Date of Scene: 18 December 2022
Location: Forgotten Tomes - Second Floor
Synopsis: Just some downtime before Winter.
Cast of Characters: Veira Lazarescu, Jan de Wit

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Work had been a bit out of sorts with the spaceport attack. Veira was off this week given her birthday was soon incoming. And she was still healing up. She was mostly just bruised, no more stitches. Just the tail end of things. She's currently stretched out on the bed in their bedroom cuddling with one of the dogs and Atilla is dozing on the pillow above her head. The black dragon seems to be having a dream as he legs kick lightly. Possibly chasing something.

Jan de Wit has posed:
As always, Jan was one to practice on a daily basis. Though his mutant abilities likely meant it wasn't necessarily needed, it was habit. Plus, Jan was a firm believer that everyone could improve - no matter their skill at a particular passion.

Coming into the bedroom, freshly showered and clean, he grinned over at his dozing fiance. A slight chuckle as he saw the dragon kicking in his sleep - it was adorable. He moved over to the side of the bed where she was not draped across, and started getting into the bed next to her. The young dog, alert, looks over and their tail starts thumping against the bed. "Feeling any better?" He asks Veira, once he's situated.

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira's eye is closed for the time being, she knew that it was bad just lazing around, but she was feeling her age today. She smells a freshly showered Jan though and she gives a soft smile as she starts to stir. She opens her eye and then looks across to him. This is all as the dog is wiggling away from her to go love on Jan.

"I'm feeling the pains before Winter sets in. I don't know what it is really. Plus getting beaten up never helps." she chuckles to him. "How are you feeling today? Was practice good?" she asks him.

Jan de Wit has posed:
A hand rests on her hip, while the other tries to wrangle the pup for maximum warmth between the two adults. "The pains? Aches?" He wonders, stroking at her side. "Have you soaked in a hot bath today?" The man wonders. "Epsom salts?" A slight grin.

"Today was good - practice was good. I wonder if I am hitting a plateau in some of the routines. I am wondering if I should get more variety in the steps - or look for more coreographers."

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira gives a soft laugh as he wrangles the pup, "He's been enjoying the extra naps the last few days." she admits. "Old injuries combined with the new ones. The last few days of the season seem to be full of aches and then when the Solstice hits everything is better." she admits. "It's weird, I don't know." she whispers.

"Have you thought about teaching?" she asks him. "I don't know if that could change things up or anything really. Or if it is possible to perform and to teach like that." she offers.

Jan de Wit has posed:
"I am sure they all enjoy the extra cuddle time during naps." Jan chuckles, scritching the pup between their shoulders. This, of course, earns more tail thumping. "Well, we can turn the heat up in the house to stave off the cold - I know that I always feel a bit better when warmer than not." He mentions. "Do you think it is connected to your mystical state of being?" He wonders.

A smile. "I have, yes. I don't want to give people the idea that I am retiring, though." He smirks. "Vanity, and all." A waggle of his brows. "I think that might help - find a promising protoge?"

Veira Lazarescu has posed:
Veira reaches over to touch Jan's face and there is a warm smile, "I think we all do." she muses to that. "I more meant that the change in the seasons will bring with it change. My powers are always heightened in the Winter and Spring." she tells him. "Maybe it's a perk or something." she shrugs at that. Then she's moving to stretch a bit. "I need to look more into it really." she mentions to him.

"You could probably find a promising protege, someone that would benefit from having you teach them." she admits. Then there is a chuckle about vanity, "I'm sure if vanity really mattered you'd not be dating me." she points out.

Jan de Wit has posed:
He leans into the touch, smiling as her hand rests on his cheek. "I know it is a favorite of mine, nap time." Jan winks. "I suspect I have a lot more in common with cats than dogs in that regard." He waggles his brows. "It is something we could research at the troll market?" He wonders.

"Perhaps I will start looking for an up and coming dancer, or visit some of the performing arts colleges?" Jan thinks. "And having you at my side is the pinnacle of vanity - you are gorgeous."
