Carol Ferris is a force to be reckoned with. By day, she's the sharp-witted President and CEO of Ferris Aircraft, steering the company with a steady hand and an unyielding resolve. By night, she transforms into Star Sapphire, wielding the violet light of love to protect the universe. Former queen of the Zamarons and now Champion of the Star Sapphire Corps, her life is a delicate balance between corporate battles and cosmic wars, but her resilience and unwavering dedication keep her moving forward.

Timeline:
1991: Carol Ferris is born on August 22.
1999: Discovered her love of planes, and began hanging around the airfield.
2007: Begins training as a pilot, inspired by her father and the aviation industry.
2009: Graduates from high school with honors, begins working at Ferris Aircraft while attending university to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
2012: Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
2013: Promoted to junior management position while continuing to fly occasionally.
2015: Promoted to a senior management role at Ferris Aircraft, overseeing significant projects and operations.
2016: Takes over as President of Ferris Aircraft, succeeding her father, who steps down due to health issues.
2017: Carol first encounters the Star Sapphire gem when the Zamarons choose her to be their queen due to her love for
Hal Jordan. This transforms her into the villainous Star Sapphire, causing conflicts with Hal as Green Lantern. She misses the death of Superman.
2018: Hal Jordan defeats Predator and witnesses him merging with Carol into Star Sapphire. The Zamarons withdraw to another dimension, and Carol focuses on revenge against Green Lantern. In the process, she's kidnapped by an alien and taken captive by an inter-planetary headhunter agency who sold her as a warrior. She misses Loki's invasion of New York.
2020: Carol is discovered by Hal Jordan, who leads a group of newly recruited Green Lanterns to her rescue. In her absence, Ferris Aircraft teeters on the brink of bankruptcy, but she promptly resumes her role as President and CEO, determined to restore the company to profitability.
2021: Hal tricks the Star Sapphire gem into choosing one of the Zamarons, prompting them to evolve the gem into a corps with rings similar to those of the Green Lanterns. Carol is once again chosen as a bearer of the Star Sapphire ring and is inducted into the Star Sapphire Corps as their Champion. This time, she is able to harness the power of the ring more effectively, balancing her love for Hal with her duties as a Star Sapphire.
2022: Faces a major crisis at Ferris Aircraft, successfully leading the company through turbulent times while also dealing with interstellar threats as Star Sapphire.
2023: Works on deepening her relationships and understanding of her powers, focusing on balancing love and duty.

Power Battery:
Carol is on possession of one of the smaller power batteries that is connected to the larger central power battery. It's from this smaller one thaat Carol has to recharge her ring, and although she doesn't know how long she can go between charges before the power is used up, she's taken to charging it every morning, and if she's used it a lot before she goes to bed that night as well.

Power of Love:
There are stories throughout history of people going to great lengths for love, or doing extraordinary things. It is this power that fuels Carol and the Star Sapphire ring. The greater the love, the more power behind what she can do.

Power Ring:
Energy Blasts: Violet blasts or beams of light that are emitted from the ring, the power of those blasts are directly proportional to the strength of the love of the user.

Energy Fields: Various sizes and shapes are possible, covering just the wearer of the ring, the wearer and those nearby. The field is designed to protect the wearer, and those close, from the radiation and dangerous particulates in space. In effect, the field creates a life support bubble, complete with a false gravity inside, that keeps the wearer safe while moving through space.

Energy Constructs: The energy constructs are the main weapon of choice, and they take the form of violet items based on whatever choice and idea that Carol happens to come up with. They are not indestructible, although like much of her powers the more control over love, or more love in general can be pulled on, the stronger they are.
Crystals: Part of the constructs is the ability to form violet crystals around someone and encase them temporarily in a crystalline structure.

Flight & Interstellar Travel: The ring allows flight through a combination of manipulation of anti-gravitons, molecular movement and the power of love. This allows for slower flight within atmosphere, but high speeds of flight out in open space.

Healing: Everything is healable, with the power of love. This is a literal thing when it comes to the Star Sapphire ring, and the capabilities is measurable by the strength of the love felt by the wearer, or the strength of the love felt by another party for the injured. With the greatest love comes the greatest ability, to resurrect the recently dead.

Universal Translator: The ability to translate, and thus understand the words, of any language in the universe is built into the ring. Allowing for the wearer to try and talk out a problem before resorting to violence.

True Love Sight: For those that turn their gaze to the sapphire crystal the Star Sapphire is able to reveal to them their heart?s desire. No one else is able to see what they see, and it is limited to this one aspect.

Love Attunement: Carol is able to feel the love out there in the world, when love is in danger, or love is needed in someone, she?s able to tune into it and can send out a tether that allows her to track down the source.

Avarice Immunity: Immunity to the Orange Light of Avarice.

Business Management:
Carol learned at her fathers feet, but in addition to that she also went to college to further bulk out her education. She understands what it means to work hard to keep the family business going, and due to that she's comfortable in leadership roles.

Leadership:
She was young when she took up control of the company, and she had to learn very quickly how to lead individuals that were sometimes twice her age and had a hundred times more experience in the business. It forced her to learn to lead instead of just be the boss, which has translated into her role with the Star Sapphire Corps.

Pilot:
Carol has been around planes her entire life, and began learning to fly at an early age. As soon as she was old enough to get her license she got it, and she's been flying ever since.

Ferris Air:
One of the top aviation corporations in the U.S. and Carol has full access to every part of it. It's a family business, founded by her father and handed over to her. The company is one of the leaders in advanced aircraft and experimental aviation, but it isn't without it's problems. During her father's time the company lost money, and nearly went bankrupt, but Carol has since gotten the company back on track. For now.

Star Sapphire Corps:
While the Corps are new in comparison to some of the other Lantern corps, she's their current de facto leader, and as such able to call upon them if she needs.

Weaknesses

Duty:
It's what caused her to turn her back on her dream of becoming a test pilot. While that sense of duty can have positive aspects, there is also the negative one that sometimes she resents that strong sense of duty, and what it costs her.

Emotional Control:
Due to the nature of the violet power rings, and their source the Star Sapphire gem, as well as the emotion itself, Carol can fall prey to the same emotion that fuels her power. If tipped over the edge the ring can control the wearer instead of the wearer controlling the ring and the power.

The One:
As much power and fuel one true love gives her, it's also a hobble, holding her back from moving on. Things aren't perfect, and every thing in life has it's ups and downs, but she's always got that in the back of her mind.
