FWOOMPH!

The cushions of the sofa cave in as the weight of one Michael Hannigan hits it. The overnight bag he brought back with him has an even less ceremonious landing.

Wade tilts his head, looking over from his laptop. "You know, if you're that tired you could just go to bed."

Mike grumbles, rolling on to his side. "It's in the same fucking room, Wade, it's not going to make much difference except make me climb a ladder."

Wade considers the roommate and then looks to the screen. There's a slight hurm. "Busy two weeks. Huh?"

"Yeah."

"Friends?"

"Yeah."

"...Going to tell me what you were doing?"

Mike lies still, keeping his eyes closed. The prodding feeling of the elder man's stare acts as an annoying reminder of the question. Causing for the musician to grumble. "No."

"Mike...I know they're friends but you've got to consider if th-"

A slight moan of discontent interrupts the condo owner. "I'm tired, Wade. Can we just give it a rest til Morning?"

"Then you'll answer my questions?"

"...You get one."

"Three.'

"Two." Wade counters, turning his head to the loft bed, "...And you sleep in your bed instead of on the sofa."

Mike rolls on his back, lip curling back in response to the roomie. "If it will make you shut up, then yes!"

In the quickest of exchanges, a bargain is struck. After the younger resident moves to his bed, Wade does let Mike sleep. After all, he did get his desired terms agreed to. Wade was always the better negotiator.

He does make a few additional considerations for the roommate. Relocating the laptop to the kitchen area so the light he needed could be obscured by the privacy wall. The corner Mike's bed was nestled into allowed for just enough shading to prevent the beams from hitting the rocker's face.

When the sounds of steady sleep enters his ears, Wade gets up slowly. Quietly he inches over to the discarded overnight bag and gently opens it. An item is palmed and carried over to the kitchen table.

While Mike sleeps, a tally is made of the contents of the orange bottle.
