Cast of Characters: Grail, Diana Prince

Grail has posed:
Frankly, Grail was tired of waiting and tired of 'saving' these stupid humans from themselves. They have powered people here but they all seem like weaklings. The only one who seemed to have any power was the one called Power Girl and she fled. She wasn't sure she even had as much power as a proper New God. So, the daughter of Darkseid did what she does best. She took things into her own hands.

There'd be an alert at the entrance to the embassy that a strange grey woman with dark hair and solid red eyes was coming into the embassy grounds. Of course, then more alerts would go up as a security guard would walk up and ask her if she had an appointment and then get told something rather ominous.

"I'm making one, with your leader, right now." And then with speed that would impress even Wonder Woman, she simply bypasses the guard and pushes open the front door of the building with enough force to likely break the door off of more than one hinge. She then looks around, "So, this is where Amazons live?" She seems unimpressed.

Diana Prince has posed:
"It is." Comes a female voice from behind Grail. Word travels fast at the Embassy, and Diana had been given a heads-up not too long ago by Power Girl, to expect a guest like this.

With the double doors being thrusted open violently like that, a number of Embassy staff inside the lobby are shocked, and put-off by the sudden entrance.

But behind Grail now, stands Diana, in her full armored regalia. How she'd gotten there so quickly, and where she'd come from precisely, might be a mystery... but she's here now.

"And uninvited guests are asked to show some measure of humility." Diana further says before adding. "I am Diana Prince, Princess to the Queen of the Amazons, and who ... might you be?"

Grail has posed:
A slow grin grows on Grail's face at the voice, her eyes sliding to the side to look over her shoulder slowly. She turns deliberately, taking in the so called 'Princess' and she casually crosses her arms as she does. She smirks as she looks at the armor before shrugging and nodding her head.

"At least you look the part of a warrior...princess." She says the last word with an almost sound of derision, "And I don't do humility. I humble myself before no one and as for who I am? I am Grail. Daughter of Myrna Black and I have come to see my mother's people. So far, I'm not exactly impressed."

Diana Prince has posed:
"Well, none of us exist with any measure of interest in impressing you." Diana calmly replies to the other woman as she stands there in the doorway of the Embassy with the sun shining in from its afternoon angle in the sky.

"That being said, I am quite curious about this lineage, and how it might be connected, as you say. I cannot recall any stories of someone matching your... description, ever being told to me."

Some of the Embassy staffers are watching from the perimeter, a few of the security staff and some of the interns, as this is quite a curious... little event unfolding.

Grail has posed:
"Oh, maybe you should ask your mother, Princess." She grins a little, "I am betting she would have stories to tell." She laughs a little as she shifts to make sure she's watching Diana and then she tilts her head, "Of course, my mother and I never got to spend a great deal of time together. No, they would not allow that. Not for me." She laughs a little and clenches a fist.

"So, on this world with ice men, rhino men, and people clawing from below, what place do the Amazons have?" She tilts her head and looks past Diana briefly at the world beyond, "All I have seen thus far is a pile of weakness with a few powers peppered in. I am especially intrigued by the proud flying woman. What was her name? Power Girl?" She laughs and it comes from deep within her, carrying with it pain, suffering, and promise. With that she steps forward with enough speed to crack the air with a burst of sound and gets right into Diana's face.

"So, are you as weak as the flailing masses out there? If so, you're useless to me."

Diana Prince has posed:
The process of getting to know a new person like this is ever the interesting adventure, all in and of itself. Is Grail a threat? Or is she just another person who gained powers they didn't deserve, and is now suffering from the weight of over confidence and unbridled arrogance?

Time will tell.

Diana doesn't react when the woman snaps so close to her, so quickly. Her reflexes are unparalleled. She just watches the woman, sternly, but calmly.

"What makes you think I care whether you find me to be useful or not?" She quietly asks. "To be perfectly honest, I have no idea who you are... but everything that I have seen thus far, only makes me glad for that. Power Girl is a good friend, and a force to be reckoned with. I would not recommend underestimating her. But, I get the sense you do as you please... wherever you find yourself."

Grail has posed:
"Not always." She smirks a little and seems almost satisified with Diana's reaction before she chuckles a little and takes a step back, "You might be useful after all. No fear." She then nods her head, "That'll change. You and your whole world are ripe." She states simply and looks around at the area, looking at the people and she looks back out the door.

"You have people with power fighting amongst themsleves. Using their powers for their own gains. No direction. No purpose. What's out there." She gestures upward, "It is focused. Singularly focused and it does. Not. Get. Distracted." She states simply before she points at Diana.

"I came here becuase of stories my mother told me of a warrior race of women who, when provoked. Powerful women and here you are. In some small building amongst the weak and wistful!" She gestures out the door.

Diana Prince has posed:
"The amusing part to me, is that you think that this building represents all of which the Amazon people possess on this world." Diana replies to Grail softly. Her eyes glance around the interior of the lobby, then look back to the woman before her. "Your bravado is impressive... but it is unwarranted, and won't earn your any favors on this planet. You're also ... new here, and unless otherwise proven incorrect, that would mean you are /quite/ uneducated in what to expect here."

She lowers her tone to just a bit above a whisper then. "I would recommend toning it back just a little. You might get more that you desire that way..." She tells the other before showing the faintest smirk for Grail.

Now two more Amazon warriors arrive from the central hallway beneath the split main staircase. Both of them armored and armed. They stand side by side one another, watching the Princess and Grail...

Grail has posed:
"I have faced death. True death." She looks back at Diana and her eyes take on a burning iridescence. Her eyes containing two dark suns that war with her pale palor. Slowly it fades and she stares at Diana still, "I don't need favors. I need you and your people to understand that anything you think you're prepared for is nothing compared to what may come." She then looks at the pair that have arrived. Her eyes going over them and she smirks.

"That is what I expect." She gestures to them, "Not this facade of weakness and luxury." She grins and shakes her head before standing up straight, "As for what I desire? For now. Just your attention and here it is. My bravado has served me quite well. Whatever you or yours might bring, I assure you I am ready." She casually crosses her arms over her chest and leans on to one leg casually.

"YOu're right, I don't know what to expect here but trust me when I say, your world doesn't know what to expect either."

Diana Prince has posed:
Where Grail puts some of that bravado in to how she even stands, Diana just remains there with her hands at her sides, her eyes calmly locked on to the face of the other woman. The other two Amazon warriors take up positions with a bit of distance between one another, standing before the split staircases.

"We know that dangers lurk in the depths of space. Some of them have already come to our doorstep, and we've pushed them back. Are there worse dangers than what we have faced so far? Assuredly, as it seems there almost always are. But..." Now Diana puts her right leg out and starts to walk a few steps, measured and arguably slow.

"We, as a planet, as a cohesive global society, will always find a way to work together, to push back on the threats that so rudely push down our doors." She says, with a brief glance given to the door that was sprung off of its hinges.

Her eyes sweep back to that of Grail's then. "Your warning is well received. however. We shall take heed of it, I assure you, and should you wish to give any more details... beyond a vague warning? Well, those would be appreciated also."

Grail has posed:
"Details?" She chuckles and shakes her head before she turns toward said door and starts that way, without even asking further about things. She glances at the door and turns back to Diana.

"Lets just say, you would not want for those who know me to turn their eyes this direction." There's an almost haunted look for a brief moment that dances across Grail's face, her eyes glowing again briefly even as she then looks to the door she broke before looking back to Diana.

"It's often best not to speak of certain things or say some names unless you wish to invite their attentions." She then looks to the door again, "I am going to find out more about this world. See if there are any other impressive people who could be of use." She turns her head slightly without looking back, the barest hint of the profile of her face available to Diana.

"I don't know what you have faced but I assure you. When I say that there is something out there that is worse. I don't mean there are things that ARE worse. I mean there's one thing that is THE worst." ANd with that she turns to walk out.

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana had, of course, given the doorway for Grail to choose to leave should she desire to do so. She stands off to the side and watches her go as the woman gives those final words of warning. It causes Diana to lower her chin ever so slightly as she just considers what is said there.

"We will be here..." She notes on the woman's departure. "Should you need any ... further assistance."

There is not much else to be said, but as the woman leaves, the other two Amazons approach the Princess, and after Grail goes, Diana will speak over her shoulddr toward them. "We need to alert the Justice League about this one..." She grimly states, her eyes still out the front of the Embassy's open doorway.
