Date of Scene: 23 March 2023
Location: Central Park Zoo
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Franklin Richards, Thea Queen

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin sits in on a bench in a Zoo as he wanted to feel a bit happier, but as he looks around at the empty exhibits, and lack of people he frowns again. He wears his normal disguise of Fantastic Four merch though his shirt, cover by a thick coat, had Reed on it! He looks into the empty cages and says to himself, "I wonder if you like it in there." he sighs, and thinks about it. Sure they didn't have to hunt, or risk life out there in the wild, but there was nothing exciting anymore. Thinking this he locked at the sign and saw it was anteaters so thought maybe he was overthinking the simmularities with a chuckle

The park is nearly empty even though it is mid-day. The few people that are outside are workers passing by, or the few, and far between of others that might be meeting someone else for other buisness. No-one is around Franklin the area he is sitting empty with a sign saying the outer park is shut down till this date. The date being in the future after the weather heated up, The inisde is still on, and not busy, but does have visitors even at this time of day.

Thea Queen has posed:
The New York Zoo was a place that Thea hadn't been at before being a Starling City girl and all that. Not that she didn't come to New York from time to time but there was always something else to do. And it's not like she was a young kid anymore to enjoy these trips. Worst of all though was that it brought back memories of her dead father, and those family trips to the Starling City Zoo.

Straying thoughts are interrupted when she spots the target of her trip here today. Dressed in F4 merch. She rolls her eyes and approaches, the sound of someone stopping not too far from Franklin heard.

"Dressing up like a F4 groupie just makes you stand out more." She comments with some amusement to her voice. "How have you been Franklin?"

Thea is standing nearby, arms loosely folded over her waist, the woman dressed in a pair of low-cut jeans that flare at the bottom along with dark red top and a leather jacket.

Franklin Richards has posed:
The frown turns to surprised as he had expected just to tell someone to go away, but it turned out he knew that voice. "Thea? What... what are you doing here?" he stands and turns to look at her, but then down. "Did someone steal the letter? I knew I should of encoded it." he says a bit like he is learning a bit as he goes. Though he smiles it is a half grin, "Perhaps your right, but I will never admit I wear it because I like it." with a sigh he stops as he thinks about how to say this.

He wrings his hands together. "Look.. I had to seperate myself from you. They know who I am it is all public, and I don't want to drag you into all that." he says in a low voice. He thinks about it as that was actually easier then he though though he at least had some time to think about it. Still looking down, "Hydra attacked me in Starling... the Arrow people were there, but I went a little overboard... If that had been angled just a little lower.." he stops not able to continue. Homes, cars, people, even animals... poof it made him shiver.

Thea Queen has posed:
"I suppose leaving a letter was a bit dramatic." Thea points out. Yes, seems like she read it, "... specially when we have phones these days. But what can I expect from a Tango lover, mmm?" the quirk of a grin coming to her expression. "I figured it was something related to that light that came down from the sky that same night..." not as much as figured but actually saw it happening! Even if she was disguised as Red Arrow.

"Are you saying you are dangerous? Or are you saying that others would target the people close to you? There's a big difference there." She says, arms still wrapped together. "Or maybe it's both..." she shakes her head, "That's no living though. Besides, I know how to take care of myself."

Not against beams from the sky though.

"Perhaps you should get yourself a secret identity."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles, "Everyone does phone calls your lucky it wasn't tied to an arrow. When in rome?" and gives a bit of a chuckle still looking down a bit. He nods, slowly, and adds. "I have been inhibiting my power. That light was thankfully restricted to only a brief amount of what could of been released." he notes to answer her question. He sighs a bit and looks up into Space, "It is for out there.. The power isn't ment to be earthly, and sometimes it is dificult to find a converter." he shrugs as it was the best way he could explain it.

He didn't know she was there, but is sure she saw it, and stoped he looked at her again he had that grin on his face.. "You didn't join the Alien Sightings in Starling did you?" with a chuckle he adds, "But no, usually I am okay.. I don't use that stuff as there is no need for it. I am learning to fight better everyday, and other then my dreams I don't use my powers." he stops looking and looks down. "I don't want to say who, but someone came after me. Heck they might still be, and that is why I am worried." he couldn't tell her Hydra or anything as she did not need that ontop of a relaxed life in Starling.

This makes him chuckle, and look up with a smile, "So... both yea.. Its complicated, but really I don't want you hurt because of me, and these guys are bad news. They now know they can't get me even with an army so what is their next move?" he knew Thea had a great mind so would see his logic. He then shrugs a bit, "And I wish I could get a secret identity, but it is the me they want not the secret." and chuckles a bit at that.

Thea Queen has posed:
"And ruin the door to my club? No thank you..." Thea shaking her head slowly back at Franklin. Eventually she makes her way over to sit down on the bench with the young man, "The power may not be earthly but you are. Think that's what matters more, mmm?" she folds one leg over the other and glances at the cages.

"Not much to see over here.." She comments, then laughs, "You mean ASS? I was their first signee. I have my card around somewhere ...." not that she brings it out to show it.

"You mean the armored trucks and the troopers?" She tsks, "They weren't exactly subtle, people know. And I make my business to know what happens in my city." she tells Franklin, brushing some hair from her face.

"Why are they after you?" She then finally asks.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin chuckles a bit at the door comment, and nods glad he used only tape. Listening he looks over at the empty cages as she talk, and smiles. "I try to be... Some days are better then others." and grins just a bit as he was on earth way more now. This was his favorate place to be though maybe just because it was his home planet. That and he actually had a couple friends here. As she spots the caves Franklin turns a little red, and looks down with a smile as she talks about the card. "It is kind of embarassing, all that because of me. Though I am brought back when they wouldn't let me join. It shows Starling people have a good sense of humor even in unsure times though." and grins a bit at that as well.

With a sigh he waves a hand to the cages, "I thought they were just really small!" and chuckles a bit at his bad joke, "No.. this is what happends when you do not look at a schedule before you go.. Aperently New York gets a bit too cold." wishing he could talk about non serious things, but his grin turns into a grimace as he thinks about what to say next. "I am sorry about bringing that to your city. I hope those related get proper punishment, but some died.." he adds a bit sadly, "I couldn't second guess it out there, but I have done enough to them I don't want to hurt more." he adds though a frown hits his face when he thinks about the last question.

"They want me to be their next Fuhrer... after the proper brainwashing, and personality replacement of course.. Science!" and headshakes. "Basically help h... Whoever it might be take over the world, or something silly like that."

Thea Queen has posed:
"It's about UFOs, cosmic people and logic explanation has no room there you see?" Thea points out in an attempt at making a serious face, "So of course you weren't accepted. But don't worry, I can bring you as a plus one. They are easy like that. Just say no if they ask for donations."

"Makes sense they are closed now." ABout the zoo, "Starling City is the same. It still doesn't explain why you chose to come here today. Good place to be alone at?" she shooting a guess.

The talk about Hydra has Thea shake her head slowly. "People die. That's a fact of life. People that put themselves in danger deliberately in order to harm others? They get what's coming to them.." yep, she clearly is no Green Arrow who makes his best not to kill. Must be all that Malcolm Merlyn influence.

"Aren't you a bit too young to be a fuhrer? Besides, you are lacking the moustache." She isn't being serious with those words that's for sure, amusement on her tone, "It seems to me like you are at a crossroads though. Not sure whether you want to be here or .., up there. But you will have to choose some day. Or figure a way to handle it. Your way, not how your parents think you should."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles, and nods. "Perhaps though they should really workshop that name unless you want a city of Asses." and grins a bit at that before adding, "Like New York." and shakes his head. "And you should be careful when you ask an artist why, but if you wish to know... I feel this place is a good representation of the world." he smiles a bit, as he thinks about that though breaks a grin, "Seriously though just good memories here." he points over to the empty Gorilla encampment. "George in there.. loves Bananas though has the dirties humor you would ever hear." though gives the poker face to hide if he is joking or not.

"And you are right, they did have what was coming to them, and I do not think morally I was in the wrong its just.." he stops and thinks about how to say this. "When you point a finger and thousands could die.. Even if they deserve it at what point is it too far?" and asks Thea looking up at her as he wished he knew the answer, but then at his hands again. Franklin had seen planets wiped out for nothing full of people just gone he knew nature had a way, but being the instrument of something even way smaller then that makes him worry.

Though he is still looking down as he continues to answer her. "I can never give them that no matter my age. There are some people or groups that can not handle power so even if someone dear to me was taken it still can not happen. That is why I am trying to get you away from this, as while your safe here around me if they try to force me by taking you I still couldn't do it." he shrugs as he knows that sounds heartless. He would save her if he could of course, but Hydra could not get his power.

out of no-where he chuckles a bit, "Well at least I know one thing I don't want to be... Maybe I should join the academy." he offers it as a side thought. "Who knows.. Officer Richards does have a nice ring to it." though that would be like having a bazooka when you needed a stun gun.

He turns to look up at Thea, "I know the answer... I find whatever hole these people are hiding in and shoot a laser into it." and chuckles lightly shaking his head. "But I can't just do that.. I freaked out enough people with that one the other night, and that would kill... a lot of people."

Thea Queen has posed:
"Ah, George... Like in that movie. Gotta hug him, and love him, and call him George.." Thea quotes with a smirk, blue eyes ahead on the empty cage, "Most likely someone that liked that movie named him." because there are no coincidences.

"Being a cop doesn't sound like it would be the answer..." She arches a brow at what Franklin is saying, "You would get powered villains starting to target cops because of it." she gives it a thought then suggests.

"Have you thought about a hero group? Not the F4. But there's the Avengers." she says, "Or even the Justice League. They are very public. Well, some of them are. And they have experience in handling both lives. Not that I am saying your parents don't. But, by experience, family always tries to hard to protect us when sometimes they just need to let us figure things out by ourselves..."

Yes, she still remembers how her brother was against her joining Team Arrow.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles, and nods. "Though I think more curious then Bugs Bunny, but yes!" he nods looking around a bit. "The animals here are very well taken care of. it would make sense they name them after these things, though what I don't understand is how the Ape knew its own name." and chuckles a bit at that only joking as obviously animals could understand english. "Once things are open... no." he chides himself for forgetting he was trying to seperate from her so she wouldn't be in trouble not invite her to other things! Thea often made him lose track of what needed to be done then what he wanted to be done, but not this time.. No this time he was on point!

As she comments about the cops he nods, "It was a random idea, but your right. they are not near ready to handle that. Poor folks though bravely trying they are just so out gunned." and shakes his head at that thinking he would be hiding in a corner with no powers at this point.

He smiles at the idea of joining a group, "One things hero's do not like.. Is a kid half their age pointing a finger at something and making the problem go away." he shakes his head at that. "To be honest that was part of the reason for the limitors." he embarasedly looks down. "I wouldn't let my family or me age I held them subconsciously in a locked age.. though I fixed it later of course." franklin sighs, and shrugs. "No.. they stopped me because I was helping too much, and I learned to hide what I could really do to small parlor tricks.. Though I messed up that night."
