Silana is an intelligent young woman who was caught in an accident at Oscorp during a hero's attack, and gained the power of spatial manipulation. After recovering from a small bout of amnesia, and displacement to Brazil, she has recovered and is back in NYC. She has chosen to become a vigilante, as willing to take down corruption and reckless heroes, as those identified as 'criminals'.

Timeline:
* 1996: Born in Pittsburg to Jamie and Samantha Kines, second daughter, Silana grew up as a normal child, albeit an intelligent one.
* 2006: Won a science fair for duplicating an experiment into making high density ceramics, using household equipment.
* 2014: Attended NYU Engineering school in Brooklyn for a bachelors of science, on a full scholarship awarded for continued work on ceramics.
* 2018: Graduated and began a post graduate course in material sciences. Meets and begins to date Adam Rangle, who works in Oscorp.
* 2020: Headhunted by OScorp to begin an internship working in their material engineering division. Accepted a Masters degree rather than her planned PHD to go to work for Oscorp. Gets engaged to Adam.
* February 2021: Oscorp labs raided by a small time, but powerful hero, who had intelligence that Oscorp was working on chemical weapons. The lab raided was right under the lab Silana was working in, using a small particle accelerator and analyzing some graviton emitting space debris that Oscorp had collected. The labs collapsed, causing a malfunction in the accelerator, which irradiated Adam, killing him swiftly, and catching her in a magnetic field as the radiation washed over her.
* March 2021: Shunting her south, Silana was in a coma in Brazil for almost a complete month, until they attempted to perform a Cat scan on her, and her body reacted to the magnetic fields, waking her up again. She had only spotty memories of who she was, and could not remember her name.
* April 2021 Released from the hospital, but without any sort of support structure, Silana found herself on the streets of Rio, with little to her name but broken recollections, and a strangely in depth knowledge of Material Engineering. A gang tried to recruit her, but when threatened, she twisted space around herself to slip away a few crucial inches.
May 2021: A food cart vendor Juliana, befriended Silana, and she moved in with the woman, learning to speak Portuguese and how to survive in the town.
* June 2022: Her memories begin to return, and she gets many of them back when her friend, Juliana, is wounded by a police officer, firing his weapon at a fleeing thief. The officer was never charged, and Silana's rage reawakened the memory of the hero who attacked her work.
* July 2022: She nurses Juliana back to health, then begins training in shooting and CQC in order to protect herself.
* August 2022: Gets in a confrontation with a gang, and uses her ability again to teleport short distances, while wounding several gang members with her pistol. Worried about the gang reporting her, she figures out how to twist space to store her pistol. Fully recovers her memories.
* February 2023: Moves back home, now that she can remember it, and begins hunting the hero who killed her fiance. Finds that she is due a payout for insurance from her fiance's life insurance, and is also paid in a settlement from Oscorp. Practices more with her power, and continues her shooting and CQC training.
* 2024: Hunts down, traps, and gets the hero that killed her fiance arrested. Plans to continue her crusade against reckless heroes, and corruption. Buys and renovates a building into apartments, to invest a large chunk of her money.

Personality

Cheerful:
Silana is, at least outwardly, cheerful, always joking and smiling and trying to make friends. She jokes to deal with stress, and generally tries not to give in to negativity.

Driven:
Even more so since she got back, Silana is a driven individual, who sets goals, and does whatever it takes to achieve them. Sometimes, even if that sort of drive is not the best for her, or those around her. She will let little get between herself, and her goals.

Intelligent:
Silana is deeply intelligent, and capable of learning quickly. She has always been told how smart she is, and while she knows she's no Reed Richards, she's good enough to make ultradense ceramic plates in her basement when she was ten. She tries to hide it through her cheerful persona, but she's not always successful at hiding her 'nerd side'.

- Space Manipulation -:
Silana has gained, through an accident in a lab, the ability to manipulate space around herself. This is a fairly limited manipulation, and she finds it hard to move things other than herself, as yet. The field that she can manipulate is, thus far, extending around her in about a 10 foot radius of a sphere, centered on her torso, and extending below as well as above herself. Within this field, she can manipulate space slightly. For particular uses of this power, see Slip and Pockets.

Pockets:
Silana found a way to warp space around itself, creating a space that is hidden from the rest of the world. Items within this space effectively do not exist in relation to the rest of the world. Silana must make a steady, conscious effort of a few moments, in order to reach into a pocket, and withdraw an item, but any item within her sphere of influence that she could influence with Slip, she can place in a pocket. These pockets are always around her, and move with her, even when she Slips. The items cannot be detected, but the pocket itself gives off gravitons and could be detected by gravimetric sensors. The pockets are not extradimensional, they simply exist in space that Silana has twisted out of reference to the space that everyone else inhabits. The pockets are capable of storing about 5 cubic feet of space, but can generally only hold one or two items at a time, unless they're bundled together in some way. Silana can move these pockets around anywhere within her sphere of influence.

Slip:
Silana has learned to move herself, without necessarily moving. She can 'slip' through space, as long as she begins, and ends, within her sphere of influence. She can't end intersecting with an object, but if the object is hollow, and has the space to her, she can fit inside. She doesn't need to be able to move to be able to transition like this, as she's manipulating space around her, and she can carry objects like clothes, phones, or guns, along with her. She has never tried to take a person with her, but suspects it would not work, at least, not the way she currently does it, since she has been unable to move people inside her field. As far as she can tell, they have too much mental connection to their place in space. Things without a mind seem to lack this innate resistance.
She can slip objects to other locations inside her field as well, but cannot maintain inertia when she does, and cannot intersect them with any other object to exit. Much like herself, any object must begin and end in a clear space, large enough to hold it. She cannot take part of an object, without taking the whole thing, and the object must fit completely inside her sphere of influence.

Skills

Cooking:
Learning to help Juliana with the food cart meant learning how to cool in a fairly busy environment. Silana isn't sure she'll ever use the skill again, but she makes a passable line chef, as long as the menu isn't too complicated.

Cqc:
Learned in Brazil, and continually worked on for 'self defense', Silana has learned a number of techniques related to close quarters combat, including close range pistol, shotgun, and knife skills. While no master operator, she's had a couple years of study and has gotten comfortable with CQC tactics and techniques.

Engineering:
Silana has a broad base in Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, and other engineering related sciences, and a Masters degree in Material Sciences. She is quite intelligent, and good at problem solving and engineering and has held a job at Oscorp working in materials analysis and engineering.

Shooting:
As a separate skill than CQC, she's learned target and speed shooting techniques, both with a pistol, and various rifles, both semi automatic, and burst fire. She is a skilled marksman, but not an expert by the metrics of professional combatants.

Guns:
Mostly taken from various gang members in Brazil after fighting with them, Silana has a collection of pistols, and a few shotguns and rifles that she hasn't disposed of. She keeps most of these in a safe in her house, but usually has a gun or two in her spatial Pockets (+pow Slip/Pockets)

Money:
While not rich, Silana's settlement money, and insurance payout, means she's got years before she needs to work. She's got enough money to casually buy most commercially available modern equipment, but she'd have a hard time outfitting an entire lab for scientific work.

The Building:
One of the first things that Silana did with her money, was buy herself a building, and renovate it into apartments. She lives on the penthouse floor, but rents out the rest of the building to other New Yorkers, with a special preference for female students at NYU.

Weaknesses

Anger:
Silana, particularly when she isn't trying to put a good, cheerful face on, is secretly angry. Angry at the gangs in Brazil, angry at the cops who fought with them, angry at the heroes and villains all over New York. She's angry at corruption, carelessness, and all the other problems that she sees, out in the world. A savy manipulator could see this anger in her, and take advantage of it. While she hasn't yet killed in anger, she's been tempted more than once.

Enemies:
Silana made some Enemies down in Brazil, and likely more by hunting the streets of New York. She did her hunting under a mask, but who knows who could find out? Silana just hopes that those who could find her, won't.

Spatial Confusion:
While Silana is capable of Slipping into various positions without moving, she can, if she does this too frequently, give herself a form of motion sickness, as her mind tries to catch up to where she is. Slipping more than three times within ten seconds will leave her disoriented. Slipping a fourth time will give her severe vertigo, and likely cause her to vomit. It takes several minutes of rest to recover if she pushes it that far, though simply taking it slow will allow her to slip at steady, slow intervals.
