Cast of Characters: Lorna Dane, Pietro Maximoff

Lorna Dane has posed:
It had been awhile since the siblings could catch up properly so when Lorna received word from Pietro that he wanted to talk, she gave a place and time to meet up. The place was questionable at best though she really couldn't knock the quality of the food. It was a pleasant, upscale setting to say the least, though she rarely stepped foot into the Hellfire club in any of it's various ways.

Still. Steak. Delicious steak. Perhaps even Kobe... Ah that would be a treat.

She's wearing some of her more relaxed clothes, which were still suitably fancy for her. A slim fitting green dress that fell to mid-thigh, heels, and a simplistic necklace to finish it off. The dress covered one shoulder and left the other bare pointedly hiding a certain tattoo she had yet to take proper care of.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Questionable was the story of Pietro's life, sad to say. With Magneto as a father and his own stint among the more dubious Evil Brotherhood, he was not unused to such locales. He was even a member at the Hellfire Club, shocking to say. Knowing the location, he dressed well - forgoing the speedster suit for a nice linen shirt and dress slacks.

Arriving on time, he stepped in to see Lorna awaiting him. A smile to his sister and a nod. "I did not keep you waiting long, did I Lorna?" He asks, moving closer as the host motioned to their table. "You are looking well, tonight."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna Dane lifts her glass in greeting to Pietro with eyebrows rising just a tad. It was rare she saw him out of that suit he so enjoyed wearing. It was likely just easier for him to wear it and run when needed or desired after all. "So are you, Pietro," she returns with a grin. "I'm fine. Things have been going well over all."

A gesture is given to one of the seats though really he was likely already sitting. She sips at the drink, then lowers it. "I'm ready to order whe you are." Of course she knew it was best to figure out her order beforehand. It would only take him a literal second to look over the menu and decide.

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
Indeed, he had taken his seat a second after she settled in. The napkin was already in place, set across his lap. "Good to hear. It has been a while." A slight smile, the man picking up his menu for a breath, then setting it down again. "Please, order... I know what I would like."

Ever the hungry metabolism, has Pietro. The staff at least recognizes the pair, and has the regular drink ordered by Pietro on hand. "Things are well, in Genosha. Good to hear." He pauses, having run over the words in his head several times in the last few seconds. "I have news to you, and... a request."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna Dane simply nods in response having expected as much. Looking up to the waiter she requests, "Kobe steak sampler platter with the fondant potatoes as a side." She liked those potatoes darnit. With that order given she looks back to Pietro tipping her head curiously.

"Oh? And what's on your mind, then?"

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
"The same please. Two orders for me, however." It's expected! He eats so much, at times. Pietro nods to the waiter, then to Lorna. Another breath, then he smiles. "I have asked Micola to be my wife." He's offered over the news, and scans her face for her reaction - any reaction.

"I wanted to ask your blessing, and make sure we do things in a manner befitting Genosha and the royal family."

Lorna Dane has posed:
The corners of her lips twitch into a mixture of amusement and happiness at hearing Pietro's news. She leans her cheek into her hand watching him as he takes the moment to ask her blessing. It almost makes her laugh. That would be rude given the situation however.

"Of course you have my blessing," she assures with a broadening smile. Reaching out across the table she grasps Pietro's hand to give it a squeeze. "As to how we handle it, it's the first time this has happened. How would you LIKE to handle it? We can announce it publically or wait until you two are married. However you would like."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
There's the briefest look of relief on Pietro's face, the man taking another breath. Then it is a sip of his whisky. "Thank you, Lorna. It is important to me to have my family ... with me on this. I still need to speak with Wanda over it." Odd, with them being on the same team and all!

"I did not wish to cause a stir for Genosha, or for you. I also need to tell the Avengers, to see if they have any needs for me to fill. I would like to make this a proper wedding. One to show the beauty of Genosha and our people."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna Dane sits back to pluck up her glass of wine again letting it swirl around a time or two in the glass idly as she thinks. "Whenever you're ready of course," she assure with a simple nod. "Though knowing the devotion of so many in Genosha, the news will be taken as a great celebration. I would suggest it perhaps be televised, if not internationally at least to Genoshans. But the venue and how you want it handled are all up to you two. I'll help in any way I can of course. You have countless resources at your disposal."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A nod. "I had thought as much, yes. I suspect it would be ... rude to hide such things from our people, or deny them the celebration of witnessing." A chuckle. "No matter how ... strained I will be standing through such ceremony." A shake of his head. "Do we have formal attire for our station?"

There's a pause. "If you can help with Micola - making sure she is not overwhelmed or overly nervous?" He looks to his sister, sincere in his request. "I want this to be ... the most special day for her."

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna Dane shakes her head slightly at the question of formal attire. "I'll see about having a designer come up with something suitable for you, though just your usual suit and perhaps a crown would suffice. As for her, she may of course wear whatever she likes." Grinning a bit she adds, "The dress is part of the fun for women with a wedding. Provided they want a dress," she reasons thoughtfully.

"Yes, of course. I'll make sure she gets to stay away from any paparazzi or curious sorts."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
A wry grin. "I would rather look different than I normally do, Lorna. It is a special occasion." A chuckle from Pietro, and another sip from his whisky. "I am sure her mother will be happy to help plan her dress." A shake of his head, quite amused. "She is very happy for us."

"Thank you, for all you do." A nod of respect to his sister - younger or not. "You and Wanda are really the only family I have contact with. I would be lost without you both."

Lorna Dane has posed:
"You as well, Pietro," Lorna responds with a small nod at his thanks. "After my mother and step-father passed, you're all I have. I'm unfortunately not as close with Wanda as I wish I were. It happens," she assures with a little shrug before he might protest or make any apologies for Wanda on that regard. "And things are always tense with father."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
There are no excuses given over - he knows it is difficult to connect with the twins, sometimes. "We will soldier on, of course." Pietro smiles. "And we will support one another, as family should." The man muses, as the food is finally delivered. "So what of you, then? What of your suitors?" He wonders, giving her a teasing grin.

Lorna Dane has posed:
Lorna Dane grins a bit indulgently at the question though she waits to answer until after the dinners are served. Best to respond where others couldn't quite hear. Mostly. "Things are going well enough, though I don't believe we're anywhere near that consideration yet. Still, things are going well. He does a good job of reminding me to take breaks when I need them. Which... I do need to be reminded of at times," she admits reluctantly. Reaching out she plucks up her fork to start testing the delectable slices of beef on the plate. "Mm. Still, I've been down that road once before so I think I'm more inclined to take it slow."

Pietro Maximoff has posed:
His steak is sliced up neatly, before it even cools. "Do I need to give him an evil glare? Threaten his life, should he upset my sister?" He's half-joking, right? A wry grin from Pietro, the man nodding to her. "I think it is good to go slow, if you can." He muses. "I did not want to rush Micola... but this felt right to me." A slight shrug. "And we all have different views on how time flows, after all."
