Atomic Robo was one of the first synthetic life forms ever built on Earth. The brilliant Nikolai Tesla produced Atomic Robo from his Zero-Point Energy module, a rare success that proved near-impossible to duplicate.
Robo first became operational in 1938. The android developed self-awareness and spent a great deal of time fighting Nazis. He was active well into the last days of the war as an irregular member of the Justice Defenders.
In particular he travelled to Lemuria and the lost Celestial bio-research station there, heading off the Nazi invasion. Atomic Robo was lost with the rest of that expedition.
