Veronique is an impulsive and very fast young woman who thinks the world owes her something. Durin her youth she would suffer a debilitating illness that affected her muscles and nervous system. Following being rescued during the attack on NYC of 2018, the girl was chosen as a charitable candidate with S.T.A.R. labs. Her condition was treated but she was too impatient to stick around. Now that she's inhumanly fast and mobile again, Veronique has chosen to never look back. She has since taken to disguising herself, using Catwoman as inspiration but a rabbit as a theme, to steal what she thinks is owed to her and she believes will make her happy.

Timeline:
* 2004: - Born in Montreal, Quebec, given up for adoption.
* 2005-2008: - Bounced around Catholic Orphanages until adopted by a Mr and Mrs. Lalonde, a childless family who worked a jewelry store in Old Montreal.
* 2009: Financial Crisis led to the family moving to help out a relatives business in NYC. Later, Veronique's parents ingratiate themselves with a relative at S.T.A.R. labs, making closer family bonds. As the Lalonde's holds dual citizenship, they managed to secure similar for their precocious daughter.
* 2010: - Veronique is a poor student, but excels in athletics and truancy.
* 2017: - Veronique's hobby of shoplifting and street art is curtailed by the onset of a rare illness. The few physical activities she enjoyed at school and on her own cease as she battles a disease that attacks her nervous system and muscles. Bedridden, she is eligible for a therapy pet and receives a rabbit she names 'Sapphire'. The pet becomes an inseparable companion and a means to cope.
*2018: - The Assault on New York occurs and the Hospital Veronique is being treated at suffers collatoral damage. Veronique is saved, shielded by the heroic efforts of Cecily Winters, who was trying to evacuate the hospital during the crisis. Unfortunately, her therapy pet had not survived the initial collapse. Veronique would never forget the face of the person that came to her assistance.
* 2019: - Veronique's injuries were worsened during the previous attack, and her spirit is low with the loss of her pet. In desperation, her parents secure the assistance of a relative that works with S.T.A.R. labs, asking for charitable assistance in the wake of the NYC attacks. Veronique is accepted as a candidate as her condition is notable, rare and she's still young enough to qualify for some new Experimental gene therapy. Veronique's family does not have the resources to qualify for safer treatments, but rolls the dice. At this time, Veronique is occasionally reunited in passing with her saviour from the Attack on New York as Cecily is also received treatment, albeit more advanced and in another wing. Jealousy grows and gnaws at Veronique when she sees the scale of wealth poured into the older woman.
* 2020: - Veronique's treatments are hugely successful in restoring and improving her reflexes, foot speed and endurance, along with distractingly elevated senses. Attempts to help her adjust to her growing powers are sabotaged by Veronique's growing impatience, and she escapes the lab before they can try and help her negotiate the side-effects of her new abilities. As her speed and reflexes increase, so to have her metabolic needs, and the increasing need to bleed off residual heat after using her abilitiese.
* 2021-2022: - Veronique is hired and fired by a succession of Courier jobs as she tries to make it on her own. Her parents try to give her a position where they work but Veronique chafes at the long hours, and despite the lovely shinies, the environment. Having only a high school education, her options are limited as is her patience. She turns to a life of crime to steal what she needs using her abilities.

Personality:
Impatient and liable to allow her instincts to get the better of her. A wild child, she's not one for standing still except when something special catches her eye. Veronique is an energetic girl that can run hot or cold depending on the situation and people she interacts with. She has a special place in her heart for animals and any cruelty towards them results in gaining her everlasting ire. While not inherently evil, she is selfish and has used her powers to better herself more often than anyone else. She has little respect for authority and believes the world owes her lots.

Endurance:
As a result of her treatments in the lab, Veronique is like the energizer bunny. As long as she keeps up her caloric intake she can keep going, and going, and going...

Reflexes:
Veronique has metahuman reflexes, but is still challenged by bullets and hand-to-hand experts with powers. She's more apt to try and dodge or avoid trouble than get into a physical tussle.

Senses:
As a result of the S.T.A.R. labs questionable test serums and DNA work, Veronique's senses have been greatly elevated beyond a regular person, which sometimes combine to allude to her possessing a sixth sense for getting out of trouble. These enhanced senses are relied upon more heavily than practical knowledge in stealing, surviving, and suckering others out of their coveted objects.

Super Speed:
Veronique can move at incredible speeds, currently topping out at 150 mph in a straight line down to approximately 100 mph when taking corners and being fancy. In her wake she leaves a heat wash.

Practical:
Veronique hasn't had the best track record when it comes to book learning and conventional class rooms. A visual learner, she's picked up what she's needed to know by watching others and trying to copy them. She has little time reading anything more complicated than comic books or has a spritely plot on a screen.

Wealth:
Veronique possesses little wealth beyond jewelry she steals, and usually loses, and the clothes and gadgets she lifts tend to not survive fast speeds for very long. Her family is not struggling when compared to the national average, but she resists tapping her parents for hand-outs.

Heat Bleed:
Her flawed experimental treatments weren't able to solve her generated heat bleed problems. What should have initiated a kind of safe and regulated jettisoning of heat will sometimes lower her body temperature dangerously and she'll go into a state of artificial hibernation time-out.

Metabolism:
S.T.A.R. labs was unable to have enough time to fine-tune the effects of their experimental treatments on Veronique. Her need to consume calories is greatly increased, and uses of her speed abilities makes it even worse. She could potentially starve if using her powers for an extended period without precautions or good sense.

Senses:
S.T.A.R. labs was unable to have enough time to fine-tune the effects of their experimental treatments on Veronique. Her senses are tweaked too high, so everything from loud sounds, pain, bright lights, abrasive fabrics, strong flavours can all potentially be an achillies heel.
