Profile
Former quarterback for the Metropolis Meteors, Kelly Praetor's life changed abruptly during the first game of the 2023 season when her body transformed and she was quickly taken from the field. Since that day, her life has been a whirlwind of divisive public opinion and learning how to live with a new body that doesn't appear anything like a typical human body. Instead she has been 'gifted' claws, fangs, speed, agility, and better senses overall, but with the appearance of a large raptor that existed in the cretaceous period. NOT JURASSIC.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1998: Born and raised in Metropolis suburb to Fiona and Leon Praetor.
* 2005: Earliest interest in football and the outdoors in general.
* 2007: Finds a youth team that allows Kelly to play. Massively excels at playing Quarterback.
* 2010: First Flag Football Tournament winner playing QB for the team.
* 2011: Parents move to a school district that allows Kelly to play on their Football Team.
* 2011-2015: Plays highschool football for all their years in school until graduation.
* 2015-2019: Plays College Football at Metro-U as QB.
* 2015: Majors in engineering due to concern she would not be allowed to play all four years.
* 2017: Takes first tests to prove she has no skill enhancing powers or mutations.
* 2019-2020: Plays Starting QB for these two seasons.
* Mar 2020: Takes additional testing to qualify for 2020 Pro League Draft.
* Apr 2020: Drafted to Metropolis Meteors to play after graduation.
* May 2020: Graduates from Metro-U with a major in engineering.
* Summer 2020: Attends Meteors training camp with mixed reactions from sports world and its pundits
* Winter 2020: Takes first snap due to injury of Meteors starting QB. Decisive victory of +14 points over rivals.
* Autumn 2021: Alternates with starting QB to add variety to team strategy. Winning season overall
* Autumn 2022: Takes over as starting QB for Meteors. Winning season for the team.
* August 2023: Transformation occurs during the first official game of the year.

Personality
Charismatic:
Something that developed in her college and pro playing years, Kelly learned the right way to talk to people to inspire, to pump up, to rally, and to move them forward and give them the same confidence she had in herself. It's how she will also be trying to convince her detractors now that she's changed into her new form. It's how she got her fan base and how she plans on trying to keep it. Besides, she feels that it's easier to convince people that like you to do things instead of trying to convince people that are scared of you. That can be left for the villains of the world.
Confident:
From even an early age, Kelly has had a well developed sense of confidence in her abilities, thanks in part to her dad, for ensuring she could chase after her dreams. Her parents moved mountains (And their own home) to make sure she could participate with youth football teams which developed her skills, all the way to the pros. Thanks to those previous reinforcements, Kelly's confidence now carries forward into her newly found life as a powered individual. She is certain she will come to understand her newfound skills and will be able to use them as needed in defense of the home that (mostly) supports her.
Determination:
The other half of her success in sports is thanks to her pushing through any and all when it comes to her goals in life. Her drive for success has often led to ideal outcomes for herself and those that help her. As Apex, she will dauntlessly track down her opponents, will stand in the face of their opposition, and will strive to come out on top no matter what is thrown her way.
Honest:
Be aware, even though she will talk to inspire, she will also be telling the truth while she's doing it! Honesty, to her, is infact the best policy and that came to her from her parents. They made sure Kelly knew that trying to play football in her youth was always going to be an uphill battle. She succeeded, despite the difficulty, and will be honest about any difficulty she may be facing as well as her opinions on things. She welcomes an open argument that won't devolve into insults and curses.

Powers
Agility:
While strength isn't Kelly's priority in life, and never has been, the ability to scramble to make a pass has been magnified by her transformation, resulting in very nimble movements. Even between 20 and 30 mph, she can maneuver through even the worst NYC traffic jam by either weaving around cars, using nearby buildings to bound off of, or simply taking to the roofs of the vehicles blocking her way.
Claws and Fangs:
The claws and fangs granted by Kelly's change of form are extremely durable. Despite some attempts, she hasn't been able to break any of them. When sharpened, cutting through softer materials is extremely easy. Materials more dense, like stone and metal, may be damaged but are not so easily cleaved. More often than not, she may leave marks, and some damage, but typically her claws will catch against such materials instead of cutting them.
Raptor-Form:
The change that manifested during the first game of the 2023 season, Kelly Prey's body transformed into raptor-like saurian, coated in white feathers, complete with claws, fangs, and tail. As a result, her eyesight during the day and night (but not dawn and dusk) is much, much more enhanced. Similar can be said of her hearing and her sense of smell, allowing her to track things very well. Her strength is only moderately increased, but her agility and speed are beyond that of any normal human being.
Swift Healing:
A good night's rest is all Kelly needs to heal from trivial to moderate injuries. Severe injuries require longer periods, but she isn't completely invincible in the face of potent assaults. She knows her limits and will retreat if something may be overwhelming.
Velocity:
Given some time to find her pace, and an even surface to run along, Kelly discovered she can reach upwards of 50 miles per hour in a straight sprint, for about five minutes, at most, before having to slow down. In less than ideal conditions, hitting around 20 miles per hour is as fast as she can get.
Skills
Engineering:
Graduating from Metropolis University with a degree in engineering was always her backup plan for when she ended up being forced out of playing the game. She works well with materials and building items and may focus on stuff to support herself in the future when inspiration strikes her.
Fighting Style:
Shortly after her transformation, and decision to try and fend for her fans, Kelly quickly trained to find her own fighting style that takes advantage of her claws, fangs and tail. A sort of brawling martial art, but also one that doesn't hold her new pointy bits back from slashing into her attackers. She is not shy about injuring her enemies if they feel the same about injuring their victims.
Hand-Eye Coordination:
Be it throwing a ball, driving, or even gaming (little of it that she does), Kelly's hand-eye coordination has always been a bit uncanny. Her accuracy during her time in the pros was always a point of pride for her and her team, and it's only gotten better with her new shape.
Resources
Accumulated Wealth:
After purchasing her home, Kelly hired an accountant and has since then let him take care of all her money issues. As a result, she still has a majority of the money she made from her 2 years as a professional player and from the numerous endorsements she received as one of the first female football players to be successful in the pros. She's been fairly frugal throughout all of her pro years due to her upbringing and will be good on funds for quite a while thanks to her spending habits and her accountant.
Penthouse:
Once Kelly's pay and endorsements started coming in from her professional career, the first thing she did was make sure she owned the place she lived in. It just happened to be the penthouse suite of Valor Towers, a skyscraper of Metropolis. It wasn't cheap, but she OWNS it and it is home. After her change, a few of the building's staff have assisted her with being able to move in and out of the tower in ways that the general public have not picked up on.
Weaknesses
Altered Form:
Without the ability to revert to her human form, when Kelly is out and about, they'll have to deal with the public, and their opinions, which are extremely variable from one end of the spectrum to the other about her appearance and powers. Even her old fanbase is split down the middle in either supporting or rejecting her. While she projects a fairly strong front some of the things said can and will get to her at times depending on how severe it gets.
Freeze!:
While still a warm blooded living thing, weaponized low temperatures have a profound effect on Kelly in her saurian form and she will do everything she can to avoid said attacks, and may even retreat if they're fairly intense. Extra layers are usually a must for her in winter months as a result, more for comfort than danger.
Overwhelming Senses:
With new keen senses comes vulnerabilities due to how sensitive they are. Bright flashing lights, strong smells like pepper sprays and some sorts of smoke bombs, and extremely loud sounds can all be disorienting for Kelly, sending her for cover depending upon how intensely her senses are over stimulated.
