Date of Scene: 21 July 2021
Location: Addams Estate
Synopsis: Bobbi and Lance Addams now own property 10 minutes out of Salem. A house with access to the lake. Some maintenance required (and a mini fridge).
Cast of Characters: Bobbi Morse, Lance Hunter

Bobbi Morse has posed:
The sold sign hammered in to the ground sits in front of the lot. Bobbi pulls up on her bike and kicks out the stand. She dismounts and walks over to Lance, placing her helmeted forehead to his. Fishing in to her pocket she takes out a set of keys and proceeds to unlock the iron gates the lock the driveway closed.

This property isn't quite the same as the one in the framework. There it had been kept well. This one - abandoned due to its previous owners going bankrupt. The grass are overgrown and the pathways aren't kept well. The house hasn't been lived in for years.

Remounting her bike she drives down the gravel driveway to the garage and front door. "Welcome home honey. It's not too much of a fixer-upper. You might want to by one of those sit on mowers though." Because there's no way she's doing the lawns.

Lance Hunter has posed:
Hunter rests his helmeted head against Bobbi's before holding on for the final drive to the house itself. "Helluva place Bobs," he says as they stop and he takes off his helmet. Even if the version that existed in the Framework wasn't exactly the same, seeing the place in reality made it all the more impressive, and more than that it was theirs.

Looking at the grass he remarks, "Might need a bloody flamethrower to start with," he remarks, with a smirk. "And great, always wanted to mess around with one of those riding mower things."

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi takes off her helmet and slides off the bike. She reaches in to her other jacket pocket and tosses him a bundle of keys. "No furniture here yet," she says as she approaches the front door and unlocks it. "And I figured you'd enjoy riding around on a mower," she says with a grin.

The entry hall opens up quickly in to the large space where Bobbi and her dog Hunter had a lounge room, dining table. An open kitchen fronting on to it. The fireplace is empty. "The guy that built this place invested in some weird new kind of plastic from the Netherlands. It fell through. His loss our gain."

She walks over the floor boarded large empty space, the foot falls echoing. "Well.. what do you think?," she asks with open arms.

Lance Hunter has posed:
"Do I get to give it a Union Jack paint scheme and a horn that plays 'Hail Brittania'?" he asks with a grin about the mower. And she was right he would enjoy riding around on the thing.

The keys are pocketed and when the door is opened he looks around and lets out a low whistle. "Yeah, I'd say," he says of the previous owner's loss being their gain. "This might get me to shut up about wanting a Spanish villa," he says with a grin.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi chuckles at that monstrosity Lance describes. "Uh huh.. as if you'd be bothered to put in that kind of effort on a lawn mower." It's a gamble she's willing to take. She walks back over to him and takes his hand, "Come on come see the bedroom."

That's not the invitation it sounds like. The master bedroom is upstairs and is empty. Walk in wardrobe and ensuite though. "We're not made of money. Well unless you were far more successful as a merc than you're letting on. This is the only real asset I've bought in the real world with real money... it's a strong legit resource registered under Addams."

Lance Hunter has posed:
Hunter grins, "Can pay someone to do it," he says of the mowing monstrosity before he takes her hand and goes upstairs. True it wasn't the invitation he was expecting but it was good to see what they had to look forward to. "Well, I do have a bit of money saved up if you want to me to split the cost of the place," he volunteers as he tours around the empty room and peeks into the wardrobe. "Think we could store the Mockingbird suite in here?" he jokes peeking back out and making his way back to Bobbi's side. "The place is amazing Bobs, and," he smirks. "Guessing that's Addams with two D's huh?" what could he say? They liked that show and the movies.

Bobbi Morse has posed:
"I figured we'd have a slide pole installed to take us down to the secret lair where the Mockingbird plots her daring capers...," she says with a small smirk about where her gear can go. She walks over to the large window and looks out over the unkept grass leading to the lake. Far out on the water there are boats sailing about leisurely. There's a small dock at the end of the property.

"This is how I kept my sanity in there Lance. All the times I doubted everything. I was conditioned to be hard - this is where I came to be soft. I need this space in my life. But I want to share it with you this time."

She nods her head glancing back at him, "Two D's. Mr. Addams."

Lance Hunter has posed:
"Classic, I like it," Hunter quips about the pole before he follows Bobbi to the window, standing at her side looking out at the boats and the tranquility of the lake.

He slips his hand in hers if she'll let him. "Makes sense, crazy place like that you'd need a place to just let it all go," when she tells him he she wants to share it with her this time, he smiles and seeks Bobbi's eyes with his own. "Guess we both have a place for that now," he says before adding. "Thank you." and squeezing her hand. "For sharing this place with me, it'll be the perfect spot to just be us when the world here is being it's usual, and only slightly less crazy than the Framework self," he remarks earnestly but with a healthy dash of Lance's humour. "Guess we'll need some proper cover documents done, unless you'll already got them done up?"

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi nods her head and squeezes his hand back. She smirks, "Of course I've already got them done." She rolls her eyes and grins at him. "I guess I have it in my head that all I did in that place was evil. But I'm starting to realise that all I really did was survive. I remember how hollow I felt after you died. For a while I just focused on my work but the conditioning wears off after a while and once that happened I saw the life I was in, the hole I'd dug, I felt trapped. Here.. I wasn't trapped."

Lance Hunter has posed:
Lance grins, "Should have known," he says of the documents being done. "Is my first name Gomez and does my picture have a mustache?" he teases with a grin, almost sounding hopeful despite it being utterly ridiculous and bad fieldcraft besides.

Hunter turns leaning against the window sill to look back at Bobbi, giving her hand one more squeeze before letting go. "Must have been horrible," he says looking up at her. "I can imagine needing a place like this just to deal with it all, a little spot cut off from everything else."

Hunter makes a face after a second. "And of course then I show up and muck the whole thing up, sorry about that Bobs, I was just desperate to find you and this seemed like the better spot than the Trisk with all of HYDRA looking on."

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi smiles, "Lance Addams. I'm Bobbi Addams. I kept it simple." She shrugs her shoulders a touch and says, "It was what it was. You don't really have any other reference to lean on. The whole time I thought, well, this is saving lives. These Inhumans are a small price to pay for everybody else. One little kid killed so many people and it sparked a national outcry."

She nods to Lance and nudges his shoulder with hers, "Don't worry about it. I literally villain speeched at you.. not my proudest of moments." She lifts up a finger, "But you've got to admit, it was a pretty good villain speech."

Lance Hunter has posed:
Hunter grins "Perfect," he says about the names before he demeanor grows a bit more serious, his expression though is sympathetic. "Must have been horrible, but strangely logical, I mean we've all done that math on the fly take out a few dangerous people for the sake of everyone else," he says. "They just messed with the with your head so you came to the wrong conclusions about who the targets were."

There's a bit of a smile about the villain speech, "It was a pretty good villain speech if that's any help," he says. ":And besides that wasn't really you, Bobs and I don't blame you for any of it."

Bobbi Morse has posed:
She shakes her head, "Don't say that Lance. That was really me. Just.. a me on the very edge. It wasn't me that pulled the trigger and killed you. But everything after that. That was me, raw, doing what she had to to survive and protect people."

"You know, even now, there were Inhumans that we took out that weren't just innocent, weren't just fighting for their survival. Some of them were real monsters, they genuinely just wanted to hurt people. One of them,.. I looked him up here. Jiaying refuse to let him have terrigenesis. So I know.... I know it was me doing those things."

Lance Hunter has posed:
Lance is silent for a moment, considering Bobbi's words. "I don't see the connection..." Hunter says. "You putting down some asshole Inhumans and it being you. I mean sure you'd do the same thing here too, but figured it was 'the only good Inhuman was a dead one' with ol' HYDRA in the Framework. "So wasn't like you had a choice of targets, unless I'm missing something?"

Bobbi Morse has posed:
She shakes her head, "No. You've got it. That's how I know it was me. There was no love lost on Inhumans after a while. We kept running in to those willing to do harm. Seems making them the enemy made them more desperate of course. The longer HYDRA hunts them down here the more likely that outcome too..."

Lance Hunter has posed:
Hunter nods, "Right push their backs to the wall and suddenly the guys who weren't going to get changed are just the monster your people need to fight back, 'cept I'm sure HYDRA just turned around and used that to ramp up the hate," he says before he stops theorizing about the Framework and ges to the here and now. "Right, so we need to make protecting the Inhumans a priority or the ones in the real world might feel the need to do the same thing, yeah?"

Bobbi Morse has posed:
She nods her head. "Yep. You've got it. Daisy was completely right to want to get SHIELD involved. But so was Jiaying and the Inhuman's in Attilan. Staying away from the human world avoids that problem. But I think that ship has sailed. Now we need to look after them."

It's a weird conversation for Bobbi, given 'them' is also her. She says, "We're going to need to go furniture shopping." Suddenly, the mundanity of owning a house is settling back in. Mowing the lawn, filling the rooms with things. She smiles. "And then a house warming party. Apparently people want to celebrate us getting married."

Lance Hunter has posed:
"Well whatever I can do to help your people Bobs, you know I'll do it," Hunter promises. "For your sake and theirs."

As they turn back to the plans for the house he nods, "Yeah, a bed would be a good place to start," he says of furnishings looking at the big empty space in the bedroom. "Then a couch to watch marbles on... and a new TV since my last one is still working undercover," he smirks at that.

"Well we'll have to throw one big party for it all then, maybe get them to help move in whatever furniture we buy while we're at it," he ads with a smile. "Fair trade don't you think? A party in exchange for manual labour?"

Bobbi Morse has posed:
Bobbi grins at that, "And a fridge for the beer." She nods at his play, "Yes. We can buy a bunch of Ikea stuff and get people to help assemble it too." She says and pushes off the window sill. "Let's head in to town. Salem's only ten minutes away and I'm hungry for a good burger. You know, a real one, not one made out of pixels and digital lies."

Lance Hunter has posed:
"Definitely," Hunter agrees. "Maybe if we're going all out a mini fridge for the living room, to reduce the pause time on marbles," he adds, smiling about the IKEA idea, "Think it's overkill to have Fitz do it? We might end up with flying furniture or something."

He rises from the window sill at the mention of food. "Sounds good, Harry's?" he asks. "You can give him hell for his Framework counterpart helping me find this place."
