Profile
Karima Shapandar is a national of the Republic of India and was a police officer. Captured and experimented on by unknown agents, she has been rebuilt as a prototype Sentinel and released. Along the way she has killed a number of Interpol Agents and performed numerous terrorist attacks against her will. Overrides built within her can force her to act against her own will at the push of a button by this unknown agency.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1992: Born in New Dehli Slums
* Born in poverty to a lower caste, has hard childhood. Parents instilled within her a drive for education. Caught in the constant roughness on the streets, wants to do little more than get out of there.
* 2004: Manages to steal identity cards and uses them to get into a better school. Is caught, but the school's enforcement officer is impressed by her drive to better herself, so she is allowed to remain at the school.
* 2006: Becomes best friends with Neal, the son of the enforcement officer. This allows her further access to better education access than someone from a poor New Dehli family could ever imagine.
* 2008: Her advanced intelligence and initiative get her to a training program setup by the Indian National Police
* 2014: After several years within the Indian National Police, gains a degree in crimonology from Calcutta
* 2020: Rises in ranks of Indian National Police, starts working with Interpol with a focus on corruption in national governments.
* 2022: As a favor to the man who got her access to education, Karima takes on an investigation involving highly corrupt governmental authorities working with terrorist groups. These authorities are, unknown, working with an unknown group developing advanced Sentinel prototypes. This group captures Karima, and she is used as an experimental subject by them. Goes missing.
* 2024: Experimentation is finished, is released by the group or escapes activity. Cybernetically enhanced as a prototype of an unknown type of Sentinel. Her first actions upon her awakening are for her to slaughter several Interpol officers, members of the task force investigating the governmental corruption, her friend Neal, and the man who uplifted her from a poor girl with no future in the New Dehli slums.
* 2025: On the run, wanted for murder, in hiding, and desperately trying to find out what was done to her and find justice.

Personality
Direct:
Karima is rather direct most of the time. She would rather get to the point in things and hates wasting time. She does not do well with small talk or without an immediate activity to perform. Purely social functions are an irritant to her and she will say as much. She speaks opinions of people and events freely, though she has the sense to not do so when inappropriate. She will also take the initiative when others won't to give out orders or instructions.
Guarded:
Karima tends to be very wary about telling others about herself. She shares minimal personal information without almost coercion. Due to how she grew up, and the experiments performed on her, this is quite understandable. This sometimes can come across as paranoia. But it's not paranoia if they're out to get you.
Street Smart:
Karima's learned how to take care of herself. Growing up in the slums, moving her way through school, becoming an officer, working with Interpol.. She's been through many different phases of life and has managed to work her way through all of them. She's very used to thinking on her feet and can adapt quickly. She takes the twists and turns and works with them.
Stubborn:
Karima is a very, very stubborn woman. She has shoved her way through many things in life and kept herself going out of pure willpower and sometimes just spite. Wanted for murder, a killer, and on the run she keeps going and doing things to survive, just because she can't give in and let the people who used her as a weapon win.

Powers
Cybernetics:
Karima's cybernetics give her a variety of abilities. She can easily fly at up to five hundred miles an hour but not supersonic. While doing so she can carry up to one ton with her. Her flight is based upon internal rockets rather than anti-gravity, so the more she carries the slower she is.
She has an extremely advanced internal sensor suite. She can track hundreds of separate individuals, can use telescopic and microscopic vision, enhanced hearing (to the ultrasonic) and scent equivalent to most advanced robots. She can operate within the entire visual spectrum. Her internal cameras can operate on a level comparable to most advanced military systems, allowing her to track and react to threats in a 360 degree radius.
She can hack most civilian and commercial computer networks so long as there is Internet access, though extremely encrypted or well defended systems are beyond her (such as those most military agencies and intelligence agencies would use). She can extend her sensor range significantly by hacking into smartphone networks, security cameras, etc. She has a limited capacity to 'jam' cameras and sensors that she primarily uses to obscure herself on cameras to make it harder to track her or identify her.
So long as there is Internet access at will she can continuously scan for data on most subjects that could be found somewhere with publically available networks. She can operate normally while doing so so long as she is not engaged in something which requires extensive focus (such as combat). Actively sorting through the data requires some degree of attention.
Her cybernetic enhancements have given her the ability to think and react several times faster than the normal human. She can track thousands of bullets and projectiles in a firefight and hundreds of participants in real time, is fast enough to catch and throw a conventional missile (such as a manpad) before it can detonate.
Defense:
Karima's body can harden itself to a carbon-fiber composite within a few seconds of combat being initiated, and is resistant to brute force of up to ten tons or small missile impacts. She is essentially immune to any type of gunfire and is resistant to energy weapons. She normally does this as soon as she is aware of a threat. This increases her density substantially.
She has a substantial force field that she can raise over herself and extending around her (admittedly no more than a meter in any direction) which recharges quickly. The shield can take impacts of up to a large missile (such as a small cruise missile) without breaking. However, she has to stay mostly immobile to use it and cannot take offensive acts while doing so as she has to divert all energy to it.
She can heal herself rapidly via nanites that can repair most damage to her body and internal injuries within several minutes. She cannot regrow limbs, but she can quickly reattach one that is cut off and it will be at full functionality within a short time. These nanites make her immune to most viruses and are capable of adapting and purging her of things which target electronics and cybernetics with time (if they are functional). If her electronics are shut down (by something like an EMP), they can normally jump start her within several minutes.
She is resistant to all but the most extreme temperatures and environments of a natural sort - she can fly through a normal wildfire without harm, resist extreme pressure underwater, or the vacuum of space. Extremes (such as plasma, superhot fire, cold guns) she is more resistant to but purely of her robotic nature and her ability to heal.
The nanites can recycle air and nutrients for her to a limited degree, allowing her to remain at high activity for several days if she pushes herself without having to eat or sleep. She can hold her breath for up to ten hours. However, this is very disorienting to her and she vastly prefers to operate on the normal schedule of a human (this is primarily psychological in nature).
Offense:
Her Sentinel physiology has given Karima a great number of ways to attack others. She is capable of easily lifting up to ten tons without too much strain, and can for very limited periods hold up to twenty but that is with putting all of her power and focus on doing so.
She can morph her hands into almost any type of technological based elemental weapon that is not too hyper-advanced. This includes things like plasma blasters, flamethrowers, lightning, sonic blasters, neurowhips, cold cannons, etc. She cannot replicate alien technology or extremely specialized/personalized weaponry (such as Captain Cold's Cold Ray). She cannot make these weapons too large or too powerful or unrealistically large as she cannot shift her body around to such an extent. She can to some degree alter the phase and frequency of wavelengths of her weapons but this is very much prone to trial and error. She can turn her hands into ballistic weapons but she cannot produce clips for them, or missiles.
Skills
Data Analysis:
Having a near continuous access to the Internet and the ability to hack into most civilian computer networks gives Karima almost unlimited access to information so long as she has the time and place to sort through it. Just as she has access to the information does not mean she can instantly know everything about something. She can generally perform acts via repetition without understanding so long as she has network access.
For example, she could understand how to put a plane through a preflight startup but she would not know how to fly it, or she could download information on hacking but could only use already established programs. However, she is quite proficient at logical analysis so with time and access she can learn to perform basic tasks. However, her memory capacity is not infinite and unless she uses a skill or information repeatedly, she is likely to lose the capability to perform the specifics without repeating the learning process.
Fighting:
Karima is a moderately skilled hand to hand fighter, having undergone basic training at the Indian Police Academy and from Interpol. She is also a decent shot as well. Her time spent living on the streets has given her a familiarity with dirty fighting and brawling. She is a skilled, if not beyond the norm, combatant.
Investigator:
Karima is a highly skilled investigator with a degree in Criminology. She has several years of field experience as well as having worked with Interpol. She has worked as a field officer, trainer, high level investigator, and in blue collar crimes. She is skilled at gathering evidence, reading people's expressions and interrogating them, and coming to conclusions. She is fluent in how criminal procedure works and the bureaucracy and jurisdictions of numerous agencies. The irony that this gives her an excellent knowledge base of how to live on the run and commit crimes to survive is not lost on her.
Languages:
Karima is fluent in the major languages spoken in India and Pakistan, and has an academic knowledge of Mandarin and Japanese, though not fluency. She can speak poor Russian and French.
Resources
Money:
Karima can gather herself moderate amounts of money fairly handily by using her cybernetics to setup fake electronic accounts for credit cards and such. She rarely does more than a few hundred dollars at a time as more than that is too risky, in her mind. She requires access to somewhere that has an internet network and that accepts electronic payments (such as using a smartphone app) to do so. She rarely carries more than a few random pieces of cash.
Slum:
Karima tends to live in a small slum hideaway. She has no real personal belongings and her paranoia means she rarely stays in the same place for more than a few weeks at most. With her knowledge as an investigator, it's easy for her to find places that are no questions asked without too much effort.
Weaknesses
Emp:
Electro-Magnetic Pulse weapons or anything that is disruptive to high technology is particularly damaging to Karima. Given the way the systems are connected to her body via nanotech makes them particularly prone to breakage from them, though in time her nanites can reboot her. But when her cybernetics are disrupted she is essentially immobile and helpless. Also her human mind, while willful, is weaker to telepathy thanks to the traumas she has undergone.
Hunted:
Karima is hunted by multiple groups. There is Interpol, where she is wanted for multiple murders, corruption, and enough crimes to get her locked away for life. By whomever created her in the first place if they ever want to recover her. By mutants that rightly fear a Sentinel in the midst of them. By technologically oriented groups that might want to dissect her or reprogram her. She is at the end of the day a creation for someone else's schemes.
Identifiable:
Karima is a woman with very, very identifiable cybernetics and as a Sentinel. This makes it simple to track her.
Memory Gaps:
Karima has significant gaps in her memory. She does not know who made her, she does not know what she is, or if there are others like her. She assumes she is some sort of prototype, but for what she cannot say. She knows that whomever experimented on her released her and can recapture her easily at any point, and they are always monitoring her.
Overrides:
There are numerous overrides and control codes built into Karima as part of her Sentinel programming. She has little to no ability to resist them when they are triggered. They have have (among other things) been used to make her attack others, perform acts of terrorism, and to assault mutants. She is very well aware of their existence, and the fact she has no capacity to stop them terrifies her.
Ptsd:
Karima suffers from post traumatic stress disorder. She has been experimented on, at times is a prisoner in her own body, has killed several people while completely helpless, and is guilty of murder and acts of terrorism. This often comes off as paranoia and her lashing out at others. Which in turn can jumpstart some of the self-defense systems within her.
