Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Singularity

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost is currently having what can best be described over as a migraine. A previous encounter with Selene had left her in a mood. So, as she gets out of her limo and goes to head over through the Financial District while having musings on just how she would make the immortal banshee cry in suffering to try and cheer herself up.. Oh well, one needs dreams. She goes to try and focus. Financial statements in her head, hostile takeovers, buyouts, tax writeoffs.. So many things to do.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity, meanwhile, is exploring! Mostly she was curious about the big bull statue on Wall Street, but now she's just sort of wandering along the sidewalk, looking up at all the towering buildings. She IS on the ground at least, but it's also New York so she just gets occasional looks from other walkers as they hurry along between buildings.

Emma Frost has posed:
The blue girl made of stars gets an actual blink from Emma. Then a stare. Then a quick attempt at a mind-probe. It's rare that Emma is actively startled by any sort of display of powers or persona.

Singularity has posed:
Well, she HAS a mind! It's...very alien in origin but roughly follows the normal human way of thinking. One gets the impression of this particular mind having a central focus, but the impression of vast...space, in terms of subconscious things happening. Hard to really put your finger on. She does, however, stop at Emma's stare, then smiles at her. "Hello! You are. Pretty." she says cheerfully.

Emma Frost has posed:
The mind gives Emma a bit of a headache from investigating. An ice crema headache. She tries to figure out what it means and what the girl is. "Ah, hello." Emma would offer. Thens urprised at what she was. "Ah.. Thank you? And what do I call you, Miss?"

Singularity has posed:
The blue girl clasps her hands behind her back. "Singularity." she responds promptly. "Pleased to meet you!" She offers a hand, because she's learned that is what you do in such situations.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would blink over at Singularity, then decide in a 'why not' look, "A pleasure to meet you Singularity, I'm Emma Frost." Singularity was to her mind young. And Emma was fond of young children.

Singularity has posed:
She certainly presents herself as somewhat innocent in tone and openness, if nothing else. "It is. A pleasure. To meet you too." Singularity says with a smile. "You do business. Here?" she says, motioning around generally to all the financial buildings around..

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Yes, I own this building." She would point over at Frost International. "It's something that means a lot to me for being able to have." Why was she so at ease here? Nothing to mind.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity looks at the building in question, tilting her head. "Frost. International." she says, reading the sign. "Why is that?" she asks, looking back to Emma. "People. Very serious. About money here."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance down at Singularity, "Well.. Of course. Money helps make the world go round. It helps people get what they need to live, what they buy to maek themselves happy. To od things they enjoy."

Singularity has posed:
The blue girl thinks about that. "Because you can get things. That help you to live better?" she says thoughtfully.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Yes, you can. You can use money to buy things that make you happy. Whatever those might be. Money gets you a place to live. Food. CLothes. Cars, if you're into that kind of thing. Money helps make cities like this."

Singularity has posed:
"Do you give money to people who need it?" Singularity wonders. "So they are happy too?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "I give people jobs. I donate to charity. I try and help push a number of good causes." Not -quite- a direct answer. Emma was actually fumbling.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity mms. "Because jobs are how people get money." she says, nodding as she's putting it together. "Are they happy doing jobs?" she wonders.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "everyone that does a job is not necessarily happy for it. Nor does everyone have the job they wish. I try my best to make sure all my employees are content."

Singularity has posed:
"Why would they have the job then?" Singularity says uncertainly. Not entirely up on this whole capitalism thing!

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would look down at Singularity and smile, "So they can make money to live on, Singularity."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity ohs! "Okay..." She frowns. "If they do not have money, they die?" She looks vaguely alarmed by that.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake her head, "No, they don't die. Just it can make life much harder. And many who want jobs can't get them. So much of the support I try and give is to those that don't have the jobs they need so they can have enough to live on."

Singularity has posed:
The girl frowns again at that. "There are not enough jobs for everyone??" She folds her arms, ponding that. "Then the jobs need to pay more?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would sigh, "It's not that simple and it's much more complicated. but there are issues with making sure everyone gets jobs and they make enough to live comfortably on." Stupid capitalistic system.

Singularity has posed:
So complex! "Why?" Singularity wonders. "People should help when other people need it, as long as they are trying to be good people."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "We do. We all try and help one another. Well, not everyone does. But we do what we can to help those who can't make ends meet. It's a big world and unfortunately a lot of people are not in a good position in it."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity signs and nods. "Yes. I try to help. But there is so much to do." She tilts her head. "But it is worth doing."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Yes, it is. IT's worth doing. We're obligated to help oen another. Even if we don't always do the best job of it. But because help is needed, we have to try." Those words, always so empty to her, ring true for just a moment.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity smiles. "That is what heroes do." she says seriously. "They help, even when it is hard. Want to be like that. Do good things. Make people happier."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Yes. And it's what we need to do more of. Singularity? You are a good.. Person?" Emma's not quite surew hat the appropraite reference is. "You are a good soul."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity smiles. "Thank you. But it is just what should be done." She giggles a bit. "Am a person. Soul?" She looks curious. "Not sure. Maybe?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would laugh, "I suppose that you could say that. However.." Emma would muse, "Star. You are a good star."

Singularity has posed:
"I am many stars." Singularity says seriously, touching her chest. "All inside though. Small stars. Small space."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would look down at Singularity and be entranced. And for a rare, rare moment Emma Frost would feel a sense of awe and wonder about existence.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity doesn't seem to mind the gazing, she's fairly used to people watching her and doesn't think anything of it. "The stars make you happy?" she asks, watching Emma's expression with a smile.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would collect herself and smile. Sincerely, for one of those rare times. "... Yes, yes they do. And they are things that I forget to look at often and to remind myself that they're out there. Something I've failed to do for a long time."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity nods slightly. "It is important. To not forget the things that make you feel that way."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would look up to the stars. "Yes. Yes it is." And for once moves beyond the more immediate thoughts and threats that they had. The Phoenix. The Shi'Ar. Other, worse things.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity smiles at her expression, then nods firmly! "Good. You look more at peace."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would let out a sigh, "For now. But thank you, Singularity. Thank ou for having given that to me for just a moment. And I do hope we meet again."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity smiles. "You are welcome." she says cheerfully. "If I am back here and see you, I will talk to you again?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would givea wave, "Enjoy flying the friendly stars, Singularity. Until next time."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity waves energetically, then starts continuing her way down the street, to accompanying head turns and staring from more alert passerbys.
