Date of Scene: 24 April 2020
Location: Themysciran Embassy
Synopsis: Alexander and Patsy warn Diana of troublesome affairs with Hades and Dionysis. Alexander also tells Diana how wonderful she is!
Cast of Characters: Alexander Aaron, Patsy Walker, Diana Prince

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"So," Alexander Aaron had taken his time in explaining, talking hemming and hawing, prevaricating from telling Patsy exactly the reason he had called her to wander out and about with him. It was not usually his way, to mince words and all, nor was it his way to have that subtle edge of agitation to him as he strolled along the streets of Manhattan, with the child star at his side.
"There's this thing. Going on. With my family." He looks sidelong toward Patsy, and she knows how much he loves his family after all. "Some weirdness that has sort of spilled over to people whom I know."
A few more strides then the corner is taken as they come up on the street that leads to the embassy, his footsteps even and his backpack jostling a bit on his shoulder. "So I wanted to give you a heads up."

Patsy Walker has posed:
In a pastel-pink windbreaker and fresh blue-jeans, her cream-colored hunting boots keeping a consistent pace beside Alexander, Patsy glances over. The red-head has her hair done up into a messy bun, though a fly-away wisp or two has slipped during their travels. Nails painted a cheery spring-green comb them back over her ear as she nods.

"I appreciate the heads-up for sure, Alexander. I mean, I really do. The portal stuff in the park got weirder, but I think it's all figured out now. Is there anything I can do to help with your family stuff? I don't mean to intrude with the offer if I am," she adds, adjusting the lay of her soft brown-leather purse over her shoulder.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Oh nah," Alexander says as they reach that curve in the sidewalk that leads to the wrought iron fence and the small walk that leads up to the double doors of the embassy itself. He pauses long enough to hold the gate open like a gentleman and then falls into step behind her once she wanders past.
"It's... complicated. Here, if Diana's in I'll explain it both to you guys at once, but if she's not I'll tell you while we're on our way back. Cool?"
And if it is, indeed, 'cool' then he shall do so. For now, once they head into that front reception area near Diana's office he'll wait til he gets the attention of someone suitable before he says to them, "Heya, Alexander Aaron to see Ms. Prince?"

Diana Prince has posed:
"Miss Prince is here to see Alexander Aaron." Diana's voice speaks up from atop the grand staircase in the lobby. She's at the top of said stairs and she's making her descent with her hand gliding down the railing. Wearing loose black pants and a sleeve white top, Diana's styled casually but nicely. Her dark hair is well styled in large waves rolling down the right side of her face and her lips are painted a bright crimson. She smiles at both Alex and Patsy as she reaches the foyer's floor and starts to walk toward them.

"To what do I owe this visit?" She asks Alexander before her eyes go then to Patsy and she offers her a hand. "Hello, so nice to meet you." She states to the young woman with her Nephew.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Patsy is admittedly in more than a little awe of the Embassy upon arriving at its gates. She quickly walks through them and slows to a pause to let Alexander catch up. "Yeah, that's cool," replies the author as she falls into place beside him. Entering the lobby gives her another reason for her mouth to fall open in appreciation.

"Oh wow..." she breathes, holding onto her purse half across her chest as if it were some life-line. "I've heard a lot about this place." Then Diana speaks and Patsy turns to look up the staircase towards the woman. Now her mouth falls open for a second before sense catches up to her. "Hi, nice to meet you too," as she reaches to return Diana's handshake with a brisk motion. Otherwise, Patsy rolls her lips and rocks to her bootheels and back subtly, looking between Alexander and THE Diana Prince with unhidden curiosity.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
Smiling easily, Alexander turns and makes the needed introductions, gesturing with one hand casually. As for what he's wearing they've both seen him in similar things a million times before, the sneakers, the blue jeans, the t-shirt only this time it's /red/ and has no image nor slogan on it whatsoever. Perhaps he's dressing up for once.
"Diana, if I may have the honor of introducing you to my friend Ms. Patsy Walker?" He nods to her, "Patsy, this is my Aunt Diana."
And with that he steps back to let them exchange the needed pleasantries for such a meeting.

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana smiles between the two of them. "To meet a friend of Alexander's is to be honored with their presence." She replies to Patsy and then glances to Alexander to pat him softly on a shoulder. "He needs more friends..." She says this in a teasing sort've way, the kind of joke a 'fun aunt' would make! Yay!

The Princess then smiles between the two of them. "You are in luck, I have a little bit of free time and I was just about to step out into the courtyard. Care to join?" She asks them as she turns toward the central hallway that runs through the Embassy toward said central courtyard.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Patsy can't help smiling. There's something about the entire introduction that makes her feel both truly honored and comfortable. She also can't help the soft laugh at Diana's comment. "Hey, I guess I count as one of them."

A little shrug of her shoulders is humble in its way. She glances to Alexander as far as prompting for following the dark-haired woman out of the lobby and towards the courtyard, sure to fall into place beside him again as they walk.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
A small snort comes from Alexander at the teasing as he stuffs his hands even deeper into his pockets, features twisting a little with a small roll of the eyes when he shifts his gaze over to Patsy, as if to say silently, 'You see what I have to put up with?'
But then he looks back to the Woman of Wonder and tells her, "That would be nice, sure. Though I have ummm, news, of a sort. I should share. Also sort of concerns Patsy as well, so I figured I should tell you guys at the same time?"
And with that he'll step right on after the tall woman, following in her footsteps as she moves to the aforementioned courtyard.

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana leads the pair through the central hallway and at the end of it are the double doors that lead out into the daylight of the garden at the center of the property. Diana glances over to Alexander as he speaks of news that concerns Patsy as well and it makes her nod ever so slightly. "I hope it is good news." She says with a sense on her tone that hints she might feel it sounds as though it is not, considering how Alexander has framed it.

'Are they engaged?'
'Did Alexander knock her up?'
'Did he beat her Hot Wings eating record?'

These are thoughts that could be going through Diana's mind, but who's to say! That would require a mind reader to find out!

Once at the double doors, Diana opens them and strides on out into the cool shade offered by the immediate close proximity to the Embassy, then she leads them out onto the cobblestone pathway of the garden itself.

"Alexander only ever comes to see me when he has some manner of 'huge news' to share with me." Diana tells Patsy specifically with a light smile. "And he never calls before showing up." She grins at Alex then.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Quiet as she walks alongside Alexander, Patsy lets her eyes rove and take in the architecture even as they exit out into the openness beyond the central hallway. She takes in a deep breath to appreciate the foliage-cooled stillness outside. Her attention returns to Diana as she realizes she's being addressed.

"Really? Never calls? In this day and age with everybody playing on their cellphones?" Alexander now gets a look from the author. "My friend, you have no excuse," she chides in a friendly manner with a little grin.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"That's not true." Alexander follows along into the open area and he smirks sidelong toward Diana as he points out with a pointing fingertip, "I called that once, way back when." Which, to be fair, is true. But with how Diana's memory must be going she probably has forgotten.
He does, however, step around and ahead of them a little bit, to get in a place where they both can see him and he turns around walking backwards a little bit at first. "I think I mentioned before, Diana, that Hades had been trying to get in touch with me, right?"

Diana Prince has posed:
A quick glance between Patsy and Alexander, the Princess shows a hint of a grin at the first part of what Alex replies to her with before the second causes the grin to fade. As they step further out into the gardens they come to the fountain at it's center and she motions toward it. "Please sit if you would like." She says to them both.

"I do remember, Alexander." She tells him. "I am assuming that you have now spoken to, him, or to someone associated with him?" She asks then before she glances over to Patsy to give her a momentarily more measured look. Is she that contact? It seems a little unlikely, but anything is possible when it comes to the Pantheon of Gods and Goddesses that they are part and parcel with.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Patsy grins to herself as she watches Alexander move out ahead. She keeps her steps still fairly restrained though loose, indicative of some natural kinesthetic ability. When the seating at the fountain is offered, the author takes it, crossing her legs at the knee and still glancing between Alexander and their hostess.

The name-drop of the god, however, is enough for her to gape a little. "Holy crap, //the// Hades?" She then winces. "Sorry, Miss Diana." For language, apparently, in a refined place such as this.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
Not taking a seat for the moment, Alexander sort of walks back and forth in front of them as he nods toward Patsy, "Yeah, my uncle. He..." A glance is given to Diana as he smiles a little to her, then uncurls a hand, "He didn't seem so bad. But I think it was because he wanted something from me."
That having been said he stops pacing and opens his hands as he speaks, "An acquaintance brought me into his presence, and we talked some. Apparently there's an issue with worshipers. There's a society called the Citizens of Elis who partake of a ritual to laud Hades once a year where all sorts of horrible things happen."
He pauses to look at Diana, "Except, Hades says he doesn't want these people worshiping him, and that the ritual has nothing to do with him, it's a joke in some way by Dionysus a hundred years in the making. Thing s with it being an homage of a sort? Zeus won't allow Hades to redress it. So he's asked me to look into it."

Diana Prince has posed:
"No apologies needed." Diana replies to Patsy then with an even stare. "The... Hades... and the rest of his ilk tend to drive the rest of us, here attempting to live our lives as peacefully and normally as we are able to, as mad with absurdities, as they possibly can. They always have, they always will."

Back to Alexander, Diana places her eyes and her stare goes a shade colder. Her arms cross over her stomach and she leans her weight primarily on to her left foot now since she's remained standing with the sun shining down from behind her. "If you can find the location of this ritual, Alexander, I will handle it from there. Such things need not be taken place any longer in this world." Even just hearing what little Alex has said, she has a pretty good idea what sort of 'thing' it must be. As if she's dealt with this sort've thing before.

Patsy Walker has posed:
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh," whispers Patsy after Diana's explanation, as if she might understand a little just how weird the day has gotten for both the woman and for Alexander with this revelation. Her light-blue eyes still shift between the two of them as she listens, her hands folded in her lap, spine straight. Even if her facade is politesse, the gears in her mind are already turning rapidly.

"Um -- I'm sorry to be, you know, //that// person who isn't fully aware of how absurd Hades and his ilk are, but why won't Zeus let Hades figure this out himself? That's...kind of rude." She tumbles her pointer fingers in a circle before her own stomach and grimace-smiles.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
To explain to Patsy, Alex says qietly, "The elders in our family, they umm... they have this sort of detente. They came up with to survive the millenia and all while most other pantheons have sort of died out. It precludes them from going at each other quite so openly." He tries a small smile, knowing how strange that might see to her.
"I already have an obligation to go, I've given my word." Alexander says as he looks to Diana and she likely knows exactly what these sort of celebrations entail. A glance is given toward Patsy and it's clear he's not inclined to go into it, so he just says quietly. "I could perhaps use some back up. But I already have an invitation. And I plan to see what I can."
He gestures with a nod to Patsy as he murmurs, "Thing is, Dionysus knows what's happening, and he sent several creatures to persuade me to not do this. And that makes things possibly dangerous for you guys. Maybe. But I thought I should give you a heads up."

Diana Prince has posed:
To Patsy. "The political infighting that takes place within the realm of the Gods is a bigger and more expansive mess than is easily explained. Thousands of years of bickering, built upon eons of fighting of all varities, small and... quite large. There was a time when I was a child where I was lead to believe all of the Gods had died in a brutal feud. But I came to learn the truth, eventually, that they had isolated themselves from my people under the desire to keep us isolated and there-by safer. Zeus's decree. He is... as complicated as a Being can be."

She looks back to Alexander then. "I worry for your safety, Alexander." She warns him. "You are new to much of this, and those at such a gathering may not recognize your authority or word. They may try to challenge you, with threated of bloodshed. If I am there, I could perhaps stop things, peacefully." But even she knows it could go either way even with her presence. Especially with Dionysus having a highly desired 'set outcome' for it all.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Patsy looks from Alexander's explanation to Diana's further details and then blinks to herself, her eyes sliding away to some middle distance. "Whoa," she mutters under her breath. Again, she reaches up with her cheerily-painted nails to tuck back the loose wisp of red hair behind her ear, this having been teased loose by a breeze.

Still, when she realizes someone's speaking to her again, she glances back, her own expression solemn. "I think you've got a lot of 'umph' if Miss Diana comes along, but I mean...I can help too, if you want? I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. I'm...I'm not a god though, so...I understand if I'm not enough 'umph', you know?"

Alexander Aaron has posed:
Looking down for a time, Alexander frowns and rocks back on his heels. He looks up and sort of smiles crookedly at Diana, "No offense, Diana. But you're not going to be able to protect me forever. And I'm going to need to face these sorts of things at some point or another. Might as well be now." Though, to be fair, he doesn't seem one hundred percent set on it.
But then he looks at Patsy and smiles a little more, but gently. "Nah, it's not your fight, Pats. I was more telling you in case... well in case one of them tries to get at me through my friends. So if you see something strange, or get a bad feeling for what you think is no reason? Please take heed and all. Get out of the area, or get help. Okay?"

Diana Prince has posed:
To both of them, Diana looks and she quietly grows tense at this situation but it's Alex's direct response to her that eases her tension some. She smirks at him faintly. "I understand that, and if this is what you feel you need to do then I will not shove you aside and take it on myself. As for their ... pathetic attempts at sending minions to disuade my involvement though?" Diana quietly, and shortly, laughs before she smiles and glances skyward with a shake of her head. "It is nothing I am not already used to." She states in her very non-American accented voice.

"Fighting creatures of the the underworld, overworld, between worlds, and beyond... it comes with the territory, so to speak." She looks directly onto Patsy. "If you do need help, you are welcome here for safe harbor. My sisters and I will be here for you, should you need our aide."

Patsy Walker has posed:
"Cross my heart, I'll let you know immediately if something hinky shows up to bother me," Patsy quickly reassures Alexander. She even draws an X over her chest with a nail, scritch scritch. She didn't necessarily agree to scatter if something set off her sixth sense for magic, but the implication is at least there.

Her gaze shifts to Diana. The offer seems to startle her for how her hands clench in her lap. Her mouth works for a little before she nods. "Gosh, that's...geez, yes, absolutely, thank you. If the hinky gets to be too hinky, I'll definitely make me way here."

Alexander Aaron has posed:
The youngest of gods gives a nod to them both, his features still a touch pensive as he ponders one and then the other, his thoughts carried on in a silent inner monologue but he nods again as if answering something else entirely. "Okay. That was all mainly, and to sort of introduce you guys." And then, perhaps before Diana can ask, he tells her, "And no we're not dating."
Since /of course/ that's what Diana is going to ask since she can't live without knowing those things. But he smiles a little to the both of the. "I'll let you know how things wrangle out and what happens."
Then he grins a little crookedly and says, "So now, for the real reason I come here. Let's get some free food."
