Date of Scene: 06 October 2022
Location: Hot Joe Coffee
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Koriand'r, Hellboy

Koriand'r has posed:
Coffee, cakes, sweets and pie! All were delicious, all were wonderful...and currently a certain orange-skinned alien was bending down and peering at the things on the other side of the display case, a bite of her lip as she pondered what indulgence might strike her fancy today...completely unbothered by any looks her strangeness or celebrity might be gathering.

Hellboy has posed:
To a demon who was born in the fires of hell, everything is cold. Hellboy could wear that big, nebulous coat and tee shirt or go topless and he wouldn't feel any more uncomfortable either way. Today, he's opted to wear a shirt (and coat) as well as shoes to get service.
Hellboy can be a bit of a teenager, sometimes. In this precise moment, he stops to check out the bent-over orange girl, unaware if she's an alien or a mutant, but recognizing she's attractive in either case.
Hellboy gets distracted from the girl by the things the girl is looking at. He bends over next to her, shoulder to shoulder with his hands on his knees. He turns to get just a little closer. His eyes focused on the sweets, he says, "What do you think, the cinnamon coffee cake?"

Koriand'r has posed:
Ironically enough, Kori might seem the exact opposite, she never tended to seem dressed for the cold. At least today's costume wasn't one of the more revealing ones. Still, she does however blink as she's addressed, but it's only a moment of a sideways glance. Oh, a bright red man. Neat. It didn't seem to bother her in the slightest. Hell, she might even recognize him as a demon but...well, one of her friends was half-demon and she was great!

"I was thinking something sweet, maybe with the apple or strawberry, but I am unsure which is superior," she explains, turning her head towards Hellboy finally. "What is it you think is best?"

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy makes intensely close eye contact with this green-eyed lady, raising a brow. "There's only one way to find out," he says. He raises his hand. "Hey!" he barks. He points with his left hand toward one of the barristas. "You. C'mere." She nervously comes there, at least behind the counter opposite the demon. "Give us two each of the strawberry things and the apple things, and I want the cinnamon coffee cake." She puts gloves on and starts getting a slice of-- "No, the whole cake," Hellboy corrects her.

Koriand'r has posed:
Most would be shocked, or consider it gluttonous...but most weren't an alien superhero with a near insane metabolism. A little excited noise and she brings her hands together, straightening up. "Of course! Trying them all! Brilliant...I should have thought of that." Was it possible for someone to be this excited about food? Well, it had been a long day of both heroics -and- her day job! "I would also like a hot cocoa...the drinking liquid, not the powder."

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy laughs once. "Ha!" he laughs. He then holds up a peace sign with his left hand. "Make that two, and also chocolate milks for both of us." He looks at Starfire. "Anything else?" he asks her with a playful smile on his face.

Koriand'r has posed:
A shake of her head, Koriand'r moves to lift a hand and point towards the tables and booths. "The space to eat seems small, we probably couldn't fit anything more there...and it is a good amount. I think otherwise one might find themselves in the 'coma of food'." All this time and her species tricks with languages and there were still some slang and phrases that tended to not quite fit when it came to Starfire's speaking.

Hellboy has posed:
"Ha!" Hellboy laughs again. "I like that. The coma of food." Hellboy extends his Right Hand of Doom, letting the girl of unknown power take it at her own liesure, rather than having a crushing Right Handshake of Doom for her hand, potentially.

Koriand'r has posed:
Well...she had a heck of a handshake strength about her, but she wasn't going for the crushing either. Instead she simply keeps it firm and doesn't seem to recoil before nodding her head. "I am Koriand'r of Tamaran...or simply 'Kory' if you prefer. Thank you for your sharing of food."

Hellboy has posed:
Given that the Right Hand of Doom was unyielding to virtually any force, and that Hellboy couldn't feel through it, he still has no idea of her strength. "Nice to meet you, Kory," Hellboy says, making a decision. He thumbs back over his shoulder with his left hand toward the eating area she'd pointed out. "Why don't you have a seat, and I'll settle up the bill and join you."

Koriand'r has posed:
Food -and- she wasn't going to have to pay for it? Maybe this was a really good day! Clearly more people needed to experiece random demons appearing and providing them with pastry! Giving a nod, she happily made her way to the booth indicated, dropping her behind into the seating and waiting.

Hellboy has posed:
In a few moments, Hellboy joins her and slumps down into the opposite side of the table, putting his Right Arm of Doom up on the back of the unoccupied chair next to himself. "Shouldn't be long. Everything's already prepared." He snuffs at the air and seems to be considering Starfire intensely, making solid eye contact for a moment before he says, "So, where's that place you said you were from? Europe or outer space?"

Koriand'r has posed:
"Space," she answers simply, almost casually even. Still smiling, she lazily rest her elbows on the table. "I am from the planet of Tamaran, but I have come here to Earth and it is like another home to me." A pause, Starfire tilts her head. "You are a demon, yes? I have met demons before, though most are less friendly." Well, that was certainly forward!

Hellboy has posed:
Hellboy glances at the patrons of the bar, at least one of whom has a cell phone camera out taking a picture of the two together. He looks back at Starfire. "Yeah, well," he starts, shifting a little in his seat, making it squeak. "I'm not typical in lots of ways."

Koriand'r has posed:
No mind is payed to the camera phone as Kori awaits the feast of pastry and cake, a bright smile from the green-eyed girl as the drinks were brought their way first and a sip was happily taken. "It's a big universe," she offers lightly. "I don't think 'Typical' is even typical from what I have seen. Especially here on Earth!"
