Character Info
Profile
Protector of the Universe, the bearer of the Quantum Bands, is a force to be reckoned with. A hero by nature and design, she is part Titan and part Kree. She is brought in to face the biggest threats out there, the ones you've never heard of because she took care of it.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1980: Born in a lab by her mother Elysius using legacy DNA from Mar-Vell and a Titan to create
a superior. The second child artificially created this way, the first being her brother Genis-Vell.
The lab was secretly located on Saturn, a place the local Sol species were unequipped to
explore.
* 1996: Forced to battle her own brother when he went insane. A flaw in his
construction, mother claimed, that harshly introduced her to the world of combat against someone as
formidable as herself. She subdued him and returned him to mother with the hopes that they would be
able to restore him to sanity.
* 1998: Her brother having returned to sanity explained that he
lost it when his closest friend Marlo had been killed. He needed to travel to the past to find out
how this happened and asked Phyla to look after the lab. While he was gone, Phyla met Moondragon and
they became best friends.
* 2004: Phyla and Moondragon became a couple, but Moondragon had made
an enemy of Thanos who ripped off her ear and gave it to Phyla as a warning, do not try to get in
his way. Phyla has not seen Moondragon since. She burns with an intense rage to defeat the mad titan
and find her lost love.
* 2010: Phyla is drawn in to a strange alliance between Nova and Hala to
fight against a dooms day weapon. In the aftermath, Phyla took the Quantum Bands off of their enemy
and they bonded to her. She took on the name of Quasar and the bands instructed her of her duty to
protect the universe.
* 2016: Phyla meets Peter Quill while searching for Moondragon, hoping he
might help using the Ravagers as eyes and ears, but that arrangement didn't work out well. She
remained friends with Peter despite not finding Moondragon.
* 2019: Phyla finds Moondragon and
together they go on the run from Thanos. Moondragon insists that they part ways so that Phyla could
live her life until she found a way to defeat Thanos and they could be together again.
* 2021:
Phyla gets a call from Peter Quill, they have lost one of their crew and need help. She is happy to
join the Guardians in their quest against Ronan and Thanos.

Personality
Confident:
As a hybrid Kree / Titan, she is not match by many. Her station in life was a destiny fulfilled
and she holds the respect and confidence of the Kree Supreme Intelligence. Life is good and she is
sure in her own skills and capabilities.
Friendly:
Friendship comes easily for Phyla. She has nothing to prove and a duty to the universe that
affords her the patience to befriend everyone she meets. Friendship is a two way street though, but
her heart is not closed.
Vengeful:
Phyla has an axe to grind with Thanos and his generals. They took the woman she loved because
Moondragon defied him and now she is going to put that warlord in his place. For the good of the
universe and also because she just doesn't like having her girlfriend abducted.
Character Sheet
Powers
Ambient-Energy Metabolics:
The energies around her are constantly being absorbed in to the Quantum Bands, rejuvinating its
powers. Cosmic energy, background energy, it happens without any necessity from Phyla. She is an
energy sponge.
Force Field Creation:
With so much cosmic energy at her disposal through the Quantum Bands, Phyla is able to project
force fields of many varieties to protect against projectiles (both energy and physical). These
force fields remain while-ever she is able to focus on them.
Ftl Flight:
Phyla's superior genetics gave her a natural ability to fly, but not at super luminal speeds.
The Quantum Bands allow Phyla to travel faster than the speed of light when she clashes them
together, giving her a cosmic energy boost that allows her to move fast enough to keep up with most
ships traveling a superluminal speeds.
Quantum Blasts:
The massive power reserves of the Quantum Bands allows Phyla to overload her physical prowess to
the point where her punches become cosmic punches and she can throw cosmic energy blasts from her
fists as a projectile.
Quantum Constructs:
The Quantum Bands are able to create from Phyla's mind any object she can image and focus on
long enough to bring in to being. She has used them to create a Quantum sword that is her primary
weapon. These constructs can in theory last forever once they are constructed but they must obey the
laws of physics once the Quantum Bands are no longer focused on them. Once they are made, they
cannot be augmented further, a new construct must be made instead.
Resistances:
Her combined Kree and Titan DNA has gifted her resistances to most poisons, toxins, and
diseases.
Self-Sustenance:
Using the Quantum Bands, Phyla is able to survive in the vacuum of space or some of the most
harshest environments on planets. She can use the energy of the bands to sustain her life without
the need for nourishment. This is not a pleasant experience in prolonged situations, but it can save
her life.
Super Agility:
At the same level of a highly trained Kree. Her lifestyle and martial arts expertise make her
quite agile compared to the average Human.
Super Durability:
Kree are much more durable than Humans, but her Titan heritage makes her stronger still. Able to
withstand the explosion of a Kree Sentry construct at point blank range during the combined battle
of Nova and Hala against the Super-Adaptoid.
Super Reflexes:
Thanks to the Quantum Bands, much like her super speed, she is now fast enough to dodge missiles
and laser blasts. When facing against her brother Genis-Vell, she was already fast enough to dodge
his blows, but the Q-Bands took her to a whole new level that still surprises her when it
happens.
Super Speed:
Phyla was average when it came to movement, much like a Kree or Titan, she was quick but not
super quick. The Quantum Bands changed that, opening a whole new dimension of speed and motion that
to this day she is still testing the limits of.
Super Strength:
Phyla like her DNA father, a Titan, she has superior strength for a Kree, which is already
superior to the average Human. Enhanced by the Quantum Bands, she can hold her own against some of
the universe's strongest fighters.
Skills
Combat:
Phyla was taught to fight in the Kree Martial Schools of combat. She excelled, but that wasn't a
surprise to anyone who knew she was half Titan. It was expected of a Kree super soldier to be one of
the best and she did not disappoint. Whether Hand to Hand, or with weapons, she is extremely
capable.
Resources
Kree Empire:
As a member of the Kree Empire in high standing, with a direct line to the Supreme Intellect,
Phyla is able to present her case to the intellect and argue a need for greater military engagement
in a situation. This does not always get granted as the intelligence has its own designs and
resources to manage. But the Protector of the Universe holds much sway for the intelligence. The
Quantum Bands began to talk to her almost as soon as she put them on and she later found out that it
was the Supreme Intelligence using the opportunity to connect directly with her through quantum
channels.
Weaknesses
Enemies:
As the Protector of the Universe, Phyla has begun to make a lot of powerful enemies. Amongst
them are Thanos and Annihilus. In her current trajectory of saying no to tyrants, she expects to
make a lot more powerful enemies.
Loyalty:
Phyla will protect her mother, her father, her brother, her lover,.. and her friends. To a
fault. She will put them ahead of greater needs which has made situations worse than they should
have been more than once. Especially when Thanos took Moondragon from her.
Nova Investigation:
During the combined forces battle of Hala and Nova, Phyla gained a reputation as being extremely
powerful. She was on their side, but for the Nova Corps this was a wake up call. The alliance with
Hala would not last forever. She has been deemed a 'Continental' level threat and Nova opened an
investigation in to her origins and capabilities.
Quantum Band Energy:
It is possible to exhaust the energy in the Quantum Bands if they are used too much, such as
engaging in a prolonged battle and flinging energy bolts around. Once it is depleted, the bands
become useless until they have recharged enough to be helpful once more. This can have dire
consequences as the Quantum Bands are what keep her safe in the vacuum of space.

The crew of the Milano manage to escape and are headed to Half-World with Rocket in stasis on the verge of death. Their familial cosmic energy bond results in hard truths and hugs, followed by a plea to help take out Thanos once and for all. The course is set. |

Only the impossibly properties of Peter Quill manage to stop the power stone in its tracks. Why? no one is sure yet... but it's a mystery to be solved. |

Missiles are fired and troops are deployed. Luckily the Guardians of the Galaxy are there to fight back. And fight back they do. Defeating Korath the Pursuer and the Sakaaran forces accompanying him they save Knowhere. However, the attack was just a ruse. Nebula slipped in through the nose and stole the power stone. Upon losing it, they fight with their own confused feelings about what Nebula has done and who she is to them. It is settled, they need help. Peter makes a call and the crew head to Knowhere. There they meet Phyla-Vell, a seemingly random woman who Peter has a lot of faith in. Rocket, Groot, and Mantis head off to weaponise Mantis. |
