Getting the Green
Date of Scene: 12 September 2022
Location: StockGen Office Building, Midtown NYC.
Synopsis: Mona attempts to infiltrate a Foot Clan Meeting.
Cast of Characters: Shredder, Mona Lisa




Shredder has posed:
    StockGen's ability to procure the strange utromium based mutagen has continually fascinated the Foot clan. While many of their experiments have been far more responsible in nature, the presence of the Turtles have taken Shredder's attention in another direction. If this chemical can be used to create such incredible mutations accidentally, then what could it create with a more intentional effort?

    Here in a lab that has been funded by the Foot Clan's alternative procurements of equipment, A young man sits over the microscope as he examines the latest experiment, and the Shredder listens as a woman who has been previously mutated into a shark explains the latest efforts through an extra two layers of teeth.

    The lab isn't hidden, not particularly. Some things are best done in front of everyone, without any expectation that there is a dirty deed being done. This is on the fourth floor of a 20 story office building. Listed as a specimen processing lab for rather routine test results.

Mona Lisa has posed:
     Lt. Y'Gthgba, assigned the moniker of Mona Lisa during her job on Earth, spies on the meeting clinging to the outside of the building, a finger with a touch-mic pressed against the glass as she listens in to the words being spoken. Her other hand grips the surface of the building, her high-tech morph-pads on her fingers allowing her to climb it like a tree frog, closing her eyes as she listens in.

     A master ninja, and one the alien agent is not expecting, The Shredder would notice that... inhuman hand against the glass with his constant alertness, and his distrust in Stockgen in employing proper security measures...

Shredder has posed:
    "The compound will replicate the presence of the most prevalent compatible life form's DNA," the shark explains. "Which is how this happened," she gestures to herself. "My accident was understandable and simple enough. But it also raised the question: Why have some of these others been so bizarre and random? We can control the outcome to be certain, but when we attempt to remove the animal element, an animal of some sort always presents itself." She drones on about presence of dander on a person's skin, or other such things, while The Shredder listens closely. Perhaps he is not a man of science, but that doesn't mean he is tuning out the details.

    It also doesn't mean that he's tuning out what is happening around him. The movement of the hand to the glass catches his attention, and his eyes shift toward the eavesdropping creature. They narrow, but he does not otherwise move immediately, his arms remaining folded across his chest.

Mona Lisa has posed:
     The alien agent continues to listen in from the outside, content with reconnaissance for now, but outside, she's gritting her teeth and shaking her head at the news they've got this much information on the mutagen... and seem to be using it intentionally. She adjusts her grip on the wall, hand against the glass still, continuing to listen in.

Shredder has posed:
    Shredder's expression remains rather neutral as the explanation continues, and once it is complete, he nods. A short exchange about their need to continue their work until they can find ways to both reverse and control the operations is confirmed, and he moves to the exit. The team present return to their work but as for the Shredder? He moves to the ground floor through a leap down the stairwell, and makes for the side of the building that Mona was observing from.

Mona Lisa has posed:
     Mona hangs around, literally, until the shark woman and the Shredder have piled out, and then as she spots the gleaming metal emerging from the front of the building. Her eyes widen at that, looking around before quickly scrambling for the roof to try to put distance between her and the armored man, but she's definitely not fast enough to get up there before she's spotted, her alien tail and metallic-covered legs definitely seen scrambling onto the roof bare minimum.

Shredder has posed:
    Shredder looks up as Mona scales the roof toward the garrison that he keeps there. They aren't the most skilled of his ninjas by any stretch of the imagination, two standard Foot are there. However, her decision to flee upward instead of away causes him to give an order.

    "There is a creature coming to you on the roof. I want you to detain or stall it." He doesn't know how capable Mona might be, but he walks back inside, this time toward the express elevator. He could certainly scale the side in an emergency, but 20 floors would be a very long way to climb, and he knows he doesn't have the speed to keep up with this new character.

Mona Lisa has posed:
     When confronted by foot soldiers on the roof, the salamandarian is at first surprised, then draws her sword with one hand, other raising for the morph pad on her wrist to display a hologram showing her credentials, saying "Halt, in the name of the Salamandarian Air Command this organization is under investigation, you will stand aside and allow me to continue or be cut down by my blade!"

Shredder has posed:
    The two ninja on the rooftop are armed with different primary weapons. One has nunchaku, and the other a pair of punch daggers. They look at each other, perhaps in confusion when Mona Lisa declares her credentials.
    "I think that's made up," the first with the nunchaku says aloud. The voice is young, male, but clearly not finished with puberty yet. "That sounds like a fake country."

Mona Lisa has posed:
     The salamandarian looks incredulously at the pair, but soon grits her sharp, pointed teeth, snarling as she says "So be it!" as she darts towards them. The sword is turned to its "stun" setting as she slashes into the first teen, then kicks high at the punch dagger equipped one, stunning the first and leaving him clutching his side while the second is knocked out cold in quick succession, swallowing as she collects herself.

     This is starting to go poorly. She brings up the morphpad on her wrist again to bring up a scan of the building, trying to decide on making a break for the mutagen now versus retreating and allowing them to get further security in place... As dangerous as the mutagen is, any she can retrieve now before further security is put in place is going to make things easier in the long run, so she shakes her head before boldly making a break for the door, and the stairwell down...

Shredder has posed:
    They clearly don't have the skills to match the alien in a fight, and while they try their best, it comes up woefully short. The one still conscious on the ground reaches to his hip, pulling out a smoke pellet to throw at her feet. He may be unable to fight, but if she can't see the thing she's consulting, it could slow her progress on finding an exit.

Mona Lisa has posed:
     Mona Lisa's morph-pad on her wrist shifts into a blaster to fire another stunning shot at the ninja just as he raises the smoke pellet, but she darts down the door to the stairwell regardless, brashly heading down to the office she saw the shark and armored man talking in...

Shredder has posed:
    Upon entry to the stair well, a new sight greets her. The Shredder is there at the first landing below, having been on his ascent after leaving the elevator. "Another mutant," he muses, not aware that this warrior is from another world entirely. He isn't alarmed, though he's clearly ready. "What business do you have coming and spying on my affairs?" The question is given with a certain expectation, as if he has no concept that a person might refuse the question.

Mona Lisa has posed:
     Across the stairwell, with the pit between them, the salamander alien draws her energy sword, pointing it at the armored man defiantly, saying "The use of Mutagenic Ooze from Dimension X to cause mutations intentionally is a violation of galactic law. Surrender, and I will see that you get a fair trial based on your ignorance."

Shredder has posed:
    "Quaint." That's the Shredder's perspective on the challenge. Still, technically she did answer him. "Mutagenic ooze," he echoes. "Stockman's records referred to it as mutagen, an active ingredient which was a base element not found on Earth." He starts walking quietly up the steps in the face of the sword, showing a lack of deterred will in its face.

    "The Iron Demon called it the blood of his world. Utromium, I think was his word," he continues. "But that was another life. And now you want it. Seems a terribly long journey to make on account of such a small prize. And if that prize is worth such a long journey, then you think I should simply surrender it to you?"

Mona Lisa has posed:
     Mona's amphibian eyes widen at the armored man's words, swallowing as she turns her body to the side, an arm raised, sword still pointed at him in what is similar to a saber fencing pose. "Krang." she repeats, her sword arm a little shakey at the word, "Krang is one of the galaxy's most wanted criminals. I'll give you one last chance to surrender, testify against him and they might let you off with a light sentence..." but she can sense this is useless, backing up the stairs into a disadvantageous position. Her high hand goes behind her back, and a soft "Click" might be heard of some sort of device... Something she can throw at him, perhaps?

Shredder has posed:
    The shake of her sword arm is not lost on Shredder. The muscle tension is compromised, whether from fear or from weariness. Exploitable. The last chance to surrender seems to be utilized, but not for surrender.

    Shredder bursts face first toward the tip of the blade, as if he would impale himself with the energy sword. His foot crosses his body and right as he would be stabbed, he pivots, his head and body rotaing to the outside of the blade stance so that his position is a difficult one to adapt to. His closing is like a flash of steel, his right hand moving up to her wrist and his left striking powerfully at the rear of the ball socket on her shoulder. "I would like very much to learn more about this Krang," he says calmly, his attempt geared to plant her into the wall in the stairwell for a pin.
