A being made of pure light, Prisma has landed on Earth, and now must adjust to a world of physicality and non-instantaneous transmission of thoughts and ideas.

Timeline

Timeline:
Eons Ago: Born from her planet's sun, arriving on her home planet, Lumina. Upon entering Lumina, she becomes part of her peoples' hivemind and learns all they know.

Slightly Less Long Ago: A Star-Eater arrives within Lumina's solar system, and devours their sun. In the process, Lumina weakens and is shattered, scattering the Lumina people at light-speed.

Less Long Ago: Prisma spends a really, really long time travelling through space. Light speed is really slow, on a cosmic scale. Prisma spends this time being alone for the first time in her life. No other thoughts but her own enter her mind.

2022: Prisma arrives on Earth, and begins to adapt to a physical, non-hivemind existence. Though no longer alone, it's an entirely different life than what she's used to.

Culture Shock:
To a ridiculous degree. Prisma's home world resembles nothing like Earth. In fact, it wasn't even physical! Moving from a purely mental link with all other Lumina with instant exchange of thoughts and ideas, to a word filled with books and words to read in order to get that same experience is like nothing she could ever dream of. There are even a few senses that she can't fully experience, such as taste!

Inquisitive:
Life on Lumina was filled with information, but little else. The only thing that existed to them were each other, and the crystalline planet. Now, Prisma is in a physical world that requires physical communication to exchange ideas. As such, Prisma is going to want to know as much as she can.

Lonely:
Going from a hivemind of countless lives to only herself is a jarring experience, to say the least. Even being around other people, talking and enjoying themselves, is still barely above a solitary experience for a Lumina.

Powers

Crystalline Body:
Being made of pure light, Prisma can enter crystalline structures, and even learn to manipulate them, like a living statue. This makes her lose her light speed travel she's used to in her light form, but in return, she can interact with the physical world.

While in a crystal body, Prisma has all the toughness of the material her body is made of. Being punched with solid crystal is going to hurt a lot more than a fleshy fist, and a crystal body can take more punishment than a human one, especially from blades. However, it's not invulnerable, and a powerful enough blow can crack or even shatter her body, which would take a long time to repair.

Free Energy:
In her natural form, Prisma is massless, and as such, she can move at the speed of light in a vacuum. She's slowed down much more than normal massless particles, though just barely enough to be followed with the naked eye in Earth's atmosphere. Underwater, she's even slower. She also, of course, doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe, but she's also at her most vulnerable, if struck with certain types of energy.

It has it's drawbacks, as well. Most notably, she can't interact with anything physical. Even simple doors may pose a challenge, though she can always slip under, if it's not entirely flush. Windows, too, provide an easy access to interiors, opened or closed.

Light Projection:
Prisma can also project a blast of light in self-defense, effectively using her very essence as a weapon. It's much more effective if focused via a crystal body, but even in her light form, she can lightly sear others, though not direct it in a single direction.

As this uses her very being as energy, overusing this can cause her to tire out, or even go dormant, unable to move on her own without intervention. Resting in natural sunlight will slowly restore her powers. Normal usage can reinvigorate her within an hour, though severe overuse could require up to two days for her to recover.

Geology and Astronomy:
Having originated from a hivemind species, Prisma has learned everything the rest of her people have. As they have no physical bodies, however, all of their knowledge was focused in the realm of logic and reason. Having traveled for hundreds of thousands of years through space, she's experienced it's vastness firsthand, as well as what the Lumina have gathered from their observations beyond the stars. Geology - specifically, crystalline structures - also come naturally to her, though she's had no firsthand experience with them, aside from her home planet.

Nothing:
Prisma has just arrived on Earth, after hundreds of thousands of years hurling through space at near-lightspeed. She has absolutely nothing to her name.

Weaknesses

Darkness:
Perhaps the biggest threat to Prisma is supernatural darkness. Anything that explicitly snuffs out light would, logically, do the same thing to her. Her crystalline body protects her partially, but it will forcefully push her out of her body, leaving her vulnerable.

And if she strains herself too hard with her light projection, she requires sunlight to restore her energy, so keeping her locked in a dark room can keep her from recovering.

Everybody Needs a Body:
Prisma is near useless in her natural form, and requires a physical body to interact with the world. Of course, she needs a physical body to make a physical body, which, itself, requires a body. If starting with nothing, it could take Prisma quite some time to work her way up to more and more complicated bodies, let alone finding something naturally that she can work with to make her first body.

Loneliness:
Travelling alone for thousands of years in the darkness of space does something to the mind. Sensory deprivation and abandonment are two of Prisma's biggest fears, and are easy to exploit. "Do what I say, or we're not friends," or "Do what I say, or I'll throw you into a casket and dump you in the ocean."

Shattering:
While inhabiting any crystalline structure, a sufficiently powerful blow can crack, or even shatter her body. When cracked, she loses some fine motor control of the affected area, but when shattered, she can't do anything with it. The force required would need to be equivalent to a sledgehammer strike. Peak human strength would struggle to crack her body, though a superhuman punch could. Smaller areas, such as her limbs, would be easier to break, but would also be a smaller target.
