Date of Scene: 10 November 2022
Location: Garage and Armory - Historic Clocktower
Synopsis: Elektra and Babs chat a bit after the battle outside the Clocktower.
Cast of Characters: Barbara Gordon, Elektra Natchios

Barbara Gordon has posed:
Some time after the attack on the tower, Barbara is down in the garage within it. She's got the Batmobile up on a lift and is working underneath it on all the wide variety of 'things' that the car can do, causing it to ever be a monster of a ongoing project. She has the basics automated by robotic arms that are actually even moving around it right now, though they are designed to focus on the exterior elements, specifically the management of the armor plating across the vehicle.

Dressed in a black jumpsuit, with it unzipped down to her waist, and a red tshirt on underneath it, Babs has a pair of goggles on and is doing some spot welding to keep the vehicle's underbelly secure and safe when smashing its way through the city, as she had done the other night after picking up Colleen and Elektra.

There is some soft music playing in the garage too, some early 2ks era tunes. Sparks blast out now and then as Babs makes the welder do what welders do!

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra hadn't been shy in accepting the hospitality of the clockwork tower to remain for a few days. Had she even been told she could stay? Well, it's not like Elektra would ask for it. But maybe she didn't have to. It was that kind of silent understanding which meant Elektra found herself here tonight. And how long had she been here watching like a creepy ninja?

Who knows!

"A mechanic too." Her voice is heard from a counter where a few tools are. Arms folded. Hip against it. "Is there something you can't do?" the tease in her tone rather noticeable.

Marks of the other night are still visible on her body and face even if they are fading by now with the help of Balm and rest. She's dressed in a pair of black pants, black boots and a sleeveless workout shirt of a red color. It's truly her favorite colors.

"Your batmobile got a bit of a workout the other night, mmm?"

Barbara Gordon has posed:
When Elektra finds a moment to speak up, it makes Babs stop her work. She looks down from under the car and then steps out from beneath it, the light from the spotlights above now bathing down over her and her tied back red hair. She smiles at the Ninja and then sets her welding gear down on the tool table beside her car. "I think just about everyone did." She says in response with a light exhale. "And hey, I only go to Youtube for about fifty percent of my auto repair work." She says, raising up her tablet computer that is paused on some random car mechanic video. She shows another grin then before setting it down again.

She gathers up a rag then to wipe her hands off and looks back to the woman, leaning against the tool table now.

"Feeling better?" She asks. Babs HAD invited Colleen and Elektra to both stay as long as they needed, plus she was happy to have some support if a second wave of attacks came another night.

"You and your Ninja buddy planning any more wars?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
When Babs steps from under the car she will find Elektra's dark gaze down on her, watching Babs in that usual way of hers. Mysterious. As if she'd always know more than she is letting on. She does nod at that answer though. "True. We won by the skin of our teeth. If there hadn't been that rally of defenders coming to the tower...." she trails off, hand up to brush over that black hair of hers.

"I owe you. Again." The corner of her mouth curling up in the faintest of smiles. "It's starting to become a habit." then at the question if she's better she looks down at her hands, "Body is recovering well enough, but something feels off. When Black Sky died I felt it's ..." she considers the term, "... essence? Spirit? It entered inside me, and I do not know if it has to come out."

"Gotham should be safe of any further Hand attacks now. They spent too many resources, went too overt. Whichever of the masters did this the others will not stand for it." she certainly seems to know a lot on how the Hand works.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
As Elektra speaks, Babs steps around to the tall metal stool parked in front of the work bench. She leans back against it and places her dirty hands on top of her jumpsuit covered thighs. She just watches the mysterious woman and nods her head gently to what she says.

"Magic." Babs says after a few silent seconds pass. Another pair then and she clarifies. "I don't do magic." She shakes her head side to side and smiles ever so slightly. "I wouldn't even know where to begin. So this 'Black Sky' thing you mentioned? Way over my head..."

She draws in a breath then and reaches up to pull her goggles off of her forehead, then drops them on the bench to her left side. "Though, I got a few friends who dabble, to outright Master that kind of ... wild wild west thing. If you need some help with it, I can certainly point you in the right directions."

She smiles lightly again. "And you don't owe me. This has been interesting, and I get bored way too easily... which is how I ended up in all of this to begin with..."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Magic.." Elektra echoing that word, lips pressing to a thin line. "It's never been something I had much contact with." she admits, "Even when I was with the Hand. But there were always tales about Black Sky, their strongest weapon which would make them win the millenia war against their mortal enemies, the Chaste." she gestures with one hand. "It's a very long story. But I had a duty to stop this Black Sky. It's dead now, but I don't feel as if it's over.."

"And instinct never really failed me.."

The offer for help by having Babs contact some of her friends is met with a nod, "I would welcome it. But now that I am in Gotham ..., we should go to those labs soon. I haven't forgotten with have -another- war in our hands." with the Lycans.

It's those last words out of Barbara that gets that brow to arch just so. Amused. "Bored?" she gestures around the large garage. "You don't do all this just because you are bored, or need the excitement in your life.." she dislodges herself from the counter she was leaning against, approaching the other woman.

"This is who you are."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
There's just a casual calmness to Babs' stare as she watches Elektra speak on the Black Sky stuff. It really is out of her comfort zone though, so she can't speak much on it. "I hope you've taken care of it then." She says in a soft tone before she watches the woman push off and step toward her. She remains just leaning on the stool and tilts her head at the declaration of this being who she is. Her head tilts very gently to the side, she considers that.

"Maybe." She replies, an exhale slipping out there-after. "I mean... I love what I do. I love this Tower, and everything that we've made it to be. It's just what I picture that it could be, or at least most of it." She flashes a quick grin then. "Got a lot more to do, of course..."

She bites her bottom lip for a moment, her green eyes blinking a few times as she shakes her head. An exhale coming before her next words.

"There are so many wild, unexpected, things around every corner in this world though. I like to think that what I do, here, with all my friends... is designed to help stop the bad things, the kind of things that lead people like you and Colleen to getting chased by a veritable army of ninjas through a hyperloop tunnel." She says, grinning softly at Elektra then from her perch on the stool.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra Natchios says, "Spoken just like a perfectionist." Elektra comments when Barbara speaks there's a lot more to get done still, "It's something you can be proud of. Colleen chose to come here without hesitation when all that trouble happened back in New York." she admits, "It means she trusts you, and what you do here. And that's not an easy thing for her to do." a beat, "She's been burned too many times where it comes to trust."

The assassin stays close to Barbara now, just on that frontier connecting to Batgirl's personal space, watching her, "We all do what we can to make the world a better place. Even I, in my own way. But I chose the shadows, instead of the light like you did." her head then canting to the side and she grinning back at Barbara.

"You are never going to let me live it down, will you? Being pursued by an army right down to your frontstep?" she lets out a brief laugh. "Saying it out loud is amusing now. Not so much back then but ..."

Her voice softens, turns more intimate. "But at least it has made us meet again. There's always a silver lining."

And she takes a step forward."

Barbara Gordon has posed:
"Colleen is a ... person that you would under estimate at first glance." Babs replies initially. At first glance she's just a capable young woman, maybe even less than intimidating. But boy would you be wrong if you actually assumed that about her." She says with a sly grin.

Babs isn't looking when Elektra steps closer, she's turned to the side to get her tablet computer off the table and to swipe it away from Youtube. When she looks up again she sees Elektra a step closer and she just smiles at her.

"I got some information for you about your Lycan friends." She says then, holding that computer up in front of her chest. She turns it around a beat later and offers it to the woman now that she's right there in front of her.

"Your friend, Kraven. He made an appearance at a gala event just the other night. He swept in with some arm candy, made a big donation, drank a bit, and then left. Seems even if he's trying to hide, he has trouble doing it. But---"

Babs smiles at the other. "The car he came in, is registered to a wealthy socialite here in Gotham. They have a nice town house not too far away. I figure you might want to check it out sometime?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
That Barbara's attention is on the computer and not on Elektra is so typical Babs that it gets Elektra to grin amusedly. At least until she starts hearing what Babs is talking about.

The info being displayed about Kraven on the laptop gets Elektra's sharp gaze to finally turn there, leaning over to look directly at the screen. The smile that had been forming on her expression turns darker, "I would argue the lycans are now as much my friends as they are yours." she notes, holding the computer up with one hand when Barbara hands it to her.

"That's him.." she says of the pictures there, her other hand sliding back and forth on the photos. She snorts. "He craves attention. He can't help it. Yes, let's check it out." a beat, "And we still have that lab to search as well." she says, closing the lid on the computer and setting it back on the table.

"He must be feeling invincible, or that he very much won already, to be showing his face around like that." A pause and her tone gaining quite the deadly promise to it, "We will just have to show him that he's far from having won.."

It's clear those pictures of Kraven are bringing back old memories of him. And not the good type of memories.

Barbara Gordon has posed:
"Oh, I haven't forgotten." Babs fires back about the lab. "I've been researching it too. I have some floor plans, but they might be out dated. That Semira Group is not quite that forthcoming with their renovation information." She says in a quietly playful tone.

Standing up then from the stool, Babs steps around Elektra to stand beside her, her eyes going to look at the tablet computer also. "I think Kraven is living at that town house, and making his moves from it now. Semira Group has gone quiet, according to what I've read online. I think the internal conflict has had a impact on the company's ability to keep up what it does. Which means money is likely becoming an issue... though I may underestimate how much a Vampire coven can earn over the years." She looks over to Elektra beside her and smirks.

"Soon as you're ready to go out on this hunt though, you got me. Of course... the Semira site is in Manhattan, but that shouldn't be a problem. Just not my usual turf, so I'm lacking in some security and tech features there..."

"It's not as easy to blaze around on those streets in my wonderful car here either." She notes of the Babsmobile, which is still being worked on by the robotic arms right beside where the two stand now.
