Lunch on high.

Location:	On top of one of the bridge.
Synopsis:	Sam saves and worried a bit about BEroe.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
It was another great shot. One where Beroe was on her skateboard, doing a slow motion breaking motion and riding the skateboard high on one end. Super duper! The camera got it and she was finally done for the day. It was then that Beroe was nodding to the photographer who was helping her, finally some shared events where she wasn't just using her phone. As soon as they were getting into the car to go home, though, there was a beeping, distinct, and definite from the movies.

In one moment, the photographer was in his car, and in the next he was falling a few feet, with his gear, nearby his apartment where he met Beroe. On the flipside, high in the sky and over the closest bridge (New York has a lot of them), a portal opens in the sky. Through it a flailing black haired, faux fox earred woman falls through. She is soon followed by a small rain of car parts, and some heat, but not much before the portal is closed.

And this woman, Beroe, is now... well, she's falling. Straight toward a bridge, "Oh, huh, didn't think that one through. Okay, okay, what do they say on all the adds, do I spread out wide to slow down, or do I scrunch up to be a smaller target? Huh, um, hmm." And she grabs her phone, with wild thumb movements she's trying to look up 'what to do if you find yourself suddenly falling'... can she figure it out in time, will it save her? What will her fans think if she is squashed? Will the fashion donations survive!?

Sam Guthrie had worked a full shift on duty today, after coming in early. He decided to grab some food before going home and anted a quiet place to eat when you can fly it is easier to find those spots. He has his pizza open getting a slice when he sees the portal open. He knows a few portals, is that Clarice, or maybe Pixie, from the distance it is hard to tell at first, but if it was Pixie, she would have spread her wings by now. He will stand and with a running start is jumping off the bridge with a roar his blast field engages. The young man known as Cannonball can see it is not one of his friends as he gets closer, but still plans on saving her He comes from an angle and snags her, without to much of a bump and is out from under any of the falling stuff "Ah got ya miss." He says to her.

Falling, falling, falling. The web is sure full of lots of distracting Youtube videos of people falling... when, blink blink. She looks up and over to Sam, who has her and is flying. She looks around, a bit confused, and then grins big, "Wow, you fly? That's pretty rockin'. I don't, clearly." And she chuckles a bit, "Where'd you come from? I mean, not originally, but around here somewhere? I was just, boom, and gone, it was pretty good, but I really need to get my targeting down." She smiles again, then sort of wiggles her arm up, putting it forward like a handshake offer, "Beroe, I'm Beroe. And thank you for ... oh, you probably can't shake my hand just yet. Do you mind if I get a selfie with you while we're flying, for my Insta? That would be stellar!"

Sam Guthrie look to her and seems to consider it. He will look to her "Lower my goggles over my eyes for me?" He normally does it but he was acting with a get her asap idea. He turns to head back towards the bridge "I was over there" He tells her. He is aiming towards the falling parts and blasts through them making sure to knock them away from any people and into the water The force field around them protects them from the items as he is moving towards the bridge after clearing up the stuff. Letting her get his goggles down and pic taken before he lands.

Beroe Kazinski says, "Oh!" And grins, "Right, secret identities, I'm so sorry. Does it help if I'm bad with names and faces? I'm not, but I can tell my fans that." She grins and then reaches out, working the goggles to get over Sam's eyes. Then she looks where he points, and she snaps her fingers, "Aww schucks, I was kind of aiming for there. I was WAY off. Next time, though, it helps if I'm familiar with the place. Beroe, you'll get this down. SOME-Day." And then once the goggles are down she holds up her phone with the selfie view, and gives a shocked view, before taking a snap, then a few more with different facial expressions indicating surprise and happiness. Before she starts typing on her phone again, putting up a post with a caption <<I was just totally the Damsel in Distress guys, and got rescued by a great guy hero. Check it out, I'm flying!!!>>"

Sam Guthrie will land with her, and says "So, you do portals Ah take it? What happened, that looked like bits of metal and Ah thought Ah saw a steering wheel in that stuff." He sets her down once he has landed. It seems the guy must work out at least on a semi regular base, he was holding her with ease. "You feeling ok?" He asks and wonders if this is someone Negasonic follows.

Taking in a big breath, Beroe lands, and gets on her feet pretty steadily but looking around some, not really taking in how high you both are now with much seriousness. Clearly not afraid of heights, "We are so HIGH up. You are definitely a better hero than me, but keep my name known, I'll push up the leaderboards." Then she pauses and her face gets a surprised look, quickly she texts someone, "Oh, whew. My photographer is safe, annnnnnnd most of his equipment. I rescued them first, but yeah, I do... portals? I call them pockets, cause..." She pats the sides of her mini denim shorts and then shrugs, "Girl clothes." And she opens a small portal, pushing her arm into it, and when it returns she doesn't have her phone in her hand anymore. As if to demonstrate, "I'm fine, though. I tend to be, I might have a luck power as well, or something? That'd be cool. My mom really hasn't explained it a lot to me, says it's better if I focus on just a few things at a time. My pockets, my career, my followers, already a lot, what about you though?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie hmmms a bit to this and nods his head a bit to this and says "Know a few with portals, but not seen them used like that before it makes sense." He comments, and now that the camera is off, he lifts the goggles back off his eyes and says "I'm Sam, so powers run in your family?"

There's a bit of a shrug, and Beroe is walking along the edge of the bridge top, before looking to the pizza, "Oh, my gosh, did I interrupt your lunch? I'm sooooo sorry. Feel free to keep eating, I don't mind, at all." She offers and then takes a seat on the edge, crossing her legs at the ankles and dangling them, rocking a bit with extra energy, "Hi Sam. That's a great name. Bam. Short, easy to remember, just like, right there. Easy to scream if I'm falling off a building!" She chuckles and grins big, as she looks out, "Wow. You get this view ALL the time? And, oh, no. Well, I ... don't know. My mom is my adopted mom, not sure who my parents are. Adoption records and all that, and really, I don't want to know so much. My mom is my mom is my mom, and I know whoever gave me up, probably needed to, you know?"

Sam Guthrie nods a bit and says "You want some?" He offers her some of the pizza, and a can of coke from the six pack he had with him. "Ah just decided to have lunch up here today not a place Ah come a lot, but it is a pretty good view yea. "So what happened you had to save yourself and your cameraman from?"

"Are you sure? That's super nice of you." And Beroe takes a slice of pizza after settling the coke next to her, "Well, we got into the car, to go back to my apartment. He picked me up from there, I normally have to walk, and then well, there was some kind of beeping. It sounded just like a bomb and that's when, boom. I can be pretty quick, sometimes, I watch a lot of action movies so I caught on fast. He should be home, probably gonna have to file an insurance claim, but got the most important things safe. Him and his gear, then, I got myself out of there. And then you saved my life!" She adds at the end, as she takes a quick little bit, making sure not to mess up her lipstick while eating.

Sam Guthrie looks over to her, and nod a bit to this "Where ere you if you don't mind me asking." He bring a text message up labeled Captain. "Ah should let some folks know about this if there was a car bombing. Someone specific got it in for you?"

There's a pause, "I didn't even think about that. Maybe they were coming after ME?!" Beroe gasps, and her eyes get bigger, "Does that mean, I have an arch nemesis? My first nemesis?! Oh my gosh, that's amazing. I bet they are totally stalking my Insta. Which means, they are also providing good feedback results for my endorsements. Hopefully they'll buy something from them, these small businesses can't get a break, and that's the real crime..." She pauses and grins, "Oh, right. I was by Apollo's Cafe, at..." And she looks up and provides the address before, taking in a deep breath of the pizza, "This is really good."

Sam Guthrie will send a message out and says "The police will want to talk to you and having an arch nemesis is not really aa good thing." He tells her, and adds "They may have been after you, the photographer, or maybe even some other reason, but the officers will try to figure it out.

With that comment, Beroe offers, "You know, I always forget to call the police. I should start doing that more. But, they delay and delay, but I guess it's because they need to do things by the book. Which is also good, keeping people safe." And she nods her head, "Oh, I know, you are right. It just means, maybe I've finally MADE it. You know? Like, people are thinking of me as a real hero! Well, I hope they aren't after my camera guy, he's cool, and was super nice over Craigslist - especially after he saw my Insta." With that, she ohs, "Are you on Instagram by chance? YOu could be, super tall, you could rock some men's fashion, and with the whole flight thing? A sure winner."

Sam Guthrie looks over and says "Nothing more than just personal use, Ah am actually a cop, but most folks don't know about the powers" he admits "You know letting people know who you are and doing the hero thing is dangerous for not just you but others around you too right?

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"Hmm?" Beroe questions a bit, and then smiles, "Oh, wow! You can FLY and are a cop as well? That's sooooo cool. I bet that means you do twice as many good works as a normal hero. By day, Sam, by Night, Goggles Man. Or, whatever your hero name is, if you have one. I don't mean to presume, I don't. I'm just Beroe." She chuckles a little as she takes another bite of pizza, listening to the dangerous part, "I know, that's why I'm out there. Doing my part to make the city safer! I'm still learning though, like a heroine in training, without a trainer, but did you know there's a whole channel on power usage on Youtube? It's pretty extensive."

Sam Guthrie 's bro raises and says "No Ah did not know it, but for a little info normally you want to hide who you are so the bad guys can't target your loved ones." He offers and says "And also, you may want to figure a name before media gives you one.

With a quick scrunch of her brow, "Is Media a new app or something?" She questions, and is already reaching out sideways, grabbing her phone from the 'pocket' she creates, and from this angle it shows the portal's otherside might be in a bedroom, there being a charger she pulls the phone off of. And then her thumbs are busy typing away, scrolling through, "I mean, my followers already know me as Beroe, and it'd be pretty tough to change my name completely just for a new platform. Maybe I could add a nickname, but still use my name? My profile is CuteLikeAFox already, is there someone called Cute Fox, or Foxy Girl, or something? Though I don't always have on fox ears, these are just cute with this outfit." Completely going past the loved ones segment of the conversation to the most important piece for her.

Beroe Kazinski will quickly add on then, as she's looking over her phone, "I don't see this App. I wonder if it's on iPhones only. They do that sometimes, but it can't be that big then. I will probably stick to the big three - Instagram, Twitter and TikTok, for now."

Sam Guthrie says, "AH meant more the newspapers." He explains. He has dealt with clueless before but usually thats an alien, or someone raised in a fake ancient Rome. "So your trying to help folks thats a good thing.""

"Ohhhhhh, you don't look that old. You must've aged super well." Beroe smiles at you, not joking, as you say newspapers. "I usually refer to those as classic media, or old media, or dead media if the person I'm around is a bit more gothy or not super positive. It helps me connect with them." And she takes another bite of her pizza, wiggling her feet from this height, "So, Sam. How long have you been hero-ing? Professionally, or otherwise? Are you a detective, or a beat cop, or stuck behind a desk all day?"

Sam Guthrie looks to her, and says "Special unit, deals with the weird stuff." He explains. He did come from a small town am super paper media lasted longer there for sure. "Ah don't think Ah that much older thank you." He offers "And heroing, ell a few years." He does not give an exact date, not need to help people think underage heroing is a good idea, even if he did it.

With the answer, Beroe nods her head, as if she knows what you are talking about, "Wow, I think I've heard of a special unit. They have all sorts of abilities to stop folks with abilities. Or something like that, right?" She questions and smiles, "I'm not THAT weird though, so hopefully you aren't undercovering me." As she finishes off the slice of pizza after many many small bites, "Oh, hey, that picture of you and me is trending pretty well, they like the flying part, I'm seeing good comments." She looks down at her phone as she's commenting, and then puts it away again through a portal. "A few years? I've been doing it a few years too! You must be exceptional, just, figuring out how to manage all your powers so quickly. Mine are a bit... unreliable still."

Sam Guthrie looks over and says "Well my powers are rather straight forward took some time to get control of them, but with practice you ill get better, better to practice in non combat mode though.

Beroe Kazinski has posed:
"They are? So, do you only fly then? Or do you do other things?" Beroe was probably looking at her phone more than paying attention while you were flying around and taking care of car pieces." She looks over to the can of soda and pops the top of that, letting it fizzle, as she takes a quick sip. "Practice in non combat mode? I mean, I think I've got a fairly good grasp of my powers in normal everyday use. But yeah, you are probably right, I should figure out if there's a training camp, or something I can go to."

THere's a little huh, question, and Beroe wonders, "All around your flight? That's totally cool. It's nice to have a single primary power like that. Means you get to be a total expert super fast." She continues to grin, even while she was falling, she was smiling though.
