Amazon Art Attack! (Note: Attack is metaphorical)
Date of Scene: 02 March 2025
Location: Art Studio - Themysciran Embassy
Synopsis: Diana approves of Donna's latest artistic endeavors and the sisters reconnect. Donna vaguely plans to connect more with Cassie, and soon there shall be Amazon Movie Night!
Cast of Characters: Donna Troy, Diana Prince

Donna Troy has posed:
Another quiet night at the Themysciran Embassy, not silent, but even the music drifting from the art studio is low, serene, a lot of strings and woodwind instruments that evoke nature and beauty and pastoral meadows. Very soft and comforting, something a fawn would be gleefully traipsing across a field to. But there is no fawn, only Donna!

And while she is indeed painting along to the music, the scene she is attempting to bring into creation is less pastoral meadow and more gnarly badass heavy metal album cover. Demons and fire and glorious warriors battling the forces of evil!

Judging by the way she's pinching her lower lip between her teeth, and taking multiple seconds between brush strokes, this is clearly both a very important /and/ very challenging artistic endeavor. And not just Donna trying to channel calming, sweet music into painting the most contradictory image she can. Because would a fine, upstanding Amazon engage in such mischief so that she might laugh to herself whenever anyone praises her work? Surely not!

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana had been at the Arts Center this evening, participating in the various training seminars that are a regular affair on the weekends. She'd come home about an hour ago, and proceeded to her room where she got cleaned up, and dressed in some comfortable clothing.

Passing down the embassy hallway outside the studio, she overheard the music, and was thusly drawn in.

Appearing in the doorway, Diana smiled at what she saw. Dressed in a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers, the very casual Amazon Princess quietly strode on inside the extensive art studio, a studio setup for a wide variety of art purposes, mostly related to Diana's past life as a curator of such things. she ended up beside Donna, and carefully draped an arm around her shoulders, as she tried not to impede her sister's abilities, while her eyes surveyed the painting.

"It is better than Cassie's stick figures, and penises." Diana said, her husky voice laced with a calm serenity, and a clear jest in her chosen opening words.

Donna Troy has posed:
For her part Donna's dressed down for comfort, a faded t-shirt with no hope of ever revealing its original logo, between the fading of age and the rainbow of little paint splotches and streaks, and a pair of official Wonder Woman branded leggings, for comfort of course!

And as focused on her artistry as she is, there's always that Amazon alertness, be it a semi-distant bank robbery, or simpy her dear sister arriving? Donna will not be surprised!

But as she peeks over her shoulder with a warm smile, eyes sparkling, she may not be surprised, but she's certainly delighted. One eyebrow perks though as she murmurs out dryly, "Well, I'd say I could give her some pointers, but I don't think she'd ask about furthering her artistic horizons. Just how to make more detailed stick figures and... yes." She snickers softly, eyes sparkling, "Honestly? I don't even know what possessed me to do this. I just turned on the music and then I realized I wasn't /feeling/ it, but then I thought... what if I paint the very opposite of my inspiration?"

She frowns thoughtfully, eyes narrowing as she turns to eye her canvas again, "Though I suppose there /are/ a lack of penises. I had not considered them as an element."

But her focus is only on her painting for a moment, before she's focusing on Diana once more, smiling all the more brightly, "But! How are you, my dearest? You haven't had to untransform any of Circe's victims again without me?"

Diana Prince has posed:
When Donna explained her direction with her artistry here tonight, it actually pulled a soft laugh from Diana, a bubbly laugh that had her shaking her head from side to side. "I do not fault you for feeling the creative need to express your thoughts on the canvas," she stated. "Quite honestly, it is one of the best ways for our minds to vent our thoughts in to the physical world. I have found it to be a favorite hobby of mine since I was very little. One that mother used to try and get me to focus on above the combat training." She cast a grin toward Donna, before she further watched the art come to life.

"You are doing a very good job. Perhaps I should get you to paint members of the Titans, and your friends?" She asked, holding her grin, as she glanced at what tools Donna had gathered up to begin this project.

"You picked all the right stuff, which tells me you did a bit of research before you dove in... Which sounds so very much like you." She had an affectionate edge to her words then and there, before she glanced toward the door.

"And yes, I worry about the thoughts that seems to be prevelent within Cassie's mind..." And of course, she smirked at these teasing words to the absent Wonder Girl.

Donna Troy has posed:
There's another impish little laugh from Donna as she heaves out a sigh, "Oh, I think I'm more expressing... not my thoughts? I mean, I've been mostly focusing on ensuring Lois Lane's not magically transformed or kidnapped or the like lately. It's... a surprisingly full time assignment. If print journalism is dead, I do not think she would have so many foes."

Her eyebrows perk and she hums out, "I hadn't considered that! I mean, I know Vivian Vision is experimenting with artistry. I suppose we could both explore that in unison. It might even be very interesting." She snickers softly, "But I already insist on burdening my teammates with my photography. I might need to bribe them to add in painting."

She shakes her head and heaves out a very exaggerated sigh, "Oh yes, that Cassie. Such a handful. So rambunctious and wild. I really do need to hang out with her more. Perhaps I can be a calming influence." She trails off for a long moment, "Or she'll be a bad influence on me and you will be in even more trouble. It's win win, no?"

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana stepped away from Donna's side, to move toward her last project. She had left it in mid completion, and had not done an outsstanding job cleaning up after herself. To her credit though, she had been pulled away to help fend off a Warg attack in upstate New York. Who knew that Wargs were a thing around here? Well, they're not anymore.

With a smile on her lips, Diana picked up a pair of bowls that she carried toward the sink station.

"Cassie would always benefit from your presence. But I know that she also feels threatened by you, in some aspects. Thusly, she is always a little on her guard when around you. But... that is just my observations." She said, as she ran water over the contents of the bowls to clean them out, along with the brushes and tools that had been laying inside them.

"I would be quite thrilled if I found out that you made the titans sit for a group painting. I am not sure anything would tickle me more, in fact..." She said with a slight laugh.

"How is Lois? I haven't heard from her since you helped her home."

Donna Troy has posed:
A few more brush strokes, slow and considered, and Donna's path to artistic completion is continued, though really with most of the broad strokes completed, she's just touching up little imperfections that come to mind while she chats with her sister. At least Diana's polite enough not to let Donna know she missed out on a chance to fight wargs. So rare! So fierce! So much more entertaining than bank robbers or costumed scientists who've gone mad!

She glances sidelong and murmurs out, "Oh! ...Did I threaten to beat her up? I'll have to let her know I'm not threatening. I mean, she's a stunning young woman who's certainly proven herself time and again. Plus, she's much better at coming up with party DJ mixes than I am. If anything I should be scared of /her/." She clicks her tongue thoughtfully as she sighs out softly, "I mean, we've got at /least/ one speedster. So it might wind up being 'All the Titans except for a couple cardboard cutouts' just so I don't drive them mad with the pace of painting."

She laughs softly and sighs out, "Oh! She's doing well. Or at least was the last time I saw her days ago. It turns out we get along quite well. Mind you, I think she's charming enough anyone could get along well with her."

Diana Prince has posed:
Once Diana finished up with her work at the sink, she rinsed her hands off, and turned around to face Donna at her painting station. She dabbed at her palms, fingers and forearms with the soft towel, while she smiled at her sister, watching her work. "I... think it is more about your days of so actively helping Caitlin become an Amazon. this could just be my psychological observations being way off... But I feel as though Cassie got jealous of your attention toward Caitlin, and ... so little of it going to her. I think when we all moved in to this place here... she had hoped that you two would become closer. Like sisters. Remember, that she was an only child, when growing up with just her mother. But, maybe I am off in my suspicion... I am just too old to really be accepted in to her world, you know?" She asked that last part, and smirked faintly at it.

Diana crossed her arms over her stomach, and drew in a light breath. "Mm... Lois is one of my favorite people that I have ever met in my 100 years of... all of this. But, she is a trouble magnet, through and through."

She grinned again, as she stepped back toward her own last project. She knelt to pick up a white blanket off of the ground, meant to cover the statue that she had been restoring. She stood up with it and began to straighten it out from the heap it was in on the floor.

"You're a leader, by nature, Troia... and I respect you for always taking charge in difficult situations."

Donna Troy has posed:
Donna lifts an eyebrow thoughtfully, lip curving in a thoughtful little downturn. "Well, that's... yes, I suppose I was somewhat blinded to... balancing my life for a time." She sighs softly and tilts her head, "And perhaps it is a little late to suggest a sisterly sleepover to reconnect, as none of us are /so/ young anymore. But... hm, perhaps a visit to a club with Cassie? She seems to like clubs. Of the dancing variety of course, not that..." She smacks her fist into her palm, "Sort."

She nods solemnly, "And yes, Ms. Lane is most certainly a trouble magnet. Whether or not it's through her own choice is... difficult to tell. She certainly seems to get a thrill out of daring and danger, but I can't blame her for that. It's probably part of why we get along so well!"

She laughs softly and sighs out, "And I wish I felt like a natural leader. I'm always a little worried when I'm the one in charge... honestly? I think it's just that unlike most organized groups, the Titans are decidedly lacking in personalities that /want/ to lead... they're all surprisingly easy going, or at least not interested in taking a leadership role."

Diana Prince has posed:
With the sheet sorted out, Diana stepped up to the statue, the sheet draped over her forearms. She considered the spots that she had been working on, when she had been forced to abandon the project, and with a keen sense of where she needed to resume in the morning, she moved to raise the sheet over the statue.

"Your training in the Amazon ways, has prepared you for leadership in ways that the other Titans cannot uphold. Those within the Bat-family are the closest to it, but even they were burdened with the commonality of the contemporary world around them, and its unyielding distractions." She said, as she sorted the sheet out, and came around to walk back toward Donna.

"We did not have movies, televisions, and ... High School drama to occupy us on Themyscira. We had our work, our training, and how it shaped us to be ready for the wickedly wild challenges we face in this world today." She stood on Donna's left side, and smiled warmly at her again. "I am always afraid, whenever I am leading anything... Just between us." She said the last part with a soft whisper.

"I think Cassie would like that too. She is so lost in her own world, though, that it can be hard to get her attention..."

Diana's right hand came up to gently rest on Donna's back, a few finger strokes conveying her care for her sister. "I am going to check on Ferdinand, to see what is for dinner. Are you joining us tonight? Or are you heading out soon?"

Donna Troy has posed:
Donna presses back into that touch, gently but fully, her eyebrows perking, eyes sparkling as she murmurs, "Oh! So I might need to do something flashy to get her attention? I'm sure with your aid we can come up with some way to break her out of her focus. Somehow." She laughs softly and sighs out, "And yes, well, I think lack of high school drama is definitely a pro to being raised in the Amazon tradition, it's... a source of so much drama that people cling to for their entire lives." She sighs and shakes her head slowly, and snorts softly, "And /you/ have nothing to be afraid of when you're leading! I mean, any time I start to get nervous, I just think 'What would Diana do?' and then I throw a tiara at someone. Works every time."

And her head shakes swiftly, her arm lifting to hook around Diana's shoulders, "Oh no! I mean, I've got a room here that needs using, and I'm not going to miss out on one of Ferdinand's divine meals to raid the Titans fridge for a meatball sub of unknown origins."

Diana Prince has posed:
With a wicked grin crossing her facial features, the elder of the two Amazons just nodded her head gently. "Show up at her door step in your clothing for the night, and tell her to get ready, that you're going out together." She instructed, as to how to deal with Cassie Sandsmark. "make her throw something on in a bid of great haste, and she will rush to catch up with whatever plans you have in store for her on that night. That is the proper way to work with the Wondrous Girl." She cast a grin to Donna, before she leaned her head over to press it softly against the other's own.

"I am glad to hear it." She said of her sister staying for dinner. "I have been feeling a bit... oof, as of late. It will help to have you around." She held the embrace for a moment longer, before she moved to separate, and head toward the exit, to check on that dinner. "Keep that painting. I want to put it up in the entertainment room." She expressed, as she went. "And, should you have the energy, maybe a movie night tonight? I need to know what all the youth are watching, and keep up to date on it!"
