After Dinner Questions
Date of Scene: 20 April 2020
Location: An nice little Indian eatery.
Synopsis: Dinner goes alright and plans are made.
Cast of Characters: Sam Wilson, Morrigan MacIntyre

Sam Wilson has posed:
The trip to the Indian restaurant had been pleasant and there had been light conversation and the general getting to know each other questions over the meal. Sam's favorite color is red, his favorite musician is Marvin Gaye, he's a fan of the Mets, Nets, and the Giants, and his favorite movie is The Pursuit of Happiness. No to-go bags, but he's in no hurry to leave Morrigan's company yet.

It's later in the evening, the moon out on a cool night, and he removes his jacket to offer it to her. "Want to go for a walk and talk some more?" he asks her hopefully as they are walking to the exit. "The meal was delicious. I liked the... what was it, the Murg Makhani?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's not used to having dinner with folks that isn't business related, so she's taking it slow with trying to realize this is a dinner with a friend...maybe more in the future. Her favorite color is purple. Or various shades of it. She has a love of music, so it's not easy to pick a favorite right off the bat. She's a Saint's fan, so, who knows if it's going to work out.

The offered jacket is taken and she slips it on, she's not as bulky as he is in the shoulders so it's a bit big on her, "Thank you." she murmurs softly. "I'd love a walk. I'm a bit of a night owl, so that would be nice." she smiles. "Yeah, that's correct. Or Butter Chicken is the translation. It's so good." she chuckles. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. Some people don't really take to the food and eating by yourself is not a fun thing sometimes." she offers.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"Eating alone can be such a pain." Sam admits with a small laugh. And as long as the Saints and Giants don't play each other, they should survive that. "I'm used to eating around others. My parents when I was younger, then with the military, or with the Avengers now, when I can catch them. I sometimes host a cookout for veterans of the war and give them a chance to talk among themselves, or even neighborhood related." he shrugs his shoulders as he walks a fair bit closer to Morrigan than he did when they arrives. A friend, hopefully more, apparently is shared.

"I don't mind a good walk after dark. It gives me a chance to clear my thoughts. I also get the thought that maybe we were just making small talk back there, but you had questions you wanted to ask." he points out to her teasingly.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan seems content to walk in the cool night and there's a look to him, paying attention as he talks. They lead very different lives so far, but, they had a lot in common when it came to helping others and things of that nature. "I'm an only child due to being adopted and my parents worked a lot. I usually had dinners with only one of them or with my aunt." she admits.

"I do better at night, but, it's a sacrifice to be made for the school and I can come in a bit later in the mornings if I had a bad night." she states to that. "And I was a little. I didn't want to ask something silly and then the whole place look at me." she chuckles."Do you like being in SHIELD?" she looks to him.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"The main reason I'm attached to SHIELD is because I'm an Avenger. I think the two go hand and hand, really." Sam admits. "Right now, they have me as a contractor, not an actual agent." He draws in a breath and grins. "It's good that you were adopted. I'm sorry that they're weren't at home often, though. I think time with those that you care about is important." he adds as they make some distance from the restaurant and to the shadow of the nearby park.

"So you like to go out more at night? I'm good with that." he responds to her. "What was it that made a Doctor of Pathology decide she had a calling as a school headmistress?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a soft nod to that, "Makes sense really. Avengers seem to be there own little group connected to SHIELD." she admits. "Yeah, my adopted parents are great people. I was a pretty big handful as a kid given medical things." she muses. "Both are doctors. They try to help as many as they can. So I get it from them really." and the rest she got from her psyhotic biological father!

"I have an allergy to the sun. So daylight doesn't always agree." she admits as she looks up to the sky. Then back to Sam, "SHIELD tapped me for it. Double Doctorate holders don't really come along all the time...unless you're Tony or Doctor Strange." she shakes her head. "And I like kids. They're something that we need to make sure we are taking care of." she admits.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"Here I thought you were just very Irish." Sam responds with a grin as she admits to her allergy. "I enjoy working with SHIELD, I'm used to the structure and all. Like I said earlier, I'm pretty logical." he admits, his hand moving to find hers as they steer into the park as he listens to her thoughtfully.

"I know you're really smart. I can't ever reach that level." There's a bit of abashment in his voice. He knows he's pretty... street, compared to her. And that may not be an interest to her. "Like kids, huh? Do you plan to have any yourself, someday?" he asks her curiously.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I mean, I'm extremely Irish, but, that I have a soul and all of that." Morrigan chuckles. Souless Gingers were a joke most times. "Structure is a good thing, so I'm glad that it suits you." she nods to that. When his hand reaches out she lets her hand find his and there's a soft smile as they walk.

She squeezes his hand, "I'm never going to get onto people about needing to be on my level of intelligence. There are days it sucks as we want to analyze every detail of life and honestly...sometimes I just want to act and not overthink things." she admits.

"I love kids, yes. If I didn't I wouldn't have taken the job." she admits. "And I'd like to have them someday. Or adopt if I can't. There's a lot of kids out there that need adopting." she nods to that. "You? Do you see yourself with kids and a wife down the line?" she asks him.

Sam Wilson has posed:
His hand squeezes hers in turn, and Samuel laughs, "In the time I've spent with you, Morrigan, I've found that you're very soulful, and someone I would like to spend more time with." he admits to her as they walk. There's small groves of trees, benches, and light, but for the moment the pair of them are alone in the dark. "I get the feeling you like a little structure as well."

"I know plenty of kids that need a family or structure in their life. I figure if the right woman wants to come into my life and wants to be my wife... I'd not say no." He smilee with amusement. "She'll have to accept me for everything I am though. Good and bad." he offers in amendment.

Though when she speaks on overthinking, his smile turns wry and playful. "There's always a place to... act and hope for the best." Was that a little bit of encouragment to her?

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan tries not to blush, but her cheeks end up a little pink as he speaks. "Well, having a position at the school will mean that we get to see each other when you're in the building." she smiles to that. "I get a little crazy without structure and I've gotten used to some routines. Like taking my serum or I wish I wasn't alive." she muses.

Don't go picking out wedding dresses in your mind Morrigan, don't do it! "Sounds like we have a lot more in common." she states quietly as she slows.

She turns to look at him, "Oh is there?" she asks him with a quirk of an elegant eyebrow. She looks entirely too comfortable in his jacket and there's a genuine smile on her face.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"I meant outside of the school, but you're right. We will be seeing each other more often. Just hopefully not at work." Sam grins aside to her. "If you're interested in that, that is." And he picks up on her slowing down and pauses with her, the pair of them coming to a halt in the dark. Turning to face her, his smile for her is warm.

And while there's a slight chill, her presence is warming him enough that he doesn't feel terribly cold, and he gives her a nod. "There totally is." he responds in a playful tone to her.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I would very much like to see you outside of the school, Sam." Morrigan tells him as she looks to him. "If you are alright with dating a redhead that you just me." she teases him gently.

She does step closer to him, not completely violating his personal space, but, there's a moment taken to act and leave thinking on low for the moment. Her fingers lace through his and there's a look up to him, "Does SHIELD audit who you guys date? I might not pass muster if they do." she teases him softly.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"I mean, you're dating a guy that has literal flights of fancy." Sam teases back. With her in his personal space, his other hand moves to settle on Morrigan's side as the pair of them pull closer. Looking down at her, his nose is almost touching hers at the closeness of the pair.

His fingers squeeze against hers as they lace, and he laughs. "You can't be any worse than Steve dating Janet." he responds with a little chuckle. "It doesn't matter if you pass their muster. I'm allowed to make the decision on who I want to be with."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"That's going to be hard to top." Morrigan tells him with a teasing look as he talks on literal flights of fancy. "If you mention that we just met yesterday and are already dating there's going to be some looks. I can make bets on that." she chuckles.

She gives a blush though at his words, "You are indeed allowed to make your own decision on that." she nods. She leans in though, touching the tip of her nose to his, "Thank you." she whispers.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"Then we can wait." Sam says, a little noise there. "I don't want you to feel rushed." he admits to her quietly as they stand there together. Then she says thank you, and his brows knit in confusion... until realization dawns on him.

And instead of speaking, he leans down, brushing past her nose, and his mouth presses lightly to hers, lingering there for a few seconds in case she responds before he pulls back.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"That's not how I meant it, Sam." Morrigan tells him softly. "It's something I'm worried on and I shouldn't be. If SHIELD didn't trust me then I wouldn't be where I am." she states. "And...that means I wouldn't have met you yesterday." she states.

The kiss however makes her forget everything. No matter how lightly it is done it is something that drains all of the tension and worry from her. Then she kisses him back, her free hand reaching up to touch his cheek as she does.

Sam Wilson has posed:
The kiss lingers for several moments as Sam tilts into her touch and closes his eyes. Finally, however, he remembers to step back. "...that was... more amazing than I had imagined." he admits quietly as Sam is not pulling back from her. "You did meet me yesterday though. And here we are now." he says in quiet admission.

"The question is, Mo, what do we do now?" he asks her quietly.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan remembers to breathe! This is a good thing so that Sam doesn't have to carry an unconscious redhead back to the car. And that would get really odd looks. She gives a bit of a warm, but silly grin when he steps back and hears his words, "That was extremely nice." she tells him.

"We are here now and I have every intention of seeing where it goes." she admits. "Do you want to finish our walk and see if there's any other questions?" she asks him.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"Sounds good." Sam responds, and then chuckles. "I'm glad you were receptive to the kiss, though, it'd been real awkward in the morning to look at you if you weren't wanting that." he admits with a laugh. "Or you know, having to call a Lyft back to my bike." then he considers, and muses, "We do have to be at the same place tomorrow for work."

But he leaves that tease where it is. "And I believe it was your turn for a queestion." he points out to her as he moves to walk next to her - but that hand? It remains firmly in hers, his fingers laced between hers.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a grin to that, "Did you think I was going to stand there like a cardboard cutout?" she asks him with a chuckle. "If I ever cause awkwardness please let me know and we can talk on it." she tells him softly. "Yeah, I'm sure the Lyft would have been saying redheads are just crazy." she muses.

"I would invite you to my place for coffee...but I'm still dealing with unpacking and my bed is on the floor still." she shakes her head. "Should take the weekend and get everything unpacked and settled." she admits.

"No idea if this is a relevant question, but, should I not ask about SHIELD related things?" she asks him.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"I didn't know if you would or not, and I wasn't sure if I should ask for permission to kiss you, or just..." Sam shrugs, chuckling as he nudges his shoulder against hers. "I don't think you're crazy. But I've only known you a couple of days."

"There's always my place." he points out. "But I live in my parent's old place in Harlem. Not exactly Washington Park, if you know what I mean." And he doesn't want her thinking that he wants something she doesn't want to give... not until they both agree on next steps.

"You can ask, but it's a question you ask that I'm not sure I can answer, don't be offended with me if I tell you I don't know?" he asks her honestly.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"I was going to kiss you, but, didn't want to get all karate chopped in the neck if it went badly." Morrigan chuckles to that. "If it feels right...go for it." she adds. "Yeah, you'll learn more as we go." she whispers to that.

Talk of Harlem doesn't make her wrinkle her noes or anything. "I used to make weekly trips to Harlem, so I wouldn't mind going back again in the future." she admits to him.

She gives a soft smile to him, "If you say it's classified then I will not poke you further on things." she nods to this as she holds his hand.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"Then it's agreed, we'll see where we go..." Sam considers as he walks with her. "So. I'm a pretty much a mongomamus guy. If I kiss a girl and she wants to be part of my life. I pretty much stay with her until things go otherwise." he explains. "So if you want to do this, thought you should know."

"In the future, then." he agrees with her, letting her decide on the pace that they'll go on.

"Well, I mean... depends on how you decide to torture me for information..." he drawls with a teasing tone in his voice as they start on the meandering path back towards her car. "You have plans tomorrow night?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to that, "Well, then it's settled." she nods to this. She wasn't going to tweet about this. That would be dumb. Though she looks to him when he speaks on monogamy and there's a sigh of relief, "I too am a monogamous creature. Never been able to date or sleep with multiple guys at the same time." she tells him.

"You don't strike me as a man that has a groupie list or a harem, Sam." she adds. "And honestly I would just like to have one person that I can be with as I'm approaching forty and well...you know how that goes." she chuckles.

Her eyebrows quirk up though and her eyes twinkle with a bit of impishness, "Oh I have my ways, Mister Wilson." she grins to him when he talks on torture. "You'll see." she winks. "And I have no plans unless they involve a very handsome counselor." she points out.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"I'm in my mid-thirties, so I get that. I'd like a family sooner over later." Sam admits to her. Maybe she should consider how she'd look in a wedding dress. At some point.

"Sorry, seems that my card's been taken by a redhead doctor that I find reluctant to leave the side of, but I know at some point she's going to take me back to my bike tonight, and I'll wake up tomorrow wondering if this was dream and show up at your office tomorrow and ask you to pinch me." he points out in amusement.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"When is your birthday? This will be something I will need to add to the calendar so I make sure not to forget about it." Morrigan smiles to that. Then there's a soft and playful pout to him, "Aww, what a lucky woman." she states. "I assure you that I will be happy to pinch you tomorrow morning if you come and see me before school starts." she winks at him.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"September 23. When's yours?" Samuel asks curiously, and grins over at her. "I'd like to think I'm the lucky one." he responds easily, a warm smile on his lips, which still may have just a bit of her stain left on them. "I'm sure you'd enjoy pinching me." There's an easy laugh as her car comes into view, and he sighs. "This has been amazing, Morrigan. I'm glad we did this."

He glances over at her, his hand giving hers an affectionate squeeze. "I suppose we should wait a couple of weeks before we go public, hmm?" he asks her. "Though I imagine the kids will catch on quickly if they see us together."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a grin, "September 23rd, got it." she makes sure to get this information embedded into something. "I'm March 17th. Good old Saint Patrick's Day." she smiles. Can't get more Irish than that. "You okay dating an older woman?" she teases him gently. "And I am glad we did it as well. Taking chances pay off every so often." she states as she rubs her shoulder against his.

Then she's nodding, "Yeah, just a couple weeks. We'll figure out real quick if this is going to be something that sticks I'm sure." she tells him as she gives a soft smile to him. "And yeah, they will. They're all whip smart. So don't be surprised." she muses.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"You okay with being a cougar?" Sam responds in full amusement as he makes a note. "So I was a month late for your birthday. I'll have to make up for your gift with..." And before he can say more, he turns towards her and kisses her. Firm, full. This isn't a very chaste kiss. It's one more of suggestion. Of hope that there will be many more moments, just like this. One to taste, to tease, to taunt her.

One that shows that he's willing to invest in her. In this. And hopes he wants her to as well.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a laugh, one that is warm and full of life, "A /cougar/, really?" she can't help it. She'd never stalked anything in her life. Or well...on a bad night Sam could be viewed as food. But details!

There is a kiss that makes her see stars. The ginger presses closer to him, her free hand sliding over his shoulder as she indulges in the kiss and shares his space. A soft nip is given to his bottom lip and there's a moment taken to breathe, "If you give me one of those kisses in the morning I won't need coffee." she whispers.

Sam Wilson has posed:
Lingering there for several moments as Sam feels her softer curves of her pressed up against him as they share in that intimate space, and he swears she can feel his heart racing at this range. "I think I could make sure you get one of those. As many as you want to have, Morrigan." He doesn't know he can be seen as her snack as of yet, and his eyes are dark as he looks down into her violet eyes.

"I don't want to say we should head back, but it's getting pretty late, and we both have work in the morning." then he thinks to add. "...we're you going on the trip to Spain?" Because he should probably consider that. After all, how many chances will he get a chance to enjoy what could be a romantic trip with her.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan rests her head against his after the kiss and she was trying to not focus on racing hearts. Blood was something she needed to not think about. "Oh, that would be lovely then." she grins softly to that. She strokes her fingers down his cheek as she stands there with him.

"It is getting late and we both have to be good adults tomorrow...yes." she pouts at that. "Yep, I'm going on the trip to Spain just to make sure no one disappears or shoves anyone else out a window." she muses.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"Maybe after a few more of these, we can be not so good adults." Sam offers to her in suggestion, his hand against her side under the jacket, finding the curve of her hip and resting there as he closes his eyes against her touch on the scruff of hair on his jaw and cheek.

"Too late to ask if you need chaperones?" he asks her playfully. "If it'd be appropriate." he thinks to add. It may be too soon. He doesn't know.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan chuckles at that, "Maaaybe." she teases him. "This is the best night I've had in awhile." she tells him softly. "But we should definitely get you dropped off so neither of us are late in the morning." she frowns at the adulting, but, they had to do it. And her hellcat was the last car parked as it was.

"Of course not, we'd love to have you chaperone." she tells him with a soft smile. "If you think SHIELD will let you go out of the country on private business for a few days?" she asks him.

Sam Wilson has posed:
"Good idea. We'll just have to not be adults some other time." Sam offers cheerfully as he gives her nose an encouraging bump with his own before he steps back before he moves to stand next to her again. "Alright, back to the school." he says with some reluctance.

"Since I'm on contract with SHIELD, I can come and go as I feel like it, as long as I let them know." he explains. "But sure."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a grin to that, "Deal." she tells him. She then continues to walk with him, finally getting back to the car. "Shouldn't be long till we get back to the school." she admits. But she looks to him and her fingers give his a squeeze, "There's always tomorrow." she tells him.

"We'll have fun in Spain. I'm not expecting any other worldly invaders or anything like that. So it should be fairly quiet." she smiles.

Sam Wilson has posed:
He finally has to release her hand to turn to walk to the other side of the car, waiting for her to unlock the doors so he can slip within with her to settle in. Sam glances aside to her and grins. "Tomorrow, and the next day and..." he teases her gently, but it's clear they're at least an item now.

"And yeah, I've never been to Spain, I look forward to it."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to him over the hood of the dodge Challenge, "I think I like this plan more and more." she tells him and then slips inside. Making light conversation on the way back to the school with him. It's not a long way to drive. "We'll get you added to the list of Spain chaperones then." she smiles to him.

She parks next to his bike though and then looks to him, "I'll see you tomorrow?" she asks him.

Sam Wilson has posed:
Sam Wilson chuckles. "The Serpent Society couldn't keep me away." he responds to her as he reaches over, drawing his fingers down Morrigan's pale cheek in response. "I'll see you bright and early. With the coffee. Just in case the kiss doesn't work as well as you hope." he gives her an affectionate smile and leans over for one last kiss for the night. "See you tomorrow, Morrigan." he murmurs, pulling back to open the door and walk to his bike.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's brow quirks curiously at the mention of a Serpent Society and while her curiosity might sometimes get the better, she doesn't ask what it is this time. THIS TIME. "Mmm. I'm sure the kiss will work just fine, but, your offering of coffee will be greatly appreciated." she grins. She returns the good night kiss and watches him moving towards his bike.

She doesn't realize she's still wearing his jacket...and he might not either.

Oops.

Sam Wilson has posed:
He doesn't. And when he does, he'll laugh.

Because it wasn't like he didn't need a reason to see her tomorrow.

But it helps.
