laugh, "So sure that I'd show up you bought me a phone?"

Rose sets the glass down before she gets to her feet, reaching down to scoop the phone up from the desk to slide into another pocket, "I might crash here until I find a place." Probably because it's cheaper then even the cheap places around here, and allows her to be in the middle of home base, as it were. "But you are more than welcome to help me get settled in, Red. Won't turn it down at all."

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason chuckles again. "If you hadn't, it would've been easy enough to hold onto until I did find someone to work with. But I had a good feelin' about you showing up." He leans back, once more hidden behind his opaque mask and grinning a bit behind it. "'Sides, it's easier to stay in contact if we're out and about on the town on separate missions, yeah?" He rolls his shoulders again, then nods as she states she'll stay in the warehouse. "Good choice. Rent's already paid for the next few months, and the landlord ain't one to ask questions. He's pretty sure he knows what's goin' on here, or at least what was before I took over." He makes a gesture toward the back of the warehouse, where there seems to be a couple of office spaces behind metal doors. "Have a bed set up in each one of those rooms back there. Nothin' fancy, of course, but servicable in case any of the crew need to stay on site. Feel free to add your own touches." At her second comment, though, he quirks a brow behind the mask. "Yeah? And what, might I ask, could I do to help?" His voice is playful, though he does seem to be watching her from behind the mask now.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Rose glances towards the rooms, or offices, in back when he draws her attention towards them, "I don't need anything fancy...just a room, ceiling, and a place to lay down." She takes a drag from the cigarette, then drops it into the empty glass that she set down on the desk before smiling at him, leaning forward to rest one hand on the desk, "If you really want to know, and you really want to help, be here when I get back. I've a few things I need to go pick up, just those little touches that'll make everyone feel right at home, you know."

Jason Todd has posed:
Jason nods. "Well, those should fit your purposes perfectly, then," he says, "Pick whichever. I'll take one as my personal quarters in case we have any late nights," he says, "Which, until we get fully ingrained I'd imagine will happen quite often." He watches her drop her cigarette into the glass, then turns to focus on her fully when she speaks up again. "Sure, of course. I ain't plannin' on goin' anywhere immediately anyway. Been here all day getting this all set up, after all." He chuckles for her benefit, letting her here the play in the sound as he nods and stands up.

He reaches into his jacket, pulling out a key and tossing it to her. "Keep a hold of that tight. I like to keep this place locked up."

Rose Wilson has posed:
"I imagine there will be a whole lot of late nights, even after things begin rolling along." Rose straightens up before she moves to pick up the swords that she'd sat down earlier, settling them on her back just in time to catch the key that he tosses in her direction.

The key is then tucked away, her hand patting it, "Nice and safe." She assures him before she turns to begin heading towards the door, tossing over her shoulder, "I'll see you in a few then, Red."
