Detailed History:
* 1999: Zan and Jayna are born. Zan three minutes before Jayna, as he oft reminds her. Unfortunately, their planet Exxor is currently ravaged by a plague, and their parents soon succumb. They are placed into an ophanage, but no one wants to adopt them because their purple eye color warns that they may be part of a genetic throwback.
* 2003: While running around inside the tent of a circus visiting the orphanage, the Twins run into each other and suddenly transform - Jayna into an Exxorian canine, and Zan into a wall of ice. The orphanage panics about what to do with them, but the owner of the circus steps up and offers to adopt them. The orphanage is glad to be rid of the two, and so they leave Exxor as part of Hador's Space Circus.
* 2012: The Twins spend years at the circus billed as sideshow freaks. Their only friend is one of the clowns, who takes them under his wing and raises them. The clown's best friend is Gleek, an intelligent blue primate. After spending years in the circus, the two are motivated to escape after the clown's passing. Together with Gleek, they sneak off and hide until the circus leaves. They then stowaway on a space cruiser, only to find that it is a warship on its way to the Terran planet as part of an armada coordinated by the Dominators. They hide from the aggressive soldiers on the ship, and use the chaos of the attack to slip away. They find themselves in Sweden, where a kindly scientist named Carter Nichols takes them in.
* 2018: After New York is invaded by Loki, the Twins decide that they should use their powers for good to help the people of Earth if there are any future alien invasions. They begin training, in secret, learning to control their transformations.
* 2022: Professor Nichols succumbs to a lengthy illness. In his will, he bestows Zan and Jayna with his estate, and writes a letter of introduction to a colleague of his in Metropolis. With no reason to remain in Sweden, the Wonder Twins embark on a trip across the Atlantic, setting their sights on a new life in the new world. In a city populated by the heroes they have read so much about.
Timeline:
* 1999: Zan and Jayna born on the planet Exxor during a plague and placed into an orphanage as both parents die.
* 2003: Their powers manifest. In a panic, the orphanage gives them to a passing circus owner who adds them to his side show as freaks.
* 2012: The Twins escape the circus with their best friend Gleek, an intelligent blue primate. They sneak aboard a battle cruiser that is part of the Dominion attack fleet bound for Earth, and slip away in the chaos. They are found by a kindly Swedish professor who takes them in.
* 2018: After New York is invaded by Loki, the Twins decide that they should use their powers for good to help the people of Earth, and start training themselves to be heroes.
* 2022: Professor Nichols succumbs to a lengthy illness. He wills his fortune to Zan and Jayna and writes a letter of introduction to a colleague of his in Metropolis. The Wonder Twins embark on a trip across the Atlantic to become superheroes.
