Cast of Characters: Bunny Macleod, Rahne Sinclair

Bunny Macleod has posed:
It's getting cold in Brooklyn. The winds are beginning to rip through the buildings, howling along the sides of brick and sandstone and concrete, rattling the fire escapes and bringing with it the bitter promise of snow to bite at exposed ankles and make fingertips turn blue and white -- but for now?

It's a Monday night hang out, and Bunny's sent an invite to Rahne for something a little more quiet.

She'd gotten tickets for a 'museum after dark' tour of an art museum that specializes in Western European landscapes and still lifes, and there was a fancy buffet involved.

Bunny just had to sneak in, since it was supposed to be an 18+ event. She was wearing leggings beneath a black-top-and-neon-tulle-dress, and a pair of bright pink chucks.

And she's not even the most outlandishly dressed one.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne Sinclair is late.

She shows up almost half an hour after she'd been asked to show, out of breath and looking wet. She had to run through a shower to get here, and apparently the wet look does her no favours. She pauses to one side, looking for Bunny. She's wearing a brown shirt, long sleeves an a high collar, and a brown hat. It's a nice hat at least.

She looks around, the water messing with her super-nose, and doesn't immediately see or scent Bunny waiting. She looks, suddenly, devastated. Like she's certain she's missed her and it's all her fault.

She's one of those, yes.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny had patiently been waiting, but when she sees Rahne, she lights up, hops up onto the pipe railing separating walkways and gives an exuberant wave!

"HEY! RAHNE! RRRRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHNE! OVER HERE!" she calls out above the far more polite levels of conversation going on around them. Her pink hair has faded, no longer the neon bubblegum but settling back to something like cotton-candy sunset pink.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne is still just herself. The hat hides her red short hair, which is basically only there because it won't grow. Nobody ever asks, assuming that she likes it that short. But it's more complicated than that.

She lifts her gaze from her own boots, then sees Bunny's exhilarated form. That level of energy is contagious, and she manages a smile. Even if it is weak.

Raising a hand, Rahne signals the young skater and then starts trotting her direction. She comes up, hopefully hugging. She seems VERY down. "Hey, Bunny." Just that. She's had better days.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny has a sixth sense about people being down. Maybe it's because she hides her own all the time, but as Rahne approaches, she very unlady-like launches herself off the rail, thuds on the ground, and delivers A Hug to Rahne, wrapping her arms around the redheaded girl!

"Good to see you, Rahne. I'm glad you could make it!"

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
:squeezes Bunny tightly, for maybe a bit longer than necessary. But it was necessary to her, and Bunny's the type who'll let a person finish. Sometimes it's more important than you can know.

She pulls back, the body language shifting. And she reaches up to touch Bunny's nosetip, looking a little better. "Thanks." She lets that be enough, not a huge talker without good reason. But then she looks at the museum.

Then back to the Bun. "We goin t' see some art? Is a cute museum, kinda small."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny lets Rahne hug. She hugs back, even giving an extra squeeze at the end. The shorter girl gives a grin, and she looks up at the museum and gives an embarrassed laugh.

"Yeah, I won free tickets to the event tonight. An' I figured I drag you out to all these crazy noisy things -- maybe this is more your speed?" she offers, motioning upwards.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
"Well, le's find out." Rahne pauses to take her hat off, trying to get some of the water out, and looks up at the sky. "'Ro, could ya not?" she asks. The sky. She's talking to the sky. Then she puts the hat back on, and starts toward the front door.

She looks back at Bunny, checking to see if things are okay.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Yeah! Ro, could you not?" Bunny asks of the sky as well, and then accompanies Rahne, humming brightly.

"So... how's... things up at that big fancy school thing?"

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne gets in line. She pauses, then says, "One of m' teachers is actually Nature. Y' should meet her, she's pure fun." She's addressing two things at once, talking about the school while explaining her weirdness. And then, they're up front and Rahne smiles at the tired guy behind the desk.

"Y'got tickets?" he asks. Which we do!

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"I dunno. I gotta long standin' argument with mother nature." Bunny replies playfully, though she has no idea she's already addressed the teacher in question. In a playful and unknowing fashion.

"Good evening sir! Two tickets, for my friend and me!" she smiles, grins, and then she reaches into her pocket.

Only to realize her dress doesn't have pockets. And she doesn't have a bag. And she's probably not stuck the tickets in her shoes... so she winces, she turns to Rahne, and then...

    PUSHES RAHNE INTO THE MUSEUM!

    "RUN GIRL RUN!"

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
WAIT WHAT?

Rahne trusts Bunny, and this isn't her first time being put into stress without warning. She isn't sure what exactly just happened (she could afford to pay their way in!) so she does a short sprint.

And jumps, catching a door frame and swinging around and up into a window, and then she's gone. She's pulled a stealth, managing to hide from security in the museum, and ...

It's a broom closet.

"Dangit Bunny."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
    It's a broom closet.

    A Broom closet that giggles.

A giggling broom closet, if you will, because Bunny had followed suit, and was currently stuck on a shelf, wedged in with a bunch of cleaning supplies and one of those hundred-pound containers of floor wax, and she's trying her dangest to not giggle and laugh at the predicament they're in.

But some things can't be helped.

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
"Some good moves," Rahne says softly as feet run past, chasing after wherever they did NOT go. She was doing some enhanced athletics, so if Bunny followed? That's impressive.

She has a mop on her head right now, looking like she might have lost her hat someplace. It was a nice hat. :(

"Soo. Nice museum," she adds, trying not to giggle. Faiiiiling.. :)

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Stunning museum, Dahling. The dust back here *really* speaks to me. It say... it says... it..say--"

Bunny sneezes hard, one of her pink sneakers falling off!
"Ugh. It says 'oh god there's spiders back here'! GETMEOUT!"

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne Sinclair sighs. She waves, pushing the door open. Then as soon as Bunny's gone out (she has good reasons) she herself comes out, and walks toward the front entrance.

Where she explains, and buys herself and Bunny both tickets. Then after she's explained, and promised not to run in the halls, she goes to try and find wherever Bunny's hiding place is now.

Because she's not really one to break rules. Museums are nice places after all.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny had been watching, and she's sitting on a staircase marked "NO ADMITTANCE, please use elevator" when Rahne comes back around.

She has, however, recovered Rahne's hat. And she's wearing it. Backwards.

"I see you went back and paid the man."

Rahne Sinclair has posed:
Rahne comes over, then sits next to. She shrugs, not really sure what to say. Then she nudges with her knee against Bunny's knee. "Coulda run more. I wasna raised t' do thet." She seems apologetic. She seems sorry. But she'd do it again.

"Ah dinna want ye t' get in trouble." Which has a lot of implications, phrased that way.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"I wasn't either, but... it seemed like a good idea at the time." Bunny replies, and she takes off Rahne's hat, holding it in her hands a moment, and then she reaches up to put it on Rahne's head.

"You oughta cut loose sometime though, Rahne. Even I can't stay cooped up in my head forever."
