Date of Scene: 23 April 2020
Location: Emma's Suite - Hellfire Club
Synopsis: After the night at the club, Alex and Emma have a honest conversation about what happened and how they feel.
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Alex Summers

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma had made her way up to her apartment once it was clear everything was going smoothly enough without her needing to supervise. Once she got inside her place, she grabs a bottle of sparkling water from the fridge and uncaps it, sitting it on the counter. She kicks off her shoes, letting them land haphazardly on the floor by the kitchen cabinets. She sighs, moving into the living room and tugging open the pristine white curtains just enough for her to look out the window over at Central Park.

Alex Summers has posed:
Eventually, there will be a knock at the door as Alex arrives. Normally he could just use the keycard, but he tries to be polite aobut intruding on Emma's space.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma let's the curtain go, moving back to the door and opening it with a resigned sigh. "Tessa, I'm--" She sees that it's Alex, and stops herself. "Oh." Her face falls a little bit, misinterpreting why Alex didn't let himself in. "Hey. Did you want to come in?"

Alex Summers has posed:
"Well yes, but I didn't want to bust in if you wanted some time to yourself either." Alex says easily, stepping inside. "It's your place..."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma steps back, letting him in. "No, it's fine. I thought you might not //want// to come up after what happened." She folds her arms across her chest defensively, drawing in on herself a bit.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex furrows his brows a bit, shaking his head as he closes the door behind him. "Of course not." he says, dismissing that. "Why wouldn't I want to? I just thought you needed a little time to cool down."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma snorts. "Well, there were the comments I made about your prowess, for one," she comments dryly. She moves over closer to him, peeking up at him, chewing her lower lip. She carefully lowers her arms from her chest, trying not to throw herself into his.

Alex Summers has posed:
"I won't lie, I wasn't expecting you to throw that in Betsy's face." he admits, stepping forward as she moves closer then sliding his arms around her. "I wasn't expecting you to be so explosive together, though. You know I"m not going to go to her, right? I have the person I picked, and I'm happy with her. She's someone I know from the mansion, maybe a friend, but I'm not planning on running off with her. No matter how she acts."

Emma Frost has posed:
"If I had thought you might," Emma says, snuggling against him, "I'd have just let you. If you don't want to stay why force the issue?" She sighs. "It's a respect thing, and she is..." she snorts, anger welling up. "She seems to want to lay a claim. I'm not spending any time I go to Xaviers or out in my own club worrying about having to deal with this. She threw down a gauntlet. I picked it up and hit her with it. That's all." Emma sniffles a little bit, blinking rapidly, burying her face in Alex's shoulder for a moment. She grits her teeth. She won't allow this to affect her. She wasn't that weak anymore like she used to be.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex slides a hand up to cup the back of Emma's neck, watching her quietly. "...that sleeping around thing hit you hard, huh?" he ventures after a moment. He's not a complete dummy...if a woman runs off to the bathroom and comes back without makeup....usually it means because the makeup ran due to tears or such, after all.

Emma Frost has posed:
"It was unfair and utterly untrue," Emma mumbles. "And I don't throw myself at anyone like she seems to, either." Her shoulders quake a little bit.

Alex Summers has posed:
"I don't know, she's only sort of thrown herself at me." Alex says dryly. "I didn't think I was flirting with her the one time I met her before I met you, but apparently she took it that way. I was trying to be friendly." He sighs. "And yes, it's unfair and untrue. I don't think she's as promiscuous as suggested either."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma giggles a bit. "Well, you were being friendly with me when we first met, and now look at us." That... actually doesn't make her feel better, come to think of it. She sniffles again, starting to cry into Alex's shoulder. She catches her breath, trying to stop herself from doing so, unsuccessfully. Which just leads to a choked sobbing noise escaping her lips.

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex blinks a bit as Emma breaks down into tears, squeezing her gently. "Hey hey hey...it's okay." he says softly. "Shhhh...." He strokes her hair soothingly as he holds her, letting her get it out. "She didn't ask me out. YOu did, and that's that. And the only reason I wasn't more flirty is because I didn't think I had a chance with someone like you."

Emma Frost has posed:
"I had--" Emma sniffles, unburying her face from his shoulder, "an unfair advantage." Her eyes are a bit puffy and her cheeks are streaked with tears. "I could hear you thinking you didn't have a chance." She gives him a wry grin. "Cheating."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex hmmphs, then leans down to scoop Emma up, carrying her over princess-style to the couch, then seating himself and setting Emma on her lap. "That is cheating, yes...but you still didn't have to ask me..." he murmurs, resting her against his chest.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma snuggles into Alex's arms, not protesting in the least at being scooped up and carried to the couch. She sighs. "Hmph. You shouldn't have been so interesting," she teases. She rubs her face ruefully. "I must look awful. I can feel how stupid and puffy I am." She frowns. "I'm sorry about earlier. I just... I don't want... "

Alex Summers has posed:
"It's fine. Don't want what?" Alex says curiously as he rubs her back gently. "And you look fine too, you aren't stupid for losing your temper over things, or purffy looking or such." He tilts his head. "What about it upset you so much?"

Emma Frost has posed:
"To lose you," Emma murmurs, looking down. "Just... how would you feel if someone like..." she tilts her head, considering people they both knew that would be fantastically handsome, "Mm. Like Warren. Say he pulled me into his lap in front of you like we are now, and just gave you an 'oops' sort of look as he did?"

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex's lips twitch. "I'd be pretty pissed at him." he admits. "And I'd probably pull you away and tell him to not be a jackass."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma mms. "What she did was subtler. But the same, really. Men tend to be more direct about it. So... basically, yes. I did what you would have done in the similar sort of situation, just... differently." She sighs. "I love you, Alex." She glances away. "It's not just a game for me."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex smiles at that, then leans in to give Emma a soft kiss on her cheek. "Love you too." he murmurs. "And I never said it was...and she's not taken the hint, so I guess I'll have to talk with her this time. I'd rather not completely break off talking to her, but if it's what it is, it's what it is." he murmurs.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma smiles softly, leaning against him and snuggling into his neck. "Mmph. About what John suggested," she winces as she recalls that, "I... don't really think I'm too interested in sharing you or being shared." There is a faint blush to her cheeks. "I mean. I... ah. Selfish I guess."

Alex Summers has posed:
Alex snorts, then mmms, turning his head to nuzzle Emma. "Me neither, really. I mean, I don't swing that way to begin with, and I didn't get the impression you were hugely into other women." He mmms. "I suppose it's theoretically possible if we both found someone we liked that much, buuuuuut I'm good with just you, personally."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma laughs. "I don't think I've put much thought into it," she admits. "But yeah. I'm fine with just you." She kisses him, gently at first, then growing a little more passionate.
