Cast of Characters: Billy Batson, Sunny Harlow

Billy Batson has posed:
With one magic word, Billy Batson took to the skies. He was feeling so good after his date that the jolt of transforming, the rush was muted. H flew through a flock of seagulls, nearly hit the top of Mount Justice, and scared the hell out of a couple of linemen for the county, before he wisely turned North from Happy Harbor and followed the Hudson up towards Manhattan.

As he floated along, almost lazily, he pondered a second date and finances. He had to admit, Sunny had more money than him and this could be awkward. He paid his way and he pulled his weight, darn it! He wanted to get her roses, not daisies, but roses were $60 a dozen.

Oops, more seagulls. "Holy Moley! Beat it!! Shoo!!"

Sunny Harlow has posed:
More money? Maybe, but a lot of her money went back into school and saving. It was lucky that she didn't have to live in the city, since one supersonic flight tended to cut down her commute! Still, today Indestructibelle was on patron, weaving her way through New York and then coming to settle herself down on the 'crown' of the Statue of Liberty, giggling a little as she stretched out. Even a few years on, the flying? It never got old...

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam flies by the Statue of Liberty. He used to meet Fire and Nitro there, and it was where 'Uncle Achilles' introduced himself. So he gives the Lady in the Harbor and look and sees a familiar blonde on the crown. Quick as thought he swoops down. To a normal human he might seems to appear out of thin air. that was usually Darla's thing. He thought he did a smart job of it.

"Hey Indestructibelle! You picked a good place for a look out or a break. May I join you?" He does the classic hero pose, standing in midair, fist on hip. Big smile. Like Superman in those licensed posters... which he totally does not copy! He tilts his head more and only has one fist on his hip!

Sunny Harlow has posed:
A laugh, a lift of her hands to wave and then she jerks her head to indicate the space beside her. "Go ahead and sit yourself down. I was taking a little break to share the view with Lady Liberty for the time being." The blonde tilts her head, gesturing with a sweeping arm to the harbour. "What do you think?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam sits next to her, flipping his cape out of his way. "This is ne spot I used to hang out on a lot. Be careful, sometimes paparazzi hang out here. Not so much now... but I remember Thunderbolt met me here in her human form and she was crying on my shoulder about guy troubles and these paparazzi show up! I grabbed her and flew off but... those guys actually had a copter too. It was a while before we could grab a cloud so she could transform. We all say the name to change. I was afraid if she did say it the lightning would also turn me back to Billy. This would be awkward. When we got high enough, I dropped. But... a fifteen year old kid, carrying his big sister... and she was actually bigger at the time... awkward. We get along better now. She's awesome."

"You tell her that and I'll get even."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"I...think that was a hell of a lot to try and keep up with," Sunny points out, snickering. "You get that I don't -know- your siblings yet, right? Can't really dob you in." Smirking a little, she looks back out at the city before flopping back and stretching out a little. "Besides, at least you don't have to worry about it with me, right?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam takes a moment to take in the stretch before answering. "I'll have introduce you when you feel ready. Sorry. I run my mouth when I'm a little nervous." He puts his hands out behind hm and winds up with one over hers. He shifts a little awkwardly. "Sorry?"

"Hey, you see that?" He points to the South, a patch of sky turning dark over South Brooklyn. One limitation of the Shazam form, he has sharp eyes but the plethora of vision powers a Kryptonian wields were not his. Maybe she can see better than a human?

Sunny Harlow has posed:
Doesn't seem like she can, but at least she squints a bit before making to zip upwards, folding her arms under her bust. "C'mon, we should probably get a little closer and make sure things are alright."

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam gets up, adjusts his backpack and says, "Sure. Race you!" He's gone in a flash... well like lightning actually. When he opens up he trails lightning, making him easy to follow. Unless she's faster than he thought. Shazam for his part only edges the sound barrier. Though it's more a strongly worded suggestion to him than a barrier. Is he showing off for a girl he likes? Absolutely.

Sunny Harlow has posed:
She'll keep up...but not quite want to push past the sound barrier lest she break something she didn't want to on the way in. Zooming in with her cape trailing behind her, the girl didn't seem bothered by the lightning. Was she lightning proof? Sunny had no idea...she's not been struck by lightning before after all.

Billy Batson has posed:
Maybe he's feeling a little silly. Shazam slows up to fly alongside her. Maybe she'll hold his hand? Mind on business Shazam!. Their spd eats up the distance, though now mist and a drizzle obscures their vision. As they fly through a break in the mist, Shazam pulls up to take in the view.

"Ho-Oh Boy!"

Billy Batson has posed:
Breaking through the clouds, the two flyers see an enormous waterspout. Waterspout? In Brooklyn? Apparently Brooklyn can get waterspouts. The vortex ix moving North into Jamaica Bay and land. A freak storm. Down below a private cabin cruiser is being nearly swamped by the waves, its passengers in danger of being thrown off.

Holy Moley!

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"Is...is that a supervillain's work or...?" Sunny begins before shaking her head and taking off in a rush of motion. Could she lift the boat? Probably not...but she could probably stabilize it and push it to safety...right? Well, she was going to find out!

"I don't suppose you can make that...not?" she calls back to Billy. Assuming he'd followed her into the storm close enough to hear it.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam motions for her to go. The wind makes talking hard. He streaks up into the waterspout. He's amazed he actually has to fight the wind, is conscious of the chill, though it doesn't do much to bother him. This is the second time in a week he's accessed the full power of Zeus. He doesn't do it lightly. Fighting through the rain and wind he emerges in the center of the vortex and gathers the lightning.

He finds himself worrying a little about Indestructibelle. Her powers are still very unknown to him and possibly her. Most supers can't keep up with Shazam and she's the sort to put herself in harm's way without a second thought. He puts those thoughts aside. He will disperse this weather, now and avoid harming her. Lightning gathers at his fingertips, runs along his arms to build over his emblem, sparks shooting from his eyes.

Power of Zeus.

Sunny Harlow has posed:
Dealing with the whipping winds and heavy pelting of water? It kinda sucks. After all, flying up into space was more comfortable than this! Groaning a little, she does at least seem to be winning at pushing the boat onwards. After all, she had to balance out where she put the pressure or else putting all her strength into a single point might cause a hull breach.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam channels. The lightning flows through him. Make that 'The LIGHTNING flows through him!" Miles lower and a distance away, Indestructibelle feels the concussion! The light is like a nuke going off. Shazam is stunned by it as the vortex slowly disapates, the waves begin to die down and Indestructibell's job becomes a but easier.

But when he opens his eyes, he is Billy Batson, a mere mortal and not immune to the laws of physics, or biology. Several miles up, there's barely enough oxygen to sustain life. He passes out almost immediately, the word barely on his lips. "Sh..." The cold grips him as he begins to fall and everything goes blank. He still trails a nimbus of lightning.

Sunny Harlow has posed:
Alright! The boat was stable, the wind was dying down, things were getting easier and the day was saved! Awesome stuff! She actually turns her head now towards the direction of Shazam...and instead spots Billy decending from the vortex's site in freefall, lightning still crackling around him and showing no signs of turning back.

"Crap-Crap-Crap-Crap!" she hastily breathes before she twists and takes off at speed, her arms coming to catch him...but it's gently, a slow slowing that basically worked like a bungie jump, arresting the movement slowly rather than letting him simply break against her arms. As for that lightning? Well...it was probably going to sting or at least tickle!

Billy Batson has posed:
This magic lightning is more lightning than magic but fading rapidly. It tingles like Sunny's whole body fell asleep and she moved it before circulation was restored but it passes quickly.

Billy lets out a moan and opens his eyes, "Whut? Oh... thanks I might have hurt someone if I fell on them. I can fly now, thanks." He tries to wiggle out of her arms and realizes he is not flying in any manner, and she's a lot larger than she was when he last saw her. He gives a 'meep' out, and quite forgets his magic word for a moment. He holds on tight! He gives her a silly grin. Actually he can see what Lois Lane likes about this sort of thing, and Sunny is a lot prettier than Superman! He presses his cheek next to hers. Bad form to kiss the superhuman flying you around. All though if she wants to kiss him he's in position.

Sunny Harlow has posed:
No lasting damage and no movement, a little grin from Sunny as she clears her throat and nods down at him. He's not quite so big and lightning-y. A little press back of her cheek to his before she squeezes him a little tighter and starts to fly away from the scene and to find somewhere to set him down safely and out of sight.

"So...freak storms in the middle of us trying to get lunch together. Is that a bad omen...or good luck since we were both in the same place to help?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam gives her a squeeze back. He hopes she feels it. "Any time I get to spend with you makes me feel lucky." he gives her cheek another nuzzle, encouraged by the hug. "Yeah I'll wait till you set me down. The lightning is a little over powered after I use this power. This happened one time before. But I was on the ground. It's a little embarrassing. I'm glad it was Indstructibelle to the rescue."

Sunny Harlow has posed:
A little giggle, she continues their flight, headed towards a rooftop where they wouldn't be observed. "I'd rather not be blasted. I don't think Spandex is an insulator after all...and latex might give people the wrong idea so..." she trails off, settling down and letting him stand with a smirk. "Well, all in a day's work 'Citizen', right?"

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy gives her a playful swat on the shoulder. "Next rescue is on me. And the next date you mentioned!" He looks around from force of habit. Drones are a thing! He speaks the word, catches the lightning. Shazam adjusts his cape.

"Honestly under normal circumstances, the transformation doesn't damage anything around me. It is noisy and bright but it wouldn't blow your costume away..." He snorts. "But I respect your wishes." Oh, he tilts his head to look her in the eyes. Since he's taller now.

Sunny Harlow has posed:
"I'll hold you to it," Sunny offers as she steps back, shrugging her shoulders as he changes back before folding her arms under her chest and then making to hover a little. "I'm going to do a fly around and make sure everyone is okay back there, then I'll be heading home."

A little shift, she leans forwards and kisses his cheek from her floating position. "Thanks for a wonderful day, and the help!"

Then she's off, a streak of white, red and blonde headed skywards.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam flies homeward. He didn't graze those treetops. You grazed them. Power of Zeus. Women love the Power of Zeus.
