Justice From Afar
Date of Scene: 20 March 2025
Location: Hall of Justice - New Troy
Synopsis: There is talk of death and sacrifice.
Cast of Characters: Monet St. Croix, Karen Starr

Monet St. Croix has posed:
The Hall of Justice has some areas that are open to the public. Monet St. Croix might technically (with supervision) be allowed to some place as she's a member of the X-Men.. But for now, she's just staying in some of the areas open to them. She's looking over at a statue of Superman, depicting the time that he fell in battle against Doomsday.

Karen Starr has posed:
Whereas Karen is an active member in good standing of the Justice League. She enters the room, heading across it, frowning slightly at the statue of Kal and Doomsday. It may be inspirational for some people, but for her, it's her cousin dying.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would glance over at Karen for a moment, and dip her head over in acknowledgement, "Hello." She would turn over to watch at it quietly. "I wonder.." She would speak as if being philosophical, "Does death have meaning?" Her tone is somber.

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen frowns a little at the question. "Oddly somber for here. That one did. If Superman hadn't stopped Doomsday millions would have died. I suppose that's one measure of a good life; does your death have meaning." She's not usually one to be introspective, but again, this one was kind of personal for her.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod over at Karen, "Forgive me, you're correct." She would sigh, "I just get confused so much. With some when they pass away and come back.." How does one react when it comes to having gone through that pain and then it being undone?

Karen Starr has posed:
"Not everyone does. Most don't. Some few get lucky enough that they do. And that's cause for celebration. Second chances should never be taken for granted." She nods to the statue. "Do you have ties to Superman?" Not family, obviously, but Kal knows a lot of people.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would let out a breath, "No, I do not. I.. Worked with Alura a few times before she went to help New Krypton." Her tone is very, very quiet. "Your world is far bigger than mine shall ever be. Mor ethan I can ever grasp."
