Cast of Characters: Heather Danielson, Kaida Connolly

Heather Danielson has posed:
Everyone assumes that when you have super strength, or pretty much any super power, that you don't need to keep in shape the old fashioned way. The problem is, Heather's strength comes from the healing factor letting her push herself beyond the norm, and muscle fibers that are stronger pound for pound than the normal ones. It doesn't magically make her skinny or in any other way shapely.

That comes from hard workouts, and self-disciopline. As such, Heather spends an inordinate amount of time in the Titans gym. Today, she is doing squats in a traditional workout outfit consisting of blue biker shorts, and a matching sports bra with a loose fitting cutoff tee shirt over it.

"Seventeen." she mutters with a grunt of effort as she stands up straight once more. The weight on her shoulders measuring four tons. She's going more for reps than for max lift.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
If anyone knows a lot about staying in shape, it's the tiny mouse who eats everyone out of house and home. Sure, a lot of what her power is comes from divinity but there's something to be said about bein' in shape. Occasionally, she even comes down to the regular gym to try to work on her speed. The treadmills here are great for someone who is as fast as she is.

"Hey, Heather!" Calls out a tiny voice that approaches her spot and she leaps up on to a weight machine to peer over at her easier. She casually adjusts the tiny bag she brought.

"I'd offer to spot for ya but I'm thinkin' you're liftin' outside of my normal weight class." She chuckles.

Heather Danielson has posed:
Reaching full height, Heather lowers the weight once more. When she hears the tiny voice, she pauses to turn her head left and then right. "Oh hey there Kaida." she says before she grunts and hefts that weight once more. She reaches full extension and mutters, "Eighteen..." before she rests a sec and then lowers it back down.

"S'okay. The system has a built in spotter. But I appreciate the sentiment. Anything I can do to help -you- today?" she asks as she lowers the weight into its rack and steps out from under it to grab for a towel and a bottle of water. The towel is used to dab at the sweat on her face.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Nah!" She states with a grin, "I'm just here to run on the treadmills and see if I can keep building up my speed. I'm getting closer to a hundred miles per hour flat out and once hit mach 1 for a second but it's hard to keep that pace." She ndos her head.

"The machines don't slow down." She chuckles and shrugs even as she leaps over to one of the treadmills with ease and casually starts inputting some numbers on it.

"I'm hoping to get faster and faster if I can. I don't know what my limits are or even how any of this works if I'm being honest."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Mach one is like seven hundred fifty miles an hour. That's amazing!" announces Heather. "On a good day, I get up near thirty miles an hour. And doing that hurts quite a bit. But.. I can deal with pain." offers Heather with a shrug.

She takes a swig of her water bottle and steps over to the treadmill,"Want I should monitor your speed and make sure the treadmill doesn't explode or something?" she asks.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A laugh and she shakes her head. She gestures to the machine.

"Nah! It is designed to handle someone like Irie!" She nods her head, "It can handle me pretty well but I can only maintain Mach 1 for about a second. Most of time I'm just fast." She zips down the side of the treadmill to the machine and then back over. It's a blur of movement.

"At my size and in small spaces, my speed is beyond most people's ability to keep up!" She chuckles and nods her head, "And I'm good to go! However, getting that higher speed is how I have proven effective!" She nods her head and holds up a fist. She then leans forward and grins at Heather, "Wanna know a not so secret, secret?"

Heather Danielson has posed:
"I do like secrets." offers Heather as she leans in closer. She grins and shrugs her shoulders.

But then she takes a long gulp of her water. "Does this secret have anything to do with Wally and his string of bad dates? If so, I'll -really- love listening to this."

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Pfft, no!" She laughs and shakes her head before holding up a finger and then pointing at herself.

"Everyone thinks I'm small and can't take a lot but..." She grins wider, "THat's my secret weapon. I am betting you could hit me as hard as you could and sure, I'd go flying." She nods her head and points away.

"Thing is, I'd be just fine! I can hit mach one and hit someone with this tiny fist and not even get hurt by doin' it." She nods her head, "Don't get me wrong, I'm not good at getting cut or burnt or nothing but blunt force? I can take it."

Heather Danielson has posed:
Smirking, heather clenches up a fist. She lifts it like she's about to strike Kaida. Then she chuckles and shakes her head, "Well that's not something I plan to test in here. I don't generally -like- to beat up my teammates. Just a general rule."

But then she steps back a half pace and says, "so, if we're ever in a combat situation, I could pitch you like a fastball at the bad guys, and you'd be okay, right?"

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A grin and she nods before patting herself on the chest and shrugging.

"I figured that out early." She chuckles, "Got hit by a car. Everyone just kinda sees how small I am and how fast I move and they assume." She nods her head, "I still can get cut but not as easily as a usual person." She nods her head and then looks over at the treadmill, leaping over to it again and continuing her set up.

"I'd not mind being thrown at someone if need be." She laughs, "Save me the steps."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"I'll keep that in mind. Who would think that throwin' the tiny one would be a viable combat strategy?" asks Heather. She steps over and looks at the controls for the treadmill. Then she shrugs, "I usually run in parks and on sidewalks, but I may as well run -with- a friend."

That said, she sets up a second treadmill and steps onto it. "Now, I can't run anywhere -near- your speed, but I do like to run." she says as she its start and starts with a slow jog before her own pace begins to pick up.

Kaida Connolly has posed:
A grin and she leaps down and starts running, at first only reaching around fifty miles per hour but then she speeds up, easily hitting seventy-five miles per hour. She runs along and looks over at Heather with a grin.

"We all have our talents! I can't help anywhere near as fast as you can. I think I tend to heal faster than a normal person might but not near instantly." She laughs and shakes her head.

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Healing fast doesn't make injuries not hurt. It just doesn't keep hurting for very long." says Heather. She shrugs as she accelerates up to a fast jog. It's not fifty, not forty, hell not thirtymiles an hour. It's somewhere around fifteen. But for a normal person, that'd be a dead sprint,. As a matter of fact, she is pushing herself right now. Healing torn muscles as they get damaged.

Granted, that's how one makes muscles stronger. There is just a limit to how strong they can get that way. "don't get me wrong. I like healing. But that's pretty much all I do other than lifting heavy things."

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Yeah? I mean, not dying is pretty much super important and from what I've seen, lifting heavy things is important, too." She then considers it as she runs, her little legs moving at a pace that is near blinding from a size standpoint. If she were normal size, she'd be moving at an impressive pace but she's doing it at six inches tall.

"I mean, honestly, the majority of heroes lift heavy things. Seems pretty important!"

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Yeah..." says Heather as she shakes her head. "Funny thing is, among all of the Titans with super strength, I've got like.. the weakest level of super strength that there is."

She smirks and shakes her head as she keeps running. It's nowhere near as fast as Kaida can run. "I know it seems pathetic, complaining that my super strength isn't strong enough and all..."

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"And yet, no one else can heal like you! Seems like you need to take advantage of that and do something to add to it." She nods her head and grins, "I mean, why not learn how to fight better? I have been practicin'!" She nods her head.

"I was thinking about finding someone to help teach me some more fighting skills of different kinds! I worked with the Amazons for a little while on things."

Heather Danielson has posed:
"Amazons?' asks Heather with a smile. "They're amazing. Aren't they?"

But she shakes her head, "I've started studying at a small dojo in New York. I have a bit of training, but thought that more would be better. Though, let's be honest... I work best as someone who can take hits others can't. I mean... it might be a good idea to get -some- measure of armor though. The more I heal, the more fuel or food I need. So if I can minimize the healing required..."

Kaida Connolly has posed:
"Don't sell yourself short." SHe grins at Heather, "Being able to take hits is nice but being able to give them back is nicer. You don't gotta be the strongest if you got skills." She nods her head and then she looks forward.

"Anyway, gotta focus on this running if I'm gonna get faster!" And with that, she ups hte speed a little.
