ARGUS

ARGUS is the shorthand for Advanced Research Group United Support. It is a directorate of the DEO that utilizes metahuman assets to support their operations. It is currently headed by the formidable Amanda Waller, who manages black-bag assets like Task Force X as well as better-known assets produced by projects like the CADMUS directorate. The DEO reports directly to the White House and Congress, so directorates like ARGUS are kept a closely-guarded secret in government and civilian circles.

ARGUS is the operational arm of the DEO. Their broad mandate of 'defending and intercepting' dangerous metahumans has over the years evolved into an ambitious purview of all things relating to metahumans as well as alien incursions.
