It's from this smaller one that Carol has to recharge her ring typically once every 24 hours, so she's taken to charging it every morning and if she's used it a lot before she goes to bed that night as well. While the Ring will warn when its charge is getting low, if it runs out, Carol would be only human.

Star Sapphire Corps:
Carol is the former queen of the Zamarons and current Champion of the Star Sapphire Corps, an intergalactic organization powered by the violet light of love. The Corps is dedicated to spreading and protecting love throughout the universe, often clashing with other emotional spectrum corps. Carol can call upon her fellow Star Sapphires for assistance in battles, interstellar missions, or personal crises. She can also call upon the Predator, their representative entity. Duty:
It's what caused her to turn her back on her dream of becoming a test pilot. While that sense of duty can have positive aspects, there is also the negative one that sometimes she resents that strong sense of duty, and what it costs her.

Emotional Control:
Due to the nature of the violet power rings, and their source the Star Sapphire gem, as well as the emotion itself, Carol can fall prey to the same emotion that fuels her power. If tipped over the edge the ring can control the wearer instead of the wearer controlling the ring and the power.

The One:
As much power and fuel one true love gives her, it's also a hobble, holding her back from moving on. Things aren't perfect, and every thing in life has it's ups and downs, but she's always got that in the back of her mind.
