A Rainy Night
Date of Scene: 28 July 2022
Location: Basement Apartment
Synopsis: It's just a rainy Thursday evening. Micola plays a song for Pietro and they discuss paint colors.
Cast of Characters: Micola Maximoff, Pietro Maximoff

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Renovation of the apartment was going swimmingly and the flooring had been installed. That meant that Micola was spending some time up on the second floor. Tonight it's raining. The blue haired woman had hauled up her amp and her guitar and she was currently seated on the floor and playing some chords, just messing around for the moment. She'd not played since before the abduction. But she figured since they couldn't go for post dinner walks due to the rain that she'd see about tuning her guitar.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The sound of rain and her guitar is rather pleasing. Pietro was relaxing in a chair, a book in hand as he listened to her tuning. A slight smile crosses his face, the man glancing up to regard her. "Does it sound better with the new accoustics?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a smile as she hears Pietro's voice, "It sounds much better up here." she tells him with a smile. "It also just feels nice to sit and tune things. I bought new strings for it before we started dating and never put them on." she muses to that. "It's not grinding on your ears or anything is it?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Pietro shakes his head. "Not at all. You're fine." He chuckles. "Did I cause a disruption to your guitar-stringing plans?" The man asks, closing his book for the moment. There's a look around, nodding in approval. "I think these things are coming together nicely up here. Any more thought to colors? Or did you want to do a mural in here?"

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola grins to that as she scoots around to face his way so she's not talking over her shoulder at hi. "Any requests?" she asks him. "And no, not any disruption at all. I had time to do it, I just didn't get to it." she admits. "Either way, I'd be fine with you distracting me from things." she waggles her eyebrows at him playfully. "I was thinking we could do blues and greys, maybe throw in some purple and white for accents?" she offers. "There's plenty of wall space to paint a mural. Could do it on part of the wall where the girls will be." she admits.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The man thinks, regarding one of the walls. "Those colors would be nice, yes." A grin. "And I think they would like the colors, right?" The man smiles as she turns to face him. "Hrm... do you have a favorite song to play? I'd like to hear that... hear your fondness of the song in your styling, Micola." He suggests.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"I think we both favor those colors, or at least from your color palette." Micola tells him with a grin. "I think they would. Owls aren't color blind or anything like that so it might be nice for enrichment." she nods to that. "I have one I've been trying to learn how to play, but I am unsure if it is to your taste." she muses to that. "I have quite a few I like to play just because they have good solos." she adds.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"So long as the mural isn't painted in a way that might confuse them for outside..." He suggests. "I'd hate for them to find out the hard way that it is a wall." Pietro grins. "If it is a favorite of yours, I will enjoy it - because it tells me more about you, love." The man muses.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a bit of a laugh at that, "Yeah...no, I wouldn't do that and wouldn't suggest it." she shakes her head at that. She then ponders to herself and readjusts the guitar, "Alright. This is my favorite song. Or one of my top three. "And I've had a lot of practice playing it, sorry there isn't any live cowbell." she adds to that with a chuckle. Then she sets off into Blue Oyster Cult's 'The Reaper' or 'Don't Fear The Reaper' as most know it.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
The song is recognized, easily - the theme bringing a big grin to his face. "Fantastic." He chuckles, foot tapping in time - perfectly in time. "I think a cowbell would detract from your playing." The Prince admits.

Micola Maximoff has posed:
It's one of the longer guitar songs that Micola knows. But there is a smile to Pietro when she is finished and she shakes out her hands, "Alright, that was a finger work out." she chuckles to that. "I mean, we could always have you play cowbell." she winks at him. She then shifts the guitar and gets to her feet. Sitting it down on the stand before she heads over to him, "What are you reading?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
He looks to the book, turning it to show her the title. It's a book titled 'Greek Customs and Etiquette'. Someone is studying for meeting her grandfather. "I could manage the cowbell. I'd always been more interested in the cello, though." A grin. "That was wonderfully done, love."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
Micola gives a grin at the book, "You're going to do fine with my grandfather." she tells him gently. Then there is a curious look given to him, "You play the cello?" she asks him. "We could always look into getting you one. Sadly they wouldn't let me play guitar in band so I ended up with a violin, but I've not played one in a long time." she admits. There's a little blush, "Thank you. I'm glad you like it." she tells him. "Do you have any plans for the rest of the evening?" she asks him.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"I've read up on it, never tried thus far." Pietro admits. "Violin is so beautiful, though. It is... string quartets are wonderful. I enjoy listening to them, they can impart so much emotion to a song." A smile as she mentions doing well with her grandfather. "No, no other plans aside from spending the evening with you."

Micola Maximoff has posed:
"Maybe it is an idea of something else that you could enjoy?" Micola offers to that. "Your dextrous enough that I think you'd pick it up fairly quickly...not to mention speed reader." she points out gently. "I'll have to add that to the list of music to play around the apartment then." she offers a smile. "My grandfather is a big fan of opera and orchestras. So you guys might have to talk on that sometime." she states. "Well...I was going to look through some paint colors and then grab a shower before bed if you wanted to join me?" she asks him with a softer smile.
