The Eternals are among the most potent of all ideologues in our universe. Conceived of in the earliest moments of the universe's creation, they are sentient manifestations of primal forces that move the entire universe.

Death represents the death of living things. Life must end for it to have meaning. Death of the Endless is an aspect of this ideologue concerned with the souls of mortals.

Infinity is all space and all things. It is the sum of any static moment in the universe.

Eternity is life and time. Life gives the universe purpose and time defines its boundaries. Eternity is also known as Time, and is the father of the Endless.

Oblivion is entropy and potential. All things begin as nothing and return to nothing. Oblivion is known as the primordial Chaos that spawns all things. She is called Night by her children, the Endless.

There are other entities who represent similar, powerful primal forces. Two of the best known are the Phoenix Force and Galactus, who fulfill other priorities necessary for the function of the universe.
