Ant-Man vs. The Ultraa Himbos
Date of Scene: 27 October 2022
Location: Scott Lang's House
Synopsis: Scott Lang's suffering at the hands of the Almeracian Empire continues as two Almeracian Himbos visit him looking for Maxima. Many ceilings and doors are harmed in the making of this episode.
Cast of Characters: Maxima, Scott Lang

Maxima has posed:
It has been over a year since the events of Scott Lang's abduction into space, the journey to the remains of Krypton and then to the Throneworld of the Almeracian Empire, followed by the restoration of an Almeracian city previously bottled by Brainiac. Over a year of relative peace, at least where the affairs of superhuman space amazons are concerned. But all good things must come to an end eventually.

Towards the middle of the day, the Lang residence is jolted by a crash, like something large has collided with the roof at incredible speeds, followed by sounds of splintering timber and crumbling drywall and then heavy footfalls in one of the upstairs rooms.

Scott Lang has posed:
Considering his dealings with Grail and Power Girl it was unfair to say Scott had much peace when it came to space amazons. But at least the Almeracians were a thing of his past allowing him to focus on more important things as he sat downstairs late at night watching the latest showing of pro wrestling, a bowl of microwaved popcorn on his lap, dressed in pajama pants and a well worn t-shirt that featured the nightmarish visage of the Annoying Orange from ten years back or more. A few chihuahua sized ants linger nearby on the couch and ground hoping for handouts, his daughter thankfully at her mother's.

The crash, the smash, the sound of thudding imperious steps. He KNOWS what it means after he jumps, the popcorn flying out of his lap, the mess it creates both miraculously and disappointingly cleaned up in record time as the ants swarm the fallen goodies. Scott looks down at them crossly, to the ceiling, then back to the ants with an almost pleading look on his face.

"If I turn the volume up and pretend I didn't hear it, would it work this one time?" he asks the mute insects, only one of which looks up at him, wiggles its antennae and then crunches noisily a bit of popcorn. Scott lets out a sigh and stands, carefully stepping over the nipping horde and heads for the stairs, sucking in a deep breath before he calls up, "Are we fighting or is this a social call? Cause I'm not dressed for fighting."

Maxima has posed:
<<Where is she?! She should be here!>> Comes a voice from above, a very masculine voice that would be more appropriate coming from one of the TV Wrestlers or a certain Austrian action star than an Almeracian Princess.

<<I don't know, but the signal from her Royal Beacon is definitely here!>> Answers another very similar voice only slightly different in pitch. It sounds like the ruckus is moving in the direction of Cassie's room, when it stops for a moment <<Wait did you hear that? I think I heard someone!>> And then the thudding footsteps resume in the direction of the staircase.

Scott Lang has posed:
"Hello? At least tell me the roof isn't too bad," Scott pleads. Even as he's saying it though the unfamiliar voices put him more on edge than he'd been showing before as he backs up a step and looks towards the kitchen. Cause he was hungry? No, because the Ant-Man suit was laying there draped over the back of a chair like a jacket someone couldn't bother to hang up in the closet. "This kind of thing never happens to Tony I bet," he mutters as he instead looks to the oversized ants that are done with their popcorn meal. He doesn't say anything but gives a jerk of his head towards the stairs prompting the mandible clacking insects to scurry over in front of him, some going up the walls and even on the ceiling forming a rather out of place looking barrier at the bottom of the steps.

As the pair presumably round the landing on the stairs coming down Scott does his best to look imposing in his stupid shirt and pants, surrounded by his bugs. "Hey there guys. Before we start, doors. I know other cultures have them. You probably have them. Door, right over there. All you had to was walk up to it and knock," his voice best defined as barely contained seething annoyance as he points to the front door and then follows with another of those deep, beleaugered breaths before he tacks on a big forced smile spreads his hands and claps them together. "But anyway what'd you all need to see Ant-Man for tonight anyway?"

Maxima has posed:
The two individuals who round the corner of the landing can best be described as refugees from a Masters of the Universe movie, if the movie were real. Two mountains of muscles, one brunette and the other sandy blonde, stand upon the landing wearing armor that barely qualifies as armor. Apparently it is not just the female Almeracians that consider armor to be a fashion choice.

<<We are looking for the Princess Maxima!>> Announces the sandy blonde young man who could easily be mistaken for an extra wall. <<Her Royal Beacon is here, what have you done with her Earth man?!>>

<<Haaanz we are being rude, did you not just hear him ask us to knock on the door? We should respect the Earth custom.>> The hulking brunette young man chides the first whose name is apparently Haaanz.

<<Oh, I got carried away in the moment. I am sorry Fraaanz. Let us respect the Earth Man's custom.>> Haaanz agrees and suddenly the pair take off, shooting upward back through the roof creating another fresh pair of holes in the ceiling, dry wall and splinters of wood raining downward in their wake.

A moment later there is a knock on Scott's front door, reminiscent of the first time he convinced Maxima to knock on the front door in that it goes flying off the hinges, across the room, and collides with the far wall. In the now open door frame stand the two incredibly muscular young men, Haaanz and Fraaanz. Their muscles probably have muscles of their own.

<<Excuse us Earth Ant Man, we are looking for the Princess Maxima, we detected her Royal Beacon somewhere inside your dwelling.>> Fraaanz informs Scott as if trying to start things over again.

Scott Lang has posed:
Scott doesn't take a deep breath for a third time, he just closes his eyes as drywall gently rains down on him as the two beefcakes vacate his stairs only to destroy his front door. In such familiar fashion. Scott is usually a very laid-back happy go lucky guy most would say. But now he's counting backwards from ten to keep from screaming, his teeth grinding hard enough together to make a very faint squealing sound. The pause of silence grows just long enough to be awkward before he answers loudly, and curtly from his position over by the stairs making no move to approach the pair.

"Maxima hasn't been here in over a year. I came with her to Almerac to help fix your city, a city which I did NOT put holes in I might add, and then she brought me back to Earth. I haven't seen her since. If you're detecting anything of her's here she must have dropped it back then. She had a scuffle with a monster here, it probably fell out of her..." Scott about to use the word pocket before realizing the Almeracians would have less idea what those were than they did doors. "Well it must have gotten knocked loose anyhow. She ain't here. If she WAS here she'd be a six and a half foot tall ginger amazon who breaks everything she touches and doesn't know what inside voice means. There's no way she's hiding ANYWHERE and there's no possible way I could do ANYTHING to her without her turning me into a fine paste. Does that about cover it?" Scott rants, his face turning gradually more red as he speaks to the two and his fingernails by now digging into his palms.

Maxima has posed:
<<Fraaanz he seems upset.>> The sandy blonde Almeracian musclehead Haaanz observes.

<<Maybe we did his knocking ritual wrong.>> Fraaanz seems thoughtful. Though they both seem to listen about as well as Maxima does even if they're perhaps a bit nicer about it.

<<If the Princess is not here,>> Haaanz somehow seems dubious. <<We must still recover the Royal Beacon as proof that we tracked her down or Ultraa will punish us.>>

Fraaanz grimaces at the mention of Ultraa and punishment. <<The signal is strongest in that room at the end of the hallway upstairs, we will need to search it.>>

That's Cassie's room. Scott may vaguely recall Maxima giving Cassie something shiny in recognition of her bravery after that horrible debacle with the dopplegangers.

Scott Lang has posed:
"Yes I'm upset! You broke my house! Three times!" Scott all but screeches, the ants surrounding him skittering back a bit and casting what can only be called nervous glances up at him as he throws his arms out wide, his eyes almost as bugged out as theirs. And with that exclamation the moment passes as he turns to the wall at the bottom of the stairs and thunks his head against it with a groan. Another awkward pause and then he lifts an arm to point at the pair.

"ONE of you can come upstairs with me and we'll find this thing. I don't need both of you in here breaking more stuff. Come on lets get her Royal Pain-in-the-butt's beacon," he grumbles as he starts heading upstairs, the ants skittering out of his path as he makes for Cassie's room. The vein throbbing on his forehead hadn't always been there and close observation would reveal at least a half dozen new gray hairs had formed in the last 5 minutes on his head.

Maxima has posed:
The two muscleheads just sort of look at each other for a moment. <<Can't you just reconstruct it with a matter manipulator?>> Asks Haaanz seeming legitimately confused by Scott's anger.

<<Let's deal with that after Haaanz. I will go with him to find the beacon.>> Franz says stepping forward. <<You wait here.>>

<<Are you sure?>> Haaanz seems dubious of Fraaanz going alone. <<General Ultraa said the Earth Man Maxima brought with her was very cunning, it could be a trap.>>

Fraaanz shakes his head, <<He seems nice, I'll be right back.>>

Haaanz is left eyeing Scott suspiciously as the latter leads Fraanz up the stairs towards Cassie's room. Once inside, the beacon itself is kind of glaringly obvious. Nestled among some cute stuffed animals is a metal object the size of a baseball glowing faintly and pulsing with a strange energy that seems to shift through different spectrums of colored light. It is not hard to see why any child would desire to possess and hoard away this thing as a 'really cool treasure<tm>'. Hopefully she won't notice if it goes missing...

Scott Lang has posed:
"Of course she'd just Cassie alien technology that lures large strange men to her room. Thank you Maxima," Scott says sarcastically as he picks the beacon out from amongst Cassie's toys and tosses it to Fraaanz. "There, your beacon, and no Space Princess hiding in my daughter's bedroom. See?" Scott going so far as to open Cassie's closet only for a small horde of toys to dump out at his feet. One might think by now he'd have asked why they were searching for her. Scott knows what that question will lead him to though. Stubbornly he keeps shut on the matter.

"Wouldn't be room for her anyway considering how she cleans. Alright is that it then or do you two need a coffee for the road or something?" the mental exhaustion obvious in Scott's voice. There was no way he was going out to fix the roof tonight. Maybe he could just enlarge a Ziploc and put it over the house to seal it till he got a contractor...

Maxima has posed:
Fraaanz catches the strange glowing alien device where he stands in the doorway. <<Yes, this is Princess Maxima's Royal Beacon, thank you Earth Man for your cooperation. But what was the Princess doing in such a place full of so many small soft creatures?>> It's almost like he is expecting the stuffed animals to move.

When Lang opens the closet he peers inside seemingly more fascinated than believing Maxima might be inside, though there could be a little of both. <<It is a shame the Princess is not here, but we will continue our search elsewhere.>> He says turning to trudge back down the stairs to where Haaanz is waiting, seemingly relieved at Fraaanz's safe return. One might get the impression these two don't spend much time apart, ever. <<Let us be off Haaanz. She is not here.>>

<<Okay Fraaanz. Goodbye small Earth Ma..Ant Man.>> Remembering to insert the 'ant' at the last moment, then the pair depart leaving Scott alone in his now hole-y house to contemplate what just occured.
